History
Established in 2010.
The Jalopy: rotisserie and press is the brain child of chef and owner Nic Patrizi. After attending the University of Texas, he decided to follow his passion and heritage in the food and beverage world. After two years of business planing and menu creation, Nic threw together the Jalopy.
The idea was to provide Austin with a truly simple product with depth of flavour and adaptability at a reasonable price.
We brine the chicken over night, do our own pickling, and all the sauces are housemade. We love cooking, love people, and love to feed people!

After UT McCombs Business Degree in Finance, Patrizi went in a completely different path of life. Nic’s love for culinary creativity and business has given birth to The Jalopy. Growing up around a large Italian family of cooks and restaurant owners, Patrizi was raised eating, appreciating, and loving a lot of food. As an adult he has put his expertise and inventiveness to the test by creating his delicious menu that can only be described in onomatopoeias like, sizzle, crunch, mmm, burp, and whoopy
