Jessica’s kelton (red hair Jessica) is awesome! I started going to her when I first moved to Texas. I really liked how she colored and cut my hair, but decided to go somewhere closer to home for awhile. After being unhappy with my current haircut and looking at old pictures I decided to start going back to Jessica. I’m so much happier with my cut and color now! She is awesome and super sweet! Plus she gives the most amazing neck message at rinse! I highly recommend her!

Miranda is amazing. She has been doing my hair since 2007 and let me tell you — there is a reason no one else can touch my hair. I’ll follow this girl anywhere. Luckily, she works at an awesome salon that is clean, organized, and welcoming. I really enjoy my time in there. Back to Miranda: she is experienced, she is fun to talk with, and she really listens to what you want and gets you there. As a DARK haired girl, Miranda has managed to give me red hair I LOVE without killing my strands. I get compliments almost daily on the color, as it is something Miranda whips up especially for me. I’ve been through a LOT of hairstyles and colors with her, and each one looks as fabulous as the last! Book an appointment today — she fills up quickly!

This place works miracles. I came in with a hideous dye job and Crystal not only fixed it, but made it beautiful and how I wanted it in the first place! She really listened to everything I wanted and made sure I was happy with the work. Staff are friendly and the place is just hands down so relaxing and inviting.

Alexis! She always does an amazing job on my hair and being a stylist myself I wouldn’t recommend anyone other than the absolute best.

Allison Schingle is the best!
I’ve been going to her for haircuts for years. She is sweet, honest, professional, stylish, and super creative! She always gives me the haircut and style I have in mind. I have never left the salon feeling like I need to go home and restyle my hair. In fact, I wish wish her blowouts would last forever!!! She also colors my hair and makes great suggestions to help me change things up a bit. I used to feel my best with a shorter chin length hairstyle and Allison helped me feel confident with longer hair. I feel like she really takes into account your facial structure, skin coloring, and personal style when making a hairstyle recommendation! I also love that Allison is always getting additional training that keeps her current with the newest hairstyle trends and hair products. Oh and she also did my hair for my wedding! Which was gorgeous and exactly what I envisioned for my big day. I trust that Allison will keep me looking good through the years and I love that I have such a lovely relationship with my hairstylist.

Alexis is Amazing! I moved to Texas in April and was terrified about having to find a new hairstylist. Alexis alleviated all those fears immediately after the results of my first cut and style. She is incredible and will definitely remain my hairstylist as long as I’m here! Would highly recommend.

I’ve gotten my hair cut by Allison Schingle multiple times and I highly recommend her. She’s like some kind of amazing hair warlock.

I had a BAD hair cut and was pretty depressed.
Went to Jim and he fixed what I thought was unfixable and made me feel so much better!
He knows his stuff!

Absolutely loved my haircut and balayage by Alexis, who still managed to do my hair amazingly despite the electricity shutting down in the entire domain! Will definitely be returning.

My go to guy is JIM! I am African American with naturally curly hair and hands down he gets the job done every single time! He gets my hair just as straight as if I relaxed it, keeps it shiny, flowy, and soft. And let’s not talk about the massage he gives your scalp while at the shampoo bowl, 5 stars across the board isn’t enough! And he is the only hair stylist I will ever allow to cut/​trim my hair!

I got quite lucky. I called in to try to schedule an appointment and they were able to take me in within 30 minutes.
I really liked Cindy. She took the time to understand what type of haircut I wanted. She definitely did a good job of cutting my hair. I also really appreciated the 10% discount for being a Domain resident. I just can’t help but compare my experience with Jackson Ruiz and:
1) The shampooing just wasn’t as relaxing as Jackson Ruiz, where they give you a hot towel & a scalp massage.
2) I wasn’t given much info on what products would work best with my hair/​hairstyle.
3) No product recommendations or questions on what products I was currently using.
4) Haircut took awhile.

This place is fantastic. I’ve been going to Kerry for a while now, and she gives a great men’s cut! No matter what kind of curve ball I might throw at her, she makes my hair look better than I’ve ever had it. Everyone here is very friendly! Also you get a 10% discount if you live in the Domain.

About 6 months ago I decided to try out this salon after reading great reviews on Unilocal.I called to make an appointment and was put on Allison Schingle’s schedule. She is really sweet and I had a great time chatting with her while she did my hair. I was really happy with the cut and the way she blew out my hair. I have long, straight hair that is really flat. After she blew it out, it actually had some volume to it :)
A few weeks later, I asked if she could blow out my hair again for my engagement photos. She wasn’t on schedule to work that day, but said that she would be happy to come in and do my hair (wow, so nice!). Again, my hair turned out great. I was really happy with the way that it looked in my engagement photos.
Then I hired Allison to do hair and make up for my wedding. She traveled all the way down to my venue in south, south Austin and brought another stylist, Amber, with her. They both did a great job. My bridesmaids and I were super happy with how everything turned out.
I’ll definitely be returning to Allison for many more hair cuts in the future!

