Specialties

The OASIS specializes in a family friendly atmosphere guaranteed to make your experience at The OASIS one to remember. Tex-Mex is the most popular food items, including chicken, seafood and salad specials. Perfect Margaritas to go along with a Sunset Dinner cannot be beat. After all, The OASIS is the largest outdoor restaurant in the country overlooking Lake Travis in Austin, Texas. The OASIS has a well earned reputation as the Sunset Capital of Texas! A 30,000 sq. ft. venue can host private parities, events, conferences, seminars, weddings and more.

History

Established in 1982.

The OASIS became a reality when Beau Theriot, owner, purchased the 500 acres of land on which The OASIS is located, to build a small hamburger joint. Since then, his vision expanded to create a Tuscan architecture village with a restaurant that is the largest outdoor venue in the country, with the ability to accommodate over 2,000 guests. A great deal of the 500 acreage was donated by Beau as a Nature Preserve, thus protecting the environment and lake view for generations to come.

Business Owner

Beau Theriot, owner of The OASIS, first envisioned The OASIS as a small «hamburger joint,» which he opened in 1982. It has since become the largest outdoor restaurant in the country with the well-earned reputation as the Sunset Capital of Texas. A true entrepreneur, Beau has owned several restaurants in Houston since 1973, as well as elegant galleries of antiques, furnishings and art in Houston and Austin. His bronze sculpture collection from around the world is prominently displayed throughout The OASIS compound.
