Total Uniforms

I was in need of scrubs for my new job and I learned my employer will buy the first pair. Score! I found this uniform shop via Unilocal with mostly great reviews. Thanks Unilocal!
The employee was very helpful when I told her I wanted Grey’s Anatomy uniform. She showed me 3 different types that they offer and we got sizes for me to try on. I was happy to try on since I wasn’t sure what size I would need. I hadn’t wore that brand and been awhile since I had to get scrubs. Gray’s Anatomy FYI is more fitted but honestly they are made of decent material and has a modern fit.

I bought some scrubs here on 1÷20÷16 and used my debit card. I was charged twice for my purchase and the store is refusing to refund my money. When I made my purchase my card was swiped twice, I was told that it «didn’t go through» the first time. I have called multiple times and spoken to the manager with no resolution and ended up having to file a dispute with my bank. The first time I was told the second charge would «fall off» in a couple days, which was never going to happen because the second charge was never pending, the same amount was debited back to back. I waited about a week later to call and a different manager told me to come to the store and they would refund my card, acknowledging they had charged me twice. When I went up there at the agreed time for my refund the manager I had spoken to that told me they would refund my card wasn’t there. The only manager there was the one I had spoken to on the phone a couple times before and she refused to refund my card. I brought a copy of my bank statement showing the duplicate debit but she refused to even look at it, saying something along the lines of «you need to call your bank, that’s not going to work.» I don’t need any additional problems or stressors in my life and this store has caused a big one. I will never shop here again.

I have never bought scrubs before walking into this store so I was a little nervous. I told the lady that was there my situation and she was very polite and helpful asking questions and showing me scrubs that were perfect. I would absolutely rather go here than Walmart or buy online since scrubs all fit different.

We ordered some uniforms for our employees. We had to exchange some for different sizes and we were charged a restocking fee. I will get my scrubs elsewhere in the future.

This store has an awesome selection. They carry xxs Grey’s Anatomy scrubs in many diff colors for small girls like myself. The staff is really friendly & helpful. They didn’t have the GA Candy Pink scrubs I wanted in store so they ordered them for me & it only took about 5 days for them to call me & tell me that they were ready for pick up. I’ll be buying more from them! They also have really nice scrub sweaters/​jackets.

5 Stars because they have what you need if you’re an RN working for St. David health system. Wide variety of navy blue (indigo) scrub tops/​bottoms/​jackets, also a small selection of navy blue maternity scrubs, and a men’s section. Friendly service. Plenty of clean fitting rooms. Small private parking lot out front. Super close to St. David south hospital. Pricey, but no more or less pricey than the next scrub store. Scrubs are just plain expensive!

I don’t know about the other reviewers experiences but mine was jolly good indeed. I walked in at 5 p.m. on a Friday and there were two employees there. I was approached by one and she was very helpful and showed me to the men’s and unisex sections and helped me pick out a couple styles and sizes that might work for me. Note that the store is small and the scrubs are mostly women’s, which is understandable. Even tho the store is on the small side there seemed to be a good selection of colors and styles, but I’m a gentleman so I tend to purchase the basics. I’m easy like that.
The prices were more expensive than say Walmart, where I had gotten my last pair of scrubs, but I’d rather support a local, small business than some giant faceless multinational corporation that treats its employees like dirt and pays them like serfs. Besides the Walmart heirs are billionaires many times over. And it wasn’t that much more expensive. I paid $ 19 (not incl tax) for a nice pair of brand name Cherokee pants (they were on sale from $ 21) that were much nicer than the $ 13 I paid for some no name brand pair of Walmart pants. At Walmart I received absolutely no help from any employees, not that I blame them (they are horribly understaffed). Of course at Walmart I had to sort thru a huge rack of XXXL and XS scrubs for 45 mins just to find the very few M and L size scrubs they have in stock. Can you tell that I dislike Walmart? Is it that obvious?
As for buying online vs in a store, I tried that before going to Total Uniforms to try to save a few smackers and it ended up being a total disaster. I studied the size chart fastidiously and I even procured a measuring tape that tailors use to get my measurements right and the scrubs I received were still much too big. Then I had the hassle of going to the post office to return them and I had to pay for the return shipping. After that and trying to buy shoes on Amazon once, I have sworn off ever trying to buy shoes or clothing online. It’s simply not worth the hassle. I’d rather pay extra and be able to try stuff on first. But I digress, all in all I would definitely recommend TU if you need scrubs.

