Needed last minute cleaning service prior to group of unexpected guests and TexMaids pulled off an amazing job. They definitely went above and beyond a standard cleaning. The team that came to my house came later in the day given my need or an emergency clean and I felt they stayed and did an excellent job. I never once thought they rushed and cut corners to get out quickly. I highly recommend TexMaids!

I use TEXMAIDS and have for the past several years, sure as a new company when they started out they had some hiccups, but they have been great! I love the little extras they do, subtle touches, even down to folding the roll of toilet paper end into a triangle. kinda like a fancy hotel, and the different scents they can add to their cleaners, I chose lavender…
Another thing that stands out is I like how well they take care of my dog who is blind. The maids make sure she is ok, let her out an back in.
Coming home to a clean house on friday afternoon is such a nice feeling!

They have live chat that nobody every responds to. So if that is what you are looking for, then you should use them. A little annoyed

1ST time they cleaned… good job! But I was home watching. 2^nd time and 3^rd time they did the worst job ever!!! I even called in and said that I wanted to be home the next time they cleaned so I wanted to reschedule. They showed up anyway while I was gone and got the contractor to let them in. All they did was take out the trash leave and charge me for a full hour of cleaning when in fact they didn’t clean anything
My neighbors witnessed them sitting in the car for over 20 min playing on their phones. The cars they drive have GPS so they were at my house just not working but I was being charged for the service.
I called to speak to Skylar their MGR. he was rude and was of NO HELP. I will never use them again and HIGHLY recommend that no one else use their services either.

I live in an old 2 bedroom condo, so I tend to get a ton of dust… I called tex maids for a deep clean and they did an incredible job! I have used some maid services in the area and most just dust around your furniture. they moved everything around cleaned under it and put everything back in it’s place, cleaned the vents, walls, there was not a corner missed. i was very impressed. highly recommended!

I spoke to the owner (I’m assuming he was the owner — a guy named Skyler) at great length about estimating the amount of time they would need. It was a move-​in clean to a 2 bed, 1.5 bath apartment, and included steam-​cleaning the rug, so I was open to a longer-​than-​normal cleaning. Accordingly, I asked Skyler about capping things off at 5 hours — he assured me that there was no reason it would take longer than 4.5. I thanked him, and then reiterated that if it goes over 5 hours, I would like them to just stop cleaning.
I cannot stress enough how clearly I spelled it out. I even discussed anecdotes about other companies going well over their estimate (a bad experience with Capital Movers, namely). This was at least a 15 minute conversation.
Sure enough, they took 6 hours to clean a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment. And they didn’t even do that great of a job (I was impressed by the carpet, but otherwise it was a below-​average cleaning.)
I called and left a voicemail, asking for Skyler. My call was returned the next day by a girl who let me know that «The cleaners had accidentally forgotten to record the 30 minute break that they took, so we can refund that half hour.»
Terrible experience, which came off as total and complete dishonesty. Skyler didn’t even have the nerve to return my call.

Stephanie and Karina came to clean my apartment yesterday and I just wanted to tell you how impressed I am. They are true professionals, and made everything so easy for me! They didn’t need any direction to work around my clutter. I just left them the key, and when I came home my apartment was sparkling! There is not a speck of dust anywhere and EVERYTHING– my appliances, fixtures, floors, baseboards, walls, even the air vents– shine even MORE than when they were new! I LOVE TEXMAIDS!!!

