This dry cleaner is terrible. I gave them my brand new tuxedo to clean. They returned to me someone else’s tuxedo(a mismatched pair with jacket & pants from 2 different manufacturers). Once I realized the error(the next time I needed a tuxedo) I went to them and asked for help. They were extremely rude. They denied that they had made an error & accused me of being dishonest. They didn’t offer to refund the dry cleaning charge. In fact, the owner threatened me & said he would call the police if I did not leave. Stay away from this shop if you value your clothes or if you like polite & competent customer service.

These people wouldn’t know customer service if it hit them over the head with a crow bar. When I went to pick up my dry cleaning, I informed the woman at the counter that my pants had faded and still had a stain. She didn’t look pleased that I was raising a concern, and she begrudgingly brought out Sal. I am assuming he is the owner? Sal was a nice, approachable person. He gave the technical explanation as to why he believed I was wrong. I didn’t quite buy the reason but he was so professional and warm that I thought, ok I’ll go with this. However, after he walked away and I got a closer look at the garment in the sunlight it was more obvious then ever that my pants had faded. The interior fabric was a different shade and more like the color I remembered them to be. I mentioned it to the grouchy woman at the counter and she responded with her eyes rolling«well you already talked to Sal, so this is resolved». I told her that I didn’t agree it was resolved and that I felt I shouldn’t pay full price on the dry cleaning for the pants. I asked if she could offer a discount. She didn’t respond to my question and walked over to the phone to call Sal and very lazily stated«she wants to talk to you again». If she had demonstrated any less enthusiasm she would be a zombie. At the end of the day, this review isn’t about the faded pants so much as it was about the way I was treated as a customer. The woman at the front desk was exceedingly rude to me. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a dry cleaner. I’m giving this a 2 instead of a 1 because of Sal. I can’t believe they are still in business. In terms of prices, they charge more then my prior New York or San Francisco dry cleaners. I will never come to this establishment again.

I am surprised by the reviews here because my experience has been that this is the best dry cleaners in Austin. I had heard from a friend that if you want your clothes cleaned properly and professionally this is the place to go. He was right. They clean all the clothes on site and everything comes back crisp and clean. I have taken clothes to other cleaners and got the«tried and tried» tag on them. Without any notice of stain, Tip Top sends them back clean and perfect. I say for selfish purposes it is a treasure. Small business owner and staff that have been there 20+ years who remember their customers. It’s a 20 minute drive to and fro but it’s the best for your hard earned $$ in my opinion.

The prices are a bit high, but it’s a convenient location. My problem with this dry cleaner is that the billing is misleading. I had a full suit, a sweater, and a dress shirt dry-cleaned recently. The bill has the prices listed, and then a line item for«RUSH» at 10% of the order. I didn’t ask for this order to be rushed at all! When I called to question the charge, their employee was very cryptic and then told me that it was a charge for the van and the hangers. She then told me, «Don’t worry, we’ve been charging this for a while now. We didn’t charge you any extra.» I will NOT be going back.

Pricing is too high. For example, $ 50 to hem a sundress and take in around the arms. And they never quote you a price for alterations, so you never know what your walking back into to. They ruined my sundress by the way and didn’ offer a refund, credit, nothing and Sal was just hanging clothes in the back of the store. Goodbye to Tip Top from a 15year customer.

Can’t believe the prices they charge. Holy moly. Over $ 3 to launder a men’s shirt. And then a $ 3 upcharge on another shirt because it was«silk» — even though it clearly is not silk. I will definitely not be going back.

Ladies, do not bring your laundry in with a big stack of your man’s shirts-especially if it is a cute or expensive item. I did and my shirt disappeared. They justify it by saying«well your Man did not stick around to get the proper receipt»…Never again!

Tip Top, you’ve been very, very bad. I took two pairs of jeans and a dress to be hemmed here. I was charged $ 22 for the dress, a very simple, single-layer nylon dress. That is outrageous to begin with, proven even more so when I discovered that they never even did the hem! I paid them $ 22 to have them hold my dress for 3 days. I will be going back and asking for a refund. Let’s hope whoever I speak with is reasonable and refunds me on the spot. Otherwise, am I able to give a businedd no stars?