RUDE! They are rude in-​person and rude on the phone. Avoid this place.

If I didn’t need scrubs for Monday I would have taken my business elsewhere. The customer service was AWFUL. I came in about 40 minutes before closing and was the only person in there the whole time. I didn’t know anything about brands or where the ladies’ sections were, so I had to repeatedly ask for specifics that I wanted. I went into the changing room about 6 times; had to put on and take off clothes because not one of the ladies working the store offered to bring me different sizes or brands. I WAS THE ONLY ONE IN THE STORE. GET OFF YOUR ASS AND HELP YOU IDIOTS. I had to ask about 4 times for ladies’ bottoms and finally found some on my own. I needed a size up when I made it to the counter so ran back over to find my size… again no help was offered. The ladies just stood there like zombies, waiting for me to find my size.
Speaking of running around, the whole time I felt rushed, like I was providing a disservice to THEM, instead of them servicing me. If you’re gonna be in the customer service game, get your head out of your ass and help your freaking customers and provide a good shopping environment. At their closing time, a lady walked up to the outside of the door wanting to come in, and the older woman working the store said, «REALLY? SERIOUSLY??» really loud like it was ABSURD that someone would try to come into her store and give her money. I was standing there and could clearly hear. Talk about unprofessional. I said, «Are you guys trying to get out of here?» just to break the ice and she said, «Uh yes.» So I replied, «Oh I’m sorry I’m taking so long!» and she said nothing in return. Really I should have said, «I’m NOT sorry for taking so long! You guys are a bunch of lazy people, no wonder it’s taking me this long to find a good pair of scrubs. Jerks.»
Never going back. These people need to get a better attitude or figure out why they’re so miserable with their lives.

I thought this place was wonderful. The lady at the counter was extremely helpful and didn’t mind that I tried on so many scrubs to get the right look and fit. She did it all with a big smile on her face. I went to another scrubs place in Houston where the owner literally told me I could not try anymore scrubs on after trying on a few scrubs, so this place just seemed absolutely great.
The best thing is I found the perfect set of scrubs! Just the right color, right fit. I’m short and more petite so I have to make sure things will fit correctly. The lady was extremely friendly about finding the right set for me.
This place is actually not expensive. I spent $ 44 for a set of scrubs that are good quality and good looking. I went to Scrubs for Less in Houston with rude service and more expensive scrubs (ironically), so I think this place is just right.

I have been using Total Uniforms for years and love every minute of it. I have several locations and used the north one for my north office and Ben white for South. I stopped using the North location as they are less than competent. Ben white are great! Ann is the nicest most helpful person you will ever meet and does everything she can to price compare. I use to be with the Uniform Place and I think they get there employees on the side of the road. Also, let me say that I never, EVER write reviews as i figure the people who right them prob work at the store they are reviewing, but i don’t. I’m the manager for a busy medical office as don’t really have time to do this but I feel that strong about this location. When i saw the other review with one star i had to say something. Also, i looked on the website the first person said was better and cheaper… LIES! Ann can beat there prices and with a smile, not the flicker of a computer screen.

This place was okay. Went here back in the summer of 2008.
It was a cute little organized shop. They had different brands and types of scrubs but not a huge selection as the shop isn’t *all* that big and not a wide color section either. –1 star
I didn’t end up buying scrubs from here because they were waaaaay too expensive (sorry small business, but I have a small budget) and I ended up purchasing my scrubs online (woo
!) for like half the price. –1 star
I did, however, purchase my Peaches lab coat from here. It was sort of expensive but not that bad and the coat has lasted me for almost 2 years now. It seemed like everything they carried was pretty high quality stuff and I appreciated the organization. + 1 star
Their staff was helpful and friendly. up until I asked about any sort of medical student discount and mentioned that I attend a Chinese Medicine graduate medical school. It’s an accredited, legitimate medical school where I learn a complete system of medicine and treat patients in a clinical setting so I don’t appreciate the pompous attitude and judgmental looks kthx. — 2 stars!
I just don’t understand why you would treat a customer/​human being like that. I told everyone at my school never to come here so they don’t have to feel humiliated at the legitimate profession that they chose.
Also, the dressing rooms weren’t bad. Pretty spacious if I remember correctly.
Mostly this place served as a way for me to find out what size I am in Grey’s Anatomy scrubs. heh. I’d like to come back here and give it another try and see what their prices are like nowadays since Grey’s scrubs have skyrocketed online, but I don’t need to be treated like that.