To begin, I have never posted on Unilocal about a business… good or bad. TexMaids came to my home months ago and I’ve been sitting with this stressful experience on my mind. I support local companies and I don’t seek out discounts, though they can be nice. I was initially interested in TexMaids because I thought they would do a good job. I am now over $ 150 out of pocket for work that was simply unacceptable and with zero understanding or willingness to help directly from the owner, Skylur.
First off, they charge by the minute & I provided them with a priority list. They are only there for a certain amount of time, so I wanted my highest priorities completed. I never expected them to complete my list in the time ordered. That would take twice the time I could afford. In short, they didn’t start with my highest priorities, they went over my budgeted time (without asking me first!) & they marked multiple items as completely clean, though they were not. The upstairs floors were marked as vacuumed on THEIR checklist, but there were cheerios, raisins and broken crayons in high traffic areas. I heard the vacuums go off, so I know they attempted to clean, but they did not complete the job. They marked my baseboards upstairs as clean, but I found several sections that were left untouched. I even snapped a picture as proof that it was not cleaned. The 50 inch TV was actually more dirty than before they «cleaned» it. It had a film of the cleaning product they used to «clean» it. I had to completely re-​clean the TV. There were some areas that were still dusty and again marked as complete by the team. There were multiple reasons that I was not satisfied with the service, but ultimately: The cleaning team did not finish cleaning what they touched and marked as completed. I’m not the best cleaner or that detail-​oriented, but cheerios on the floor, incomplete baseboards, dusty furniture and a cloudy TV screen, is not acceptable… especially if a cleaning business marks it as completed. I didn’t ask the team to stay and fix the issues because I didn’t want to be charged for their time to re-​clean the areas they already touched, so I asked them to leave. I still tipped because that’s the way I was raised & I was confident that the folks running the business would assist me in the back end. I should not have assumed this just because it was something I would do… being in the service industry myself. I told the maids that I would not sign their form. Instead, I made a note indicating that they had indeed arrived for a cleaning service. I did not want to deny them of that. I should not even had done that because the owner took my note as a signature indicating I approved their cleaning job, which was not the case at all.
There is no doubt that I received some cleaning, but having to re-​clean multiple areas of what they marked as complete is not ideal or expected after a cleaning service has left your home. They charge by the minute & regardless of how slow, fast, detail-​oriented or awful the job is, you’re going to be charged by their time there. The incomplete cleaning job was not the worst of it. The customer service experience with the owner was one of the worst I have ever received.
Their websites states «100% Satisfaction Guaranteed». I am, at best, 50% satisfied with the service & 0% satisfied with the customer service provided by the very owner. I understand they may have a great rating, but this does not make them immune to ever providing a bad/​incomplete service. They did so with me. When I emailed the owner, Skylur, about my dissatisfaction and even provided him with a picture as proof that an area was untouched even though it was marked as clean, he mentioned that the maids that cleaned my home were «a senior team. They are detail focused and highly efficient». It was as if he didn’t believe me. I felt attacked & betrayed as a consumer. After weeks of many emails, he finally came around to offer a re-​do. Unfortunately, I contacted my credit card company for a refund by then. I’ve since taken them up on their offer, but I’ve yet to hear back from TexMaids to set this up. My experience with TexMaids left me feeling upset, stressed, attacked and I hope no other client goes through what I have. Unilocal only reaches a fraction of the people that need to know this story, which is why I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. TexMaids needs to be humbled, practice being «detail-​oriented» and work on customer service.
credit card outcome: I contacted my card company because of how unsatisfied I was & the fact that TexMaids did not complete the job they said they did on their OWN internal completion form. It’s under review, but according to my credit card company, because TexMaids charges by the time & not necessarily the quality of cleaning, they may not be liable. Wow. In the future, I’ll be contacting a cleaning company that charges by the quality work done and not by the time spent pushing cheerios around.

I read the reviews, and despite the many reviews stating that they took much longer than their original estimate and charge by the hour, I decided to give them a shot.
Well, let’s just say I’m pretty disappointed. I’ll break it down:
1. They quoted 3 – 4 hours to do an entire cleaning of our empty house, including steam cleaning. From the reviews I read, it seems like they tend to under-​estimate their cleaning time, which is really difficult to budget for. They ended up taking 9 hours. After 6 hours, we told them to stop because we couldn’t afford any more, but they said they’d finish without charging us beyond that time. That’s what got them the 2 stars. Other than that, they have NO fire under them to get stuff done. I came in 4 hours after they started and they only had one bedroom and one bathroom done out of a ³⁄₂. They did not clean the windows, either.
2. Simple things, like cleaning the microwave (which is a built-​in) and the stove top weren’t done completely. I will have to go back in and clean those myself. These were easy things they missed, too, and could have easily done.
3. They put a TON of cleaner in the oven and did not wipe it out. I am going to have to go back and wipe out all of the white film out of the oven.
4. They dripped cleaner all over the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom which I’m going to have to wipe out myself.
Several hundreds of dollars later, I can’t say I’m super satisfied. I do know now that I will NEVER hire cleaners for an hourly charge again, because it doesn’t seem to motivate them to do things very quickly. I just hope they learn to over-​estimate the time they’ll need in the future so these sorts of disappointments don’t happen again.

The cleaning itself was AMAZING, but it was a huge hassle.
The bottom line is they were late twice, had to reschedule twice (because of their mistakes), and it took 3 hours longer to finish the job than the original quote. If you want the whole disappointing story, keep reading.
The breakdown:
2000 sq ft house. 2 bed, 2 ½ bath, full kitchen, living room, study, stairs. We are not the cleanest people, but we’re not the worst either.
I scheduled a deep clean for Saturday before in-​laws came in town. They gave me a 3 hour window arrival time and said they would call 30 min before arrival. At 5pm, I called them and found out they were running very late and was asked to reschedule for the next day. They were apologetic and told me between 2 – 330 on Sunday. At 330 on Sunday I called them again. I was told this time there was a miscommunication and my window was between 2 – 5. At 5 there was still no call, so I called them again. They showed up 30 minutes late. Keep in mind this is Sunday night.
The cleaning was amazing!!! The ladies were so nice and professional– the only reason they are getting 3 stars, not 2. They worked until 11PM!!! On a SUNDAY!!! I felt so badly for them– and the worst part was that they were not finished. They had to reschedule to finish the next day. They told me I would get a phone call to let me know what time.
Guess who made the first call again? Yes, I finally called around 2pm because I couldn’t wait any longer. I was told they couldn’t come until after 5pm again. My in-​laws were in town, and I told them that night was not going to work. I rescheduled for the next day. I was given a 5% discount.
At least they were on time and actually called me on Tuesday. The rest of the cleaning went very well. Both crews did an excellent job cleaning– the blinds have never looked so good! It is just too bad that their scheduling and communication was so horrible. I have no idea how much it cost, either, as it was a gift from my brother. I hope he didn’t have to pay too much, especially since their original work estimate was 4 hours and it ended up being more than 7.

