The East End On 7th

Great dive, roomy and hidden.
A friend’s family member works here and it is a gem! It’s kind of out of the way, but just 5 minutes from my house. A neighborhood bar.
It’s cash only and no liquor, but there’s an ATM inside AND you can bring a bottle and they’ll set you up for a fee. Bartenders are super friendly, big patio and cheap beers.
I may hide a cot in the storage room.

The Wine-Rita’s are excellent, many different flavors to choose from. Also the setting of the bar is very chill. I will definitely return soon!

I had an authentic east side experience. The BBQ that was being sold in the parking lot was authentic, drinks were reasonably priced and the live music was a plus.

This was a really chilled out lil place I went to to check out the DJ as a potential vendor for my wedding. I felt like a stuck out like a sore thumb as you can tell there are tons of regulars here. It really felt so homey — like a house party with friends. It was the owners birthday and they were playing cool tejano old school jams inside. very sweet lady moved her reserved sign so we could sit. SO SWEET! loved that!
But since we were there to check out the DJ we went outside and replaced the reserved sign.
As we were heading out the manager stopped and introduced herself to us, and welcomed us there. *Yup! not a regular and it shows! but I felt that was an awesome touch and that’s not something you get at a bar (that ive EVER experienced since moving to Austin/​Round Rock area. I live in RR and bars SHUT IT DOWN AT MIDNIGHT. argh. so hanging out over here was a good time. If not for the mosquitos I would have stayed longer. They had cintronella candles out and all but I think its just me — they LOVE ME!
I’d come back for sure. if not for it being on the other end of the earth from me in RR/​Georgetown area, I’d be here more often just to chill!
HUGE POINTS for this being a San Antonio SPURS bar! Why couldnt I have found this before the playoffs and finals? lol LOVE IT!
