History

Established in 2012.

The Spare Driver is a new designated driving service in Austin, Texas. After spending an eternity trying to hail a cab with friends on New Year’s Eve years ago and gaining exposure to outfits in other cities, we recognized the need for a premier designated driving service in the ATX. In hopes of filling the void, serving the public good, and operating a socially responsible enterprise, The Spare Driver was born. We’re 100% Austin and locally owned and operated.
