I only have great things to say about Take Heart! I found a print I just loved on Instagram and contacted them to buy it. They were very prompt with their response and then were able to ship me the wall art print all the way to Ohio… from Texas! Talk about customer service! I wish they were in the area so I could shop here regularly! All I can hope for is that they open up an online store soon! I highly recommend this place and the customer service that comes along with it!

Nice combination of local and imported products! You can definitely see that there was a lot of thought given to the content curation of the store. But while there’s a variety of great products, the prices aren’t justified, in my opinion. Candles, bowls, utensils, notebooks, stationary… Lots of interesting things for you to window-shop. But spending $ 40 on a small ceramic bowl? Not an everyday purchase for sure. Parking can be a bit difficult since there’s only a couple of spaces next to the store that’s for the customers. Otherwise, it’s street-parking where you can find it.

Take Heart is an adorable store with thoughtfully selected finds. They carry woodwork, pottery and jewelry from local artists. My favorite pieces however are their beautiful Japanese pottery. They carry beautiful cards, quality body products an so much more. Melinda who works there part time is an absolutely joy to chat with. She is one of those people that after having a conversation with you feel like you are in a better place. She showed me some of her favorite products an I ended up purchasing a card for a dear friend and a book written by Marie Kondo on the Japanese art of decluttering and organizing. There are several restaurants, boutiques and food trailers within a block or two. I recommend spending a couple hours exploring this part of east Austin.

I feel like she really earns all 5 stars because I went past here with a friend a week ago after another person told me to check it out. I was in a hurry and will go back when I can actually buy something and spend more time there. It is a wonderful set up. Very clean. WONDERFUL gifts! I wish this business major success and following!

I was visting Austin a month ago and stumbled upon this shop and I was so glad I did. It is a gem of a place. There are so many wonderful things to buy, look at, gift people. I could have spent an hour in there. So special and wonderful, I hope to go back someday.

Wow! A truly special gem of a store. The kind of place that invites you to slow down, pick up and examine almost every single thing. Nina has a wonderful eye for handmade items with integrity. After three visits to Austin, we finally made tracks over there and will be spreading the good word to our friends back in Dallas.

Hands down one of the best shops in Austin! Outstanding jewelry, stationary plus amazing smelling perfumes, oils, soaps all unique and in cute packaging. I found a purse there that is now one of my favorite accessories. Shop owner Nina always takes time to talk and engage-adorable!

Hello expensive gift store. It’s «unique“ish. It has some«cute» $ 54 stuffed toys. It’s on the East side. That’s cool. Right? I didn’t buy anything, but if you have the money and want to, by all means you should! It definitely smells nice and is a relaxing shopping experience. I think as long as whatever you buy comes with a card that has the name and location on it, someone might appreciate the experience you had while shopping for it.

A really lovely spot. Nina, who I believe is the owner, was so kind. I told her I found out about Take Heart after searching«stationary,» and she was elated to hear it! I, too, was quite glad to find out about this spot. I stopped by to purchase a card(the selection is great), but I spent about 10 – 15 minutes looking through the store. Like others have already stated, this is a great choice to find a present, card, craft, décor, etc. Highly recommend! There’s a lot of Japanese items as well, so it’s worth the look if that’s what you’re seeking. I will return when I’m looking for something a more unique! P. S. There’s a small parking lot right next to Take Heart, but there’s plenty of street parking in the area.

Sweet, thoughtful, unique little shop. I’ve bought gifts for friends like jewelry, pottery, baby gifts and cards and gifts for my little ol’ self like a lamp made from a tree branch and a handmade wood vase. It smells good, it feels special and is well-curated.

I absolutely adore this store. I like to take walks from East Austin to Downtown and every time I like to come check out the store. Even if you’ve been 10 times, there is always something you have missed! Everyone who works here is helpful and so sweet. Also they have really cute *free* pins at the counter that you can take that say«take heart» on them. Any time you need a gift, a card, a baby present, home décor, or just want to look at some local artists’ crafts, stop by take heart. The environment is also super calming and relaxing.

One of the best gift shops I’ve seen in my life. From the outside, noticing the store items on wooden shelves through the big glass windows already catches my eye. Walking into the store, I was stunned by all the unique gifts. From Japanese scented candles, to tree log plant pots, to beautiful gift cards, Take Heart will leave you wanting everything in the store. In the words of Harry Potter on the Hogwarts Express«We’ll take the lot!»

I take myself shopping at Take Heart more than any other gift shop in town. Why? Well, yes, it’s handy that it’s in my neighborhood, and close to some of my favorite brunch spots — but it’s more than that, really. Every single time I go in, I feel calm, serene and am always pleased to find something I want to buy — a card for someone I love, a book, some incense, a japanese vase. I buy gifts for myself here when I feel blue, I buy birthday presents here, and even useful things, like a baggu llama foldable tote, or a little jar of matches! I don’t think I’ve ever come in and not bought something! Plus, the owner Nina is so sweet — and she has a very nice mom who works there on some days, and the sweetest little doggie! I love Willie! I heart Take Heart — to the max!

This is truly a little treasure on on the east side. I discovered this little store whilst(yeah, I went there) walking off the BBQ hangover I accumulated at Franklin’s down the street. I love her card selection, sweet packaged gifts, and little odds and ends. The owner is also delightful. I’m looking forward to going back to see how her collection has evolved!

This is the third time I have been into Take Heart. Each time I go in there I find something just right. Dolls for my little nieces, essential oil air-freshener for a sick relative, and beautiful greeting cards. The store has a minimal aesthetic that appeals to me and it always smells so good in there.

Fantastic place to find that«special something» gift if you know people who are hard to buy for!!! It seems like Take Heart is a gift shop with local, handmade items that have a Japanese twist. In here you can find hand-sewn dolls, candles, unusual ceramics and vases along with other decorative items. They also have a few gift books and a beautiful selection of gift cards. Prices are also reasonable for the quality. This is definitely a place to keep in mind if you want something unusual and beautiful.

…Attention to detail. …Cute things in small packages. …all things Japanese. If you like or love any of these things, then Take Heart is for you. For many months I walked by this store, noting its existence, but not actually taking the time to go inside. I was always on my way to yoga(East Side Yoga) or from brunch(Blue Dahlia), or just driving by, but last week I went inside. And I am so glad I did! I wasn’t looking for anything in particular but I liked almost everything they had — hearts, paper stars, stationery, jewelry, dishes, and much more. Basically this store is full of gifts — for you or someone else. Do I need any of these things? Nope. Do I want them all? Yes.
