Not sure if this place is open, as I couldn’t make it past the human shit and piss smell off of 6th St. Combined with the multitude of drunks, meth heads and heroine addicts that call this corner home. If you are visiting Austin and looking for a liquor store downtown, go to Urban Liquors off of Congress between 2nd and 3rd.

Great selection and awesome service from the two dudes that work there. It’s placed on a sketchy corner, but whatever. You can get something really awesome if you go during their clearance sales.

Great location for me to stop on the way home. Workers are always helpful and nice. They always have the random liquor I request in stock. Rock on.

Best liquor store in the downtown area. Excellent selection of tequilas, mescals, and sotols, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

We were directed to buy something in place of triple sec, but it was not at all like triple sec. The guy acted as though he knew what he was talking about. For this particular store, there is a small parking lot in a sketchy neighborhood. The wine selection is poor(perhaps the neighborhood doesn’t warrant such a wide selection) and a couple of dollars more than it should be, but it IS a locally owned business.

This is another Austin success story. starting out decades ago, twin liquors distingushes itself as the top retail liquor store in all of Austin and possibly the state of Texas. I believe you can find the best prices on any kind of liquor you are looking for at Twin Liquors. This family gives so much back to the community and has for many years. It isn’t all about profit with Twin Liquors, just ask there employees, they too are top grade just like the products they sell.