I have had their service on more than 1 occasion they are really up to the task and at times even do your dishes (which was awesome as i never expected them to).

I used this company for a move-​out. The quality of work was excellent, but I had several problems. The women who showed up to clean were late, and did not call until after they were already supposed to be at my apartment. It turns out that the lady who took down my address recorded it incorrectly. She also gave me a quote that my 2 bed/​1 bath empty apartment (which I lived in for only a couple of months) could be cleaned in no more that 3.5 hours. It ended up taking over 5 hours, so, at a rate of $ 69/​hr, this cost me about $ 140 more than I expected to pay. The ladies broke one of the blinds on the sliding glass door and broke a light bulb. They repaired the blind, but left the lightbulb dangling from the socket.
When the owner called to tell me about the bill, he at first insisted that I was wrong about the time estimate I received, but, after looking it up, he agreed that I was being truthful about the estimate. He then offered to «make it right» by giving me $ 69 off IF I would give him a 5-​star review on Unilocal because he wanted to preserve his 5 star rating. So he expected me to pay $ 70 more than the highest estimate I was given and give the company a 5-​star review. I told him I would pay the bill reduced by $ 69, and he tried to keep me on the phone until I would agree to give him a 5-​star review. I did not agree.
Their cleaning was thorough – they did things like take the light fixtures down, wash them, and dust the lightbulbs. They cleaned each individual blind, and got stains off of the oven that were there when I moved in and seemed permanent. It was seriously the cleanest I had ever seen the apartment. If you are looking for an obsessive-​compulsive level of clean and money is no object, then these are great folks to call.
Although the quality of work was generally excellent, the overall experience was very stressful, and I can’t support a company that tries to blackmail people into giving good reviews.

I was impressed by the reviews, so I gave them a call to setup some cleaning. We were having a party at the house and so, decided to hire the cleaning out.
I was a little disappointed frankly. They may offer ‘Deep Cleaning’ as a SM (service mark), but I felt the actual quality fell short of that, especially when the cost is factored in. We paid over $ 200 to clean an already fairly clean downstairs; we only had them clean downstairs. I was quoted around 2 hours on the phone. The actual was closer to three which is 50% over the quote.
The cleaning was good, but not to the level I expected given the details and pitch I was given on the phone conversation to schedule. They missed dusting, dog hair under chairs (clearly visible and easily accessible), cob webs in two exterior door jams, a 2 foot area on the floor that was still sticky. They cleaned the oven and microwave very well, dusted the fans very well. Unfortunately, they left all the windows closed while they ran the oven clean mode which left the house smelling foul and caustic.
.not a job worth $ 200. :-(

I got a deep clean/​steam clean done to my 635 sq ft, 1bed1bath apartment upon moveout. I was told by the first two places I tried that they didn’t do next day service, so I was happy to be told it would be no problem to come by the next morning.
The two ladies that came over were on time, friendly and did a great job. I told them the important things I wanted done, since I was on a budget and didn’t want the complete «deep clean», and they left the (still unpacked, my bad) kitchen cabinets and the inside of the stove to me. I wish now that I had told them to do everything since I am exhausted from moving.
It took 2 hours & 40 minutes total, and while compared to other estimates that seemed longer than necessary, when I contacted the company about it they were very helpful, went over the services provided and assured me that for the level of attention that was a reasonable amount of time. If only my apartment had been that clean while I lived there…

I found Tex Maids while feverishly searching for a home cleaning service at midnight on the night before my move. The next morning, I called them at 7:30am to ask if they had any same-​day availability to do a move-​out clean. Skylur was friendly and very accommodating about squeezing my move in on a busy day. He even called a few hours later to tell me they’d had a cancellation and offered to come right away (alas, the movers had just arrived, so we had to stick with our original time).
Skylur arrived with a partner to clean our 2-​bedroom home with a 1-​bath guesthouse, and they were both so incredibly polite about working around our move, which ended up taking way longer than we anticipated and thus required Tex Maids to work around the tail end of our packing.
When they arrived, Skylur also talked to me about my expectations and clarified what I wanted them to focus on while they were there. They did exactly what we talked about and left the house looking cleaner than it was when we moved in – it honestly made me sort of sorry we had to leave!
Their rates were very reasonable for such an extensive area to clean on such short notice, and they were courteous, professional, and did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend them for move-​out cleans (and I’d expect their service is the same for any kind of clean). When you hit that inevitable moment during any move when you realize that, holy shit, you have way more stuff to do than you thought you did, an honest and professional cleaning service is nothing short of a godsend. Tex Maids truly saved the day.
