The Lookout

I stumbled across this venue while searching for a beautiful place to host my wedding in October. I reached out to this place inquiring about the date, and within hours someone reached out to me with available dates. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any availability for me, but I was very impressed for their quick response, so I wanted to post about that here. It seems they have great customer service, and that’s always important when it comes to your big day.

Affordable (by Austin prices), easy to work with, beautiful views overlooking the Hill Country, breathtaking sunsets, and soothing evening light.
This couldn’t have been any better. Ann is easy to work with, offers helpful advice (without giving too much advice), and has really created a special venue.
We initially chose another venue before we found the Lookout. Our wedding wouldn’t have been as perfect without the Lookout.

When my husband and I searched for event venues to hold our wedding at, we found it a very difficult decision to make! We wanted somewhere outdoors and beautiful, with a rain and cold contingency plan, all day accessibility, rehearsal nig t capabilities, somewhere that screamed relaxation and beauty.
After a looooong search, we found The Lookout. This is hands down the most beautiful wedding space I have ever been to (yes, I am partial). From the pavilion overlooking the sunset, to the beautiful pond and trees, to the garden, to the brides quarters, each space has been perfectly put together by it’s owner, Ann Jones.
Ann was a delight to work with. Easy to get in touch with, helpful with questions and reminders and supportive if anything stressful arose.
After the wedding my husband turned to me and said,” This is the best 3 grand I ever spent.” I sure feel the same. Highly recommend.

The Lookout is the most beautiful place to get married in the Texas Hill Country! Our guests loved that we could have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in the same location. The grounds are beautiful for pictures and the flowers and greenery provide the perfect décor. The sunset was stunning and the view from both inside the pavilion and from the lookout was breath taking. We are so happy we chose The Lookout as our wedding venue; we (and our guests) had a wonderful time! Thanks, Ann!

We got married here on 3÷1÷14! The Lookout was an amazing venue! It stole my breath away the very first time I saw it! We looked at several venues and my heart kept going back to The Lookout. It is truly swoon-​worthy! They have everything you could ever ask for breathtaking views, a beautiful green garden, a covered pavilion, outdoor games, TONS of space to mingle with your guests and trees lined with lights to set a magical atmosphere at night. If you want to have a perfect outdoor wedding the lookout and the people involved will make it happen! Ann is so nice and so helpful. Our dj wasn’t working out about an hour left in our reception and Ann and Dave saved the day by hooking up their sound system! I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day thanks to the people at the lookout! I highly recommend using three horns that they offer when you view the venue! They do it all! The Lookout was perfect for our wedding I would choose them again time after time!

This location is incredible for parties as well as weddings, with beautiful hill country views during the day and incredible sunsets. But it is unbelievable after dark! The garden is filled with twinkling lights and the ambiance is very romantic. Many beautiful picture perfect settings. I have been fortunate to attend both a party and a wedding here and highly recommend Ann and The Lookout.

I recently got married at The Lookout (October 5^th, 2013) and I could not have been more pleased with my experience, the venue, and the owner, Ann! She was a gem to work with from the very first day and was incredibly helpful!
The entire grounds were GORGEOUS and we only had to add a few decoration touches to make the wedding our own. Ann offered great advice and wonderful vendors to work with to make our wedding wonderful. She offered contact information for various photographers, music vendors, catering and decoration companies — but you do not have to use them. She is flexible and very easy to work with. I was so pleased to know that she only books one wedding a weekend (so you’re not overlapping time or planning/​set up with any other weddings) and you are free to use whomever you like for catering, bartending, cake, music, etc — so long as they have insurance that meets her requirements.
Considering the price for her amazing, gorgeous venue, it was a steal and a simple choice. All of my guests had a great time and loved the views. It really is spectacular and breathtaking. Plus, the kids had a great time playing bocce ball. :)
I HIGHLY recommend contacting Ann Jones and scheduling your special wedding day at her venue. You will not be disappointed! :)

OMG! We would give the Lookout 12 stars if we could. The process of working with Ann was as smooth as it gets. The venue is so beautiful and secluded. We got so many compliments on our venue. Dave, her husband is also wonderful. The nice thing about this place is that is so beautiful that it needs very little decoration. If you can book this place for your wedding, DO IT! We had a beautiful wedding and it was in large part thanks to Ann and The Lookout.

My husband and I picked the Lookout as our wedding venue moments after walking onto the property. The view alone was exactly what we wanted – rolling hill country and a gorgeous sunset right over the horizon. But owner Ann Jones has made her venue even more appealing with a beautiful lawn, a pretty stone pond, comfortable seating nooks tucked into various corners of her garden, and stately old trees wrapped with lights that make the property enchanting at night. The covered pavilion lets brides with their hearts set on an outdoor wedding – like me – still rest easy knowing there is a roof (with plastic sheeting, heaters, and fans should weather call for any of the above), and the concrete floor makes dancing easier too.
We couldn’t have been happier with the Lookout, and so many guests told how beautiful, our venue was. We loved how Texan it was, nestled on an old lavender farm in the middle of rolling hill country hills and ranches. The venue even comes with tables and seating for 100, as well as use of the sound system (although more amps are needed to pipe the sound down clearly to the ceremony area near the pool, and brides wanting the ceremony miked will need to rent an amplification system for that area too).
Every time we look at our pictures, we’re thrilled all over again with our choice of venue. Thanks, Lookout!