Mrs Kerry Cobb! You have always been able to work wonders. Very cleanly. Neat and always personable! I messed up my hair badly in highschool and she came to my rescue. Even gave me a few tips if I ever cut my own hair again. Thank you! Will be recommending everyone here :)

Let me begin by saying, I’ve only been here once (I won’t be going back, obviously), so I can’t speak to all of the stylists who work here.
I made a last minute appointment, and was paired up with a «master stylist», and was informed the price of my cut would be $ 45 because of this, instead of $ 35. I said okay, and showed up 30 minutes later to meet my «master stylist» and have my hair cut.
My initial impression of the salon was that it was nicely kept/​stylish, however, that the people who worked here were not genuinely concerned with the customer. The front desk girls felt like they were going through the motions, and I felt no genuine warmth from them. I came from LA, so I’ve experienced my share of pretentious, overpriced, greedy salons, and I would slot The Salon at the Domain in the same category. The other reviewers for this salon, while perhaps having a «great» relationship with their stylist at this salon, really should raise their standard for the money they are paying, in my opinion.
On to the haircut. I’ve sat with my cut now for 3 weeks before deciding to write this review, and I can now confidently say that it was one of the worst haircut experiences I’ve ever had. Yes, the stylist was cordial enough, but she, just like the front desk girls, was not «into it». I showed her a picture of what I wanted, gave her some pretty simple instructions, and she gave me a generic cut that was totally not worth $ 45. Actually, it wasn’t worth any of my money, given that I was expecting something above average at the very least, given the other reviews I read prior to coming in, and receiving something well below average. You can always tell the quality of a cut by how your hair grows out afterward, and my hair looks worse than it did when I came here for my cut, and it’s only been 3 weeks!
Before considering coming here for the first time, I’ll say this. You can find somewhere better. I know I only went once, but I paid attention to the little details on an average day of business, and it’s not worth it. I’ve received stellar haircut experiences before at the same price point, and the difference is in the attitude/​standards of the employees, and the owner. This place is more concerned with its client’s money than they are with delivering a stellar experience.
I am aware the owner may reply to this review and try to save face, but don’t bother, buddy/​honey. Just take my advice, and raise your standard.

So, here’s the thing; My hair doesn’t qualify for the attention of a professional but this isn’t about me.
My wife and I moved here from Mass. about six years ago and she is very particular about her hair and very specific about how she wants to look.
After going to several different stylists in Cedar Park and North Austin, She finally discovered Randi at the salon.
Randi is a professional who realizes the Importance of listening. She is also very skilled in her trade and makes my wife happy and that makes me happy. Randi is also very personable and easy to communicate with (According to my wife)
Therefore, if you are not pleased with your current stylist, treat yourself to a session with Randi.

I had a really great experience with Stephanie. I managed to get a very last minute appointment with her and a great haircut. I don’t really ever get anything crazy done, and have pretty much had the same haircut for a decade, but she did the layers really well. Unilocal check-​ins get a free deep conditioning treatment, and the whole wash/​dry/​haircut will set you back about $ 60. If you live in the Domain, you get a 10% discount too.

I’ve been going here for over a year. I am very picky when it comes to my hair like I am sure most of you are. The Salon at the domain is a 5 star salon for sure. Call for an appointment because drop ins are near impossible!!!
When you arrive you are asked if you’d like some wine or water which is always a plus! I see Jessica and she is great. She styles and all over colors my hair and eyebrows to match. Very friendly! All great experiences!

Came in on a whim on Monday. Cute little place, front staff is really friendly, and the wait wasn’t long at all.
Cindy was awesome. She really took her time to understand what I wanted, and to suggest a similar style that would actually work with my hair. Also super friendly, and great at the whole shampoo/​head massage thing.
Then there was the cut! It ended up being better than what I had walked in wanting.
And all for 60 $ (before tip). I’ve paid more for cuts I’ve hated.

When I showed up with multi tone hair from a bad dye job done elsewhere a few days before my wedding, my new stylist, Jim, made the problem go away. He took time to have a consult with me, spent a good amount of time thinking through what he was going to do, and then executed flawlessly.
For a nervous bride who SO didn’t want to have crazy hair in all wedding photos forever, he reassured me, and absolutely delivered. I’m pretty sure I’m sticking with this salon and stylist for a quite awhile. Thank you for making me look beautiful on my wedding day and for your care and going the extra mile to make it happen!
