Showed up about 10am on a Saturday expecting a long wait and only took about 20 mins. Friendly staff, fair price & speedy service. Can’t ask for more at an inspection place. They even directly me to the nearest title shop with the shortest wait. Did my truck and both motorcycles there. The bikes took about 10 mins total. Definitely going back!

Unilocal lead me here and I was told it would be 20 minutes for an inspection, but they’re already inspecting and it’s only been about 2 minutes. It’s not the fanciest place, but they seem efficient. My wiper blades need to be replaced and they do it here. They do indeed offer complimentary coffee and donuts. They also repair basically any kind of tool/​equipment you need. Lawn mower, chainsaws, fork lift, blade Sharping, etc. Parking is tight!

Quick, honest, and easy.
I was totally in the dark about the two-​part Texas registration process and had been putting it off since we moved to Austin in March (yes, for those of you counting, that’s way past the 30 day grace period). A coworker recommended the Sticker Store for our emissions check. Since the places near our house never seemed to have things in order. I’m so glad she did, because the experience couldn’t have been more positive for what is a rather annoying process.
We’ll definitely be back for future checks… Once Volkswagen figures out what the heck they’re doing to deal with their diesel vehicles.

So fast, so convenient, but do not expect eye contact or a smile!

I usually don’t have a problem on Saturdays. I went today and it took an hour and 5 minutes at 2:30 in Friday. The part that I wasn’t pleased with was the «just have a seat it will be a few minutes» when I walked in.

I had a great experience this morning at The Sticker Store. I got my car inspected (She passed!) and was out of there even sooner than I had expected — within about 10– 15 minutes! Everyone was very friendly and efficient.

This should have been a quick and easy car inspection. This was the first place I found while driving up S 1^st, so I pulled in and asked for an inspection. They came back and said everything checked out, so I paid, but before I left I noticed they put the wrong information on the inspection sticker. Instead of writing in the information for my 2011 Toyota Corolla, they wrote in information for a 2006 Toyota 4-​Runner. I pointed this out to the guy and he said, «well the important thing is the sticker is tied to the car, so it should be okay.» NO. I obviously did not agree with that. I told him I wanted the information for MY car on the inspection sticker. To that he said, «well, we can redo it but I will have to charge you again.» WHAT? I disagreed, so after going back and forth with him, the shop owner finally came over and I pointed out the mistake to him. Their demeanor was that I was really putting them out, but they finally agreed to fix it. I cannot recommend this place to anyone; in fact, I would like to say «STAY AWAY.» One, don’t tell me I have to pay for your mistake. Two, don’t act like I am making your life difficult when I ask you to fix your mistake. And third, apologize to your customer when you cause an inconvenience. I don’t think that is too much to ask.

Hands down, the best place to get a motorcycle or scooter inspected. It’s never taken me more than 10 minutes to get my motorcycle inspected. And, most of that time is spent at the register.

I’ve also used this place for my inspections for years. I’ve failed a couple of times, they told me what I needed to fix, then reinspected it after the repairs… nice, fast, efficient.
They also rent mowers and tillers!

I have been going to this place for 4 years and will continue to return. They aren’t fancy by any stretch but they get the job done and the guy at the front counter is very friendly.

I have used these guys for years, and use only these guys. Good, hardworking guys. Have shut me down for a failure on an inspection, but since they are not trying to sell me car parts, I have no issue with them using inspections as a way to sell me stuff…

Had to get inspection stickers for two cars last month. Just by luck the guys weren’t busy both times, and also they were friendly and quick. This was at the South 1^st location. I have been going there for inspection stickers for years without any problems.
The waiting area is nothing fancy, so don’t dress up. Before I finished a soft drink from the convenience store next door, the car had a new sticker. I valued time over ambiance. The dealer where I bought the cars does inspections, and that would have been plush with a flat screen tv and all, but it wouldn’t have been nearly as ’04.

I wish I could give them zero stars.
I went in this week to get my car inspected, and left with a broken window and a $ 250 bill at another auto shop. I will admit that my passenger side window is slow, and I neglected to mention this to them… However, they rolled down my windows during the inspection and then burned out my window motor trying to get it back up… and NEVER told me.
They parked my car out by the street and sent me on my way, NEVER mentioning that they had broken my passenger side window. I didn’t realize it until I was on my way home and it started to rain, and my window wouldn’t roll up like it normally does.
I called them to let them know they had broken my window, and not only did they refuse to apologize, but they didn’t see any problem with not telling me that they broke it.
I ended up having tp spend the next 3 hours of my day waiting at another auto shop getting it fixed… which cost me $ 250. The Sticker Store didn’t even offer to fix it for me, and refused to apologize, and the guy even hung up on me when I called. I caution you all to not go to this place of business, they clearly don’t have a clue what good custumer service is. It’s a joke.

While I’ve never failed an inspection yet, I learned the hard way that they’re a pain in the ass — so for 4 or 5 years now I always call ahead to the Sticker Store (I sure ain’t gonna call Jiffy Lube no more).
Each time The Sticker Store has had the wiper blade or turn signal light or whatever it was that I needed. It was fixed and I passed and was outta there before I even got through the work I brought with me.

I’ve been here at least 3 times for my car inspections, and they aren’t what you’d call friendly. I can’t remember any of the employees smiling at me. They’re pretty tough, and I’ve seen people with newer vehicles than mine get sent home to buy new tires before they could pass. As of yet, they haven’t failed me, but I think I’ve been lucky. The wait on Saturdays is really long, so bring a book if you go.
Update: You know what? I was so worried about not passing this year, and I did, and I got the guy at the counter to smile and joke with me. They just earned another star.
