Therapie Boutique Style On the Go

First checked them out when they joined the North Park farmers’ market on Thursdays about a year ago. Since then, Kelly and Lindsey have basically been my stylists! They take time to listen to what I’m looking for and they suggest clothes they know I’ll love. Kelly’s passion for finding just the right style of items for her truck is what makes this shop unique (that, and the fact that it’s mobile of course).
Short and sweet: funky, fun clothes and accessories for all occasions and friendly, attentive owner/​staff.
Regularly at the farmers’ market in North Park every single Thursday so you can find them easily.

This, together with the haircuts on the go is one of the most original concepts I have seen lately. It is just formidable to be able to style your own friends in your birthday party, for example. You only have to call the Therapie Boutique on wheels and they will make your friends and you happy. First time I saw this truck was in some event in East Village. As someone inclined towards art, I was very attracted by the way this was decorated, pop colors, flowers, hippie-​chic and fun. Very happy vibe also extended to the unique clothes and accessories. I am not fan of rip-​offs (cute boutiques that sell items you can get at Ross for half of the price or even less), but this mobile boutique caters really cute things that you can try there and are reasonably priced. I like to check them out at some farmers markets. Also, there is no pressure to shop, so you can just stop buy and admire the pieces while you make your ceramic pig a little bigger:)

I passed by this «store» while walking at the Adams Avenue Street Fair recently. A dress on display caught my eye outside and I was just enthralled with the place. Cute clothing, belts, hats, jewelry, purses, hair accessories… you name it! I ended up buying the dress I saw :) The owner said she gets new stuff all the time.
What’s cool is the store moves around San Diego (i.e. Farmer’s Markets). You can even reserve it for birthdays or special occasions where «Therapie» is much needed. And ladies, let’s be honest, when can you NOT use some retail Therapy?

I was a skeptic about this fashion truck at first. I am not a huge fan of food trucks, based on them being expensive and you don’t really have good presentation or service, so I think that just tainted my brain about the idea of a boutique on wheels. I assumed the clothes would be expensive and probably only fit super skinny girls. Therapie comes out about twice a month and parks outside my office and I was never really tempted to check them out until we happened to be at the same event near Christmas, and with a baby at home my shopping days were very limited.
You know how sometimes you’re STOKED to be completely wrong about something??? The minute I stepped into Therapie, I was impressed. They have a great set-​up, with accessories (hats, scarves, jewelry, belts, etc) in the front of the truck, and then they have two full dressing rooms on your way to the back, which is like a mini department store full of adorable things. Many of their dresses, blouses, etc have sort of a high-​fashion, vintagey look that I absolutely love. They are really good at providing several sizes of each look, so that you don’t get your hopes crushed after realizing they only have twiggy sizes.
Everything I have bought from them is unique and reasonably priced. I got a clutch purse that looks super expensive, ($ 38) and I get compliments on it all the time. I bought three scarves for gifts that are so soft and cozy, and the design is very cool – they were only $ 18 dollars each.
The girls that work in the truck are fashionistas and will offer suggestions or make recommendations if you need help. They are sweet and friendly and personable.
They take cash or credit cards, using the nifty I-​phone card swiper, and can email you your receipt. Love this place!

while exiting the Queen Bees flea market today, I stumbled across Therapie. I’ve seen their adds pop up on City Beat and was intrigued… during a season when one typically indulges on others, I was totally indulging on myself. their clothes were wonderful… I thought many pieces could easily be vintage. the best part? the fabulous price tag. great selection, wonderfully trendy pieces with vintage and girlish vibes. primarily clothing, jewelry, and accessories. no shoes that I saw, but they did provide heels for trying on pieces in the dressing room and provided the most friendly customer assistance I’ve had in a long time. they’re regularly at the North Park farmers market on Thursdays, but will also be around my hood — Normal Heights — this Tuesday (¹²⁄₁₈)… so you should definitely go and support this fabulous business.

This is an amazing boutique! They pulled into my stylist’s salon, House of Imago, a few weeks ago and I was able to shop while my hair was processing. I couldn’t believe the selection available! The owner has an amazing eye and buys only the best and most flattering styles. I could have bought out the whole truck! Therapie will now be at House of Imago every 3^rd Saturday and I am scheduling all my future appointment to match up with the truck’s schedule.

Kelly has really put together a great concept that I think you’re going to see take off on the coattails of the food truck revolution here in San Diego. A truck with style instead of food!
I caught the Therapie Styling Truck at the 57 Degree Food Truck Gathering in June near downtown. The trucks are all lined up in the parking lot and Kelly’s truck was on the other side of the lot so as to distinguish food from fashion… duh!
She has really cute dresses and jewelry and all other kinds of accessories. Being a plus size gal myself, I can’t fit into most of her clothes, but that would never stop me from looking at all the bling baby!
Now we need another clothing truck to outfit fit my thick rockin’ bod!

I love this boutique truck! I went to the North Park Farmers Market for dinner, and left with an affordable necklace and beautiful silk shirt instead! What a great concept that is sure to get a lot of traffic. They have a wide variety of clothing and accessories, all perfect for summer. You’ll be sure to find something unique and fun.
Bonuses: their times and locations are widely available via facebook and twitter, they have two changing room on the truck (with good lighting!), and their entire operation is streamlined for convenience (i.e., they accept credit card using their iPad credit card readers and will email you a receipt).
