Your average city park facility. I have seen nicer. We came here to play our kickball playoffs, and a softball field isnt good for that, so that may skew my opinion downward a bit. But its a nice size area, and moderately well on the upkeep.

This weekend my husband’s kickball team had a tournament that landed us in Del Valle. It’s a bit of a drive from where I live, however, I found that I enjoyed the environment. The fields are relatively clean and well kept. I was surprised to find that the women’s rest room was clean and had soap. Most of my «park» or field experiences have led me to believe otherwise. I actually packed a bar of soap and wipes just in case. Having a two year old will prepare you for life’s little suprises. The tournament went well and was well organized. Yippee!

I have been playing here with for the past couple weeks. The fields have always been very well maintained, the bathrooms not as much. The fence is a bit short(286yd I believe) but unless you’re a serious slugger I don’t think that’s going to be a problem. Most of the softball games have been accompanied with drinking and music. We’ve been asked by the ranger to cut the music out once, and they don’t allow bottles but cans are good. Oh yeah, and it’s right next to the correctional facility so there’s that. Overall it’s a nice field. It’s a little far away from downtown Austin, but traffic is not usually that bad, this far down 71.
