Description

Specialties

In a nutshell, we help people who have gotten into trouble. Often it’s a DWI, or possession of marijuana or other drugs. Other times it’s theft, a family violence assault, or taking care of an old arrest warrant. In any case, we take pride in listening to people, assessing their situation, and then helping them best navigate through the case. Our primary goal is to get our clients back into the position they were in before the trouble started, including making sure they are eligible for expunction if possible. No two clients have the same background or circumstances, but every case receives the attention it deserves, and we strive to get the best result possible in every one. Our clients receive personal attention and are represented fully by Mr. Braniff or Mr. Tillman, from start to finish.

History

Established in 2009.

Brian Tillman and Rhett Braniff formed the partnership in November, 2009, combining their two respective practices. Mr. Braniff’s legal background was in prosecution, as an Assistant District Attorney in both Cameron County and Travis County. He later opened a defense practice before forming Tillman Braniff, PLLC. Mr. Tillman’s legal experience is all on the defense side, in private practice and as a contract public defender. Both attorneys have substantial trial experience in all level of criminal cases, from DWI to Drugs, Assault, and even Murder. We take pride in developing personal relationships with our clients, and to the extent possible, returning them to the same position they were in before needing to hire us.

Meet the Business Owner

Brian T.

Business Owner

I was born and raised in Waco, attended Midway High School, and later graduated from the University of Texas in Austin. I went on to get a degree from Vermont Law School and became a member of the Vermont Bar. I practiced private criminal law as well as contract public defense cases, and was a board member of the Vermont Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers before moving back to Austin. Since becoming a Texas Bar member, I have been actively handling criminal cases in Travis county as well as Hays, Williamson, Bastrop, and Caldwell. I truly enjoy helping people through some of their most difficult times, and can’t think of any other career that would give me any more job satisfaction. When I’m not practicing law, I am probably fishing.
