I actually got an inspection for myself prior to selling my home. I was very impressed with the professionalism displayed by The Austin Home Inspector. They went above and beyond my expectations when there was a delay in getting to my home. The report was very easy to read and very helpful in getting things addressed that needed attention. i would recommend them to anyone needing a quality home inspector.

I am incredibly grateful for the services I received from Andy at The Austin Home Inspector. They are extremely professional and thorough, and very flexible (which is helpful during the stressful 7 day option period of buying a home). It isn’t even enough to say that Andy went above and beyond in his duties as my home inspector. When I did a walk through with my realtor just a few days prior to my closing date we discovered that some of the doors no longer opened or closed. We called on Andy, who came over late at night after his busy day to check on the problem. Turns out that the foundation had shifted with all the recent rain. Without Andy’s willingness to put in the extra work for us, I would have been out thousands of dollars. Purchasing a home is a big commitment that comes with a fair amount of risk. I recommend putting your trust in this company to make sure you’re making a good investment.

These guys are the best! I called and they inspected me on short notice, on the next day. Their rate was less than what other companies wanted and they did more. They did a couple things I have never seen done before and I am no stranger to inspections or closings. Add in the fact that the customer service is above and beyond and winner winner chicken dinner. I would not hesitate to recommend or call again. I am more than pleased with the service provided and I consider myself a very picky customer. Bravo job well done and your customer service skills are superior to the other 10 companies I called before scheduling with you. I am so glad I shopped it out and found the best inspection service I believe is available for Austin. Confident in my home purchase knowing the job was done right.

6 months after buying my first house my living room ceiling started leaking. I had no idea where the leak was coming from nor where to start looking. Andy had a few ideas and then found the leak, tested to make sure his hypothesis was correct and recommended an excellent roofer to fix it. The roofer was there within days and the whole fix was quite reasonably priced.
I’m going to hire Andy anytime something goes wrong with my 60+ year old house. He just knows how to figure out the problem and can connect me with trusted pros who will fix it right the first time.

Let me begin by stating that I haven’t used Andy yet because my bid fell through. But each time I’ve called him to schedule an inspection w him or ask him another question, he has been very kind and open to sharing his knowledge about all things inspection. He openly gave me several good recommendations for an engineer for another property and answered questions very knowledgeably. Having purchased seven properties and inspected countless others, I am really looking forward to hiring Andy once my bid gets accepted. Thank you, Andy!

Andy was great. Very knowledgeable and was very accommodating to my tight schedule and closing. He was onsite for some time and did a very thorough job. My house was a brand new construction home and surprisingly enough there were some minor things here and there that were pointed out that I would have never known about. They are being addressed by my builder and in time before my closing. I was onsite during the inspection and he did not mind me asking questions along the way to educate myself on things. I was provided with a very detailed report with instructions for maintenance which I thought was great. A copy was provided to my builder with the recommendations that were provided and suggested. Highly recommended.

Andy Jordan is the best home inspector I have ever used. I have purchased several houses in the past years and used multiple inspectors. Andy is definitively the best, even better than the Professional Engineers who cost twice as much.

Andy did a thorough, amazing inspection of the house we eventually purchased. He gave us an extremely detailed list of everything including cosmetic items, things that won’t lead to immediate issues but should be fixed in time, and issues that need to be addressed with high priority. The conditions underneath the house were posing a problem and he came back once to check on how things were holding up after a heavy storm and then returned again with a lawn specialist to advise on how to fix the problem. Andy made the home-​buying process considerably less stressful and I will absolutely recommend him to others.

I am very impressed with the precision and professionalism that Andy brings to the table when performing home inspections. My wife and I were in a rush to get our new home inspected before the end of the option period and he was able to fit us in within a day. Unfortunately, the listing agent had put on an incorrect key box and we were unable to gain entry on the first day but that did not stop Andy from inspecting every inch of the outside since we were already there. Andy was able to get us rescheduled to inspect the inside within a few days and did not charge us for the second trip out to the property. He was very thorough and found a lot of minor issues but also some very big issues that could have resulted in a major expense down the road. He explained not only the issues he found but also explained how they could impact the integrity of the structure in the future if not repaired.
I have hired other home inspectors and Andy is the only one that uses infrared cameras, moisture/​humidity testers and many other gizmos to get the job done. He definitely has your interests in mind and if there is a an issue, he will find it! Working with Andy during our home inspection was a five-​star experience. He was able to come out to the house on short notice – during the Christmas holidays, no less! – and performed a thorough inspection of the home. The home had been pre-​inspected by the seller, and even though a report already existed, Andy did due diligence and more. Andy Jordan is a fantastic home inspector. I had him inspect my new home in the 11^th month of my home builder warranty. Andy has incredible customer service and attention to detail. Andy is the best home inspector I have used here in the Austin Area. He is not only thorough, but really knows he stuff inside out. Most inspectors just try to give you a big scary report to make you feel they did their job, but not Andy. He will go through it and let you know what issues are actually big problems or easy fixes. In 2007 I purchased my first home. The home was a 1985 bungalow on the East side of Austin, TX. Neither the 1980s or the area are well known for high quality home construction. The excitement of owning my own home was balanced by a fear of possible unknowns that only an experienced inspector could bring to light.
Right away Mr Jordan went to work putting my fears at ease. He pointed out the positive things about the homes construction while noting the possible concerns. Electrical and plumbing checked out OK. Their electronic leveling tool shown one area that needed immediate attention and turned out to be project #1 after finalizing the purchase.
A few dozen elective projects and 5 years later and I’m still in the home. I haven’t had any major plumbing/​electrical/​mechanical/​foundation issues. The Austin Home Inspector is a consummate professional who knows his trades well. I highly recommend his work.
