Not your average taqueria! Had the carne guisada. Mild subtle flavor that sneaks up on you. Also had a taco I had never heard of before «suadero». Liked it so much I had two!

I went last Thursday and ordered a Torta. They have different Tortas. Cannot spell the name of the (Torta (hogados)but it is soaked in delicous sauce. The Bread and sauce was very good but the meat was very dry and very little. It is very authenic because this Torta is very common in Guadalajara Jalisco. I plan to try again and hope that the meat will not be dry and burnt and that they will add more meat. The Cashier/​Waitress very helpful and professional. I got lost looking for the bathroom and opened the door to the kitchen by mistake. I was happy to see it was very clean

This place changed my life. It’s notable mediocrity shocked me into submission. We got 3 items; A burrito, a cuban sandwhich, and some refried beans. All 3 items were just plain mediocre. On the bad side of mediocre to be exact. Would rather get the 99 cent tacos at the Jack in the Box across the street. Would NOT reccomend.

Definitely a place for locals, decorated to the hilt for Christmas. No English speakers on staff that I noticed, but good smiles.
BF and I ordered a Mixed Parrillada Plate and it was fine. Tasty, but the meat and chicken was cut into very very tiny pieces. I also find it annoying when the tails are left on the shrimp, especially when the shrimp are small (and they were).
Reddish salsa good, green mediocre.
Wondering if their breakfasts are good…

This place has nothing but nasty Food!!! I ordered tacos and it was nothing but fat. My husband ordered pozole which had raw pork meat in it!!! Someone needs to shut this place down Never coming here again!!! Waste of my money!!!

Two types of salsas… brown orange has a kick. the red one is calm. So chips and salsa are a hit. Now waiting for the food. The food came out and I was like dang. it was pretty bad. we got up and left.

I can’t speak any Spanish but managed (with help from another customer) to place my order. The tacos are amazing and FRESH homemade tortillas. The prices are reasonable and for a food truck the best customer service yet! Don’t be afraid of the location, the food is rocking!

Really good food in a really shady looking place. The entire staff spoke only Spanish so its about as realas you can get.

What this place lacks in ambience, it totally makes up for in food.
I am a huge fan of Carne Guisada, and typically order it any place that I find it on the menu, but since moving to Austin I’ve been underwhelmed with the Guisada iIve found… until the magical afternoon I had it here. It was absolutely perfect.
My boyfriend had a crispy taco plate, and their homemade taco shells were also perfection… especially when paired with fresh avocado slices.
The prices are spot on for the amount of food if not on the cheap side.
I want to go back now.

Cali style tacos. The best! Everyone who has been to Cali and tried tacos there knows damn well they serve the best tacos outside of Mexico City.

All this and all at a very cheap price! This place is not gonna make the local paper reviews or attract a «chic» crowd. Its not gonna have a DJ playing the coolest music or have a fresh new approach to a taqueria… it simply serves its purpose very well, and that is to serve a quality taco each and everytime. If you want to skip the tex-​mex fajita taco and try a real taco, go to las chivas!

Ate here just an hour ago and it was great. It’s somewhere I’ll go in Austin when I’m missing the L.A. style mexican food. A very family feel to it, friendly service, HUGE plates and cheap as it comes. My friend got the Chile Relleno and it came with TWO huge Rellenos. I’ll try the house made horchata next time.

I have had better, but there are a couple things that will likely bring me back… if I can brush up on my spanish a bit more.
I went the other day with a friend, after helping him move a player piano into his house. That = free lunch! w00t!
Also, I met a monkey who liked donuts, but that’s another story.
So the place isn’t much to look at. It’s pretty standard taqueria-​looking.
The chips were very tasty, not too greasy, and served with a trio of brilliant salsas with some addictive heat. Make sure they give you the creamy green salsa. It’s the best.
My friend got a taco and a torta. Being from El Paso, he has a pretty hight standard of both. The torta didn’t have beans on it, so I’ll keep having to search for that style of torta here in town. The meat on his taco was a little dry, and not too well flavored.
I got the Molé enchiladas. Can’t tell you if that’s a Jalisco-​style dish, really, but it sure didn’t taste like any molé I’ve ever had. It’s not that it was bad. It just didn’t taste like molé. Still, it was served with tasty beans and rice, had tons of stringy cheese, and garnished with lettuce, tomatoes, avocados and some lime.
So, I’ll give it another shot and get something else. The creamy salsa and chips are currently the saving grace for the moment.

This place has all the makings of a great Taqueria.
Good, fresh, non-​greasy ingredients. They even included limes and homemade salsas in my to-​go bag. I’ve been looking for a place like this since I started traveling to Austin.

Good taqueria checklist:
Futbol on the TV — check.
All Spanish speaking staff — check.
Homemade tortillas — check.
Tasty inexpensive food — check.
I ordered a Taco Al Pastor ($ 1.75) and Huevos Racheros ($ 3.25). The al pastor was spot on — good stuff. The huevos plate was your basic eggs, potatoes, beans and ranchero sauce. Good utility food. Bacon could have made it a top 5 contender.
