The food and almost all the servers are super good, but some of them are really careless. But definitely you should eat here :)

The San Antonio roll is expensive and does not have any flavor. I will never come back again.

Cool atmosphere. Great sushi. A million creative rolls and fusion twists to choose from. Awesome sake and cocktail selection. Great happy hour and that special joy sauce! What more could you ask for? Oh a great place to enjoy sushi that you can bring your non sushi loving friends and they can find good things on the menu to enjoy as well? Yup they’ve got that too! My favorite sushi place in the Austin area.

It’s weird, but there is such a thing as Mexican style Sushi, and even when I’m sure the Sushi Zushi people would deny they are such thing, I can tell my fellow Mexicans, THIS is the spot for your sushi needs!
Serrano Chile in soy sauce, rollos empanizados, the mixed fried rice is sticky and delicious just like you remember!!! Yummers!
They do have a delicious japanese japanese food and variety, but they also indulge us with those twists that we crave.
Their happy hours are great too, a small menu with great options, try edemames, and dumplings!!!

Service here is very bad. We’ve been sitting here for almost half an hour but nobody come here to ask us if we need something to drink. We have to stop a waiter and ask for it. They prepare food very slow. Hope they could improve their service in future.

Ryan has been such a gentleman. I came in after a busy day for a quick bite and I can’t be more thankful to have such awesome service. He really made my experience 100% worth it. He completely sold me with upgrades on my tuna tower, which I had no idea was even possible to make that dish any better. The Zipang mimosa is the bomb, must try. Thank you Ryan for everything. You not only brightened my day but you made my dining experience here the best ever. #foodtherapist

I have struggled to find a great sushi place. I have not found my favorite in Austin yet. This place is nice, nice staff, but I didn’t like what I had. It tastes so bland. I have had better. The prices is not too bad.

Came here for the first time and wasn’t expecting to much. The sushi was actually pretty delicious I ordered the rainbow roll, Austin roll, and pepper tuna roll. They were all delicious. Only problem I had with this place was the service, very slow! I will more than likely return because it was good sushi and hope for better service next time that is quicker

I’ve had better and I’m not afraid to say it. Sure they’ve got good portions but as far as freshness and quality they are lacking. The O-​Toro was not fresh, an odd color, and was very disappointing. I think that if you’ve had real sushi rice, the texture at Sushi Zushi won’t live up to that standard. I expect more because of the location, the Domain is supposed to boast some of the best. We had a very mediocre dinner, and I would not recommend this for someone looking for fresh sushi. Perhaps if you wanted to drop in for happy hour and order Sake with the HH rolls it would be worth it. I wouldn’t come here for the stand alone sushi.

To go: Placed my order online. It said it would be ready in 30 – 45 minutes, and I assumed my salmon sashimi would be refrigerated until I got there, so I didn’t rush. Arrived an hour after ordering. Big mistake. My bag was sitting on the counter when I walked in. I should have checked it before I left. It was gray when I got it home, 15 minutes later. Instead of risking food poisoning, I tossed it.
Dining in has always been great, but place orders when you get there, don’t place them online or over the phone.

I have been to Sushi Zushi a few times and its one of my favorites in the Domain. I usually go with a group for their happy hour which is a fantastic deal. Beautiful and tasty $ 5 cocktails and a bunch of great appetizers for under $ 5. The Sea Garden Squid (seaweed salad with squid) is delicious and the Gyoza are great. The Crawfish Dynamite, has fresh crawfish but comes in a big bowl of something similar to mayo, so it isn’t my favorite. I’m looking forward to trying out their full price sushi rolls soon!
It has a huge menu so everyone will be able to find something they like. The service can be iffy depending on your server. I’ve had some great servers and some who looked like they would rather be at home, but I’ve never had any issues with the food. They can get a little busy, so I recommend snagging a reservation off open table to be safe.

I do love coming to this location. but I would like to make one suggestion. This restaurant is not very kid friendly. I have two kids, so a lot of where I go is based on if they offer a children’s menu or if they can share with me. My daughter is a big fan of sushi, so I wish this restaurant offered a children’s menu with noodles, rice, chicken, and sushi. I think it would be a success. But then again that is just my personal opinion ;) regardless we still will show up I just wish they could offer small portions of sushi for kiddos.

This place has really good sushi at standard prices. The spicy edamame is really good and we get it almost every time. I also really like the seaweed salad and the house salad. I usually get unagi or spicy tuna rolls. They also have Crawfish rolls which is great for my boyfriend and he can’t easy shellfish but can eat Crawfish. I don’t think I have ever gotten non sushi but their main menu looks pretty good too. I have also had good alcoholic drinks and hot tea.
The ambiance is nice but they tend to keep it very cold just a warning in case you tend to need a jacket inside a lot. The patio is nice when weather is good. The service tends to be pretty good but sometimes it can be a little slow. There doesn’t tend to ever be much of a wait and when there is it goes pretty fast.

Very clean, nice, inviting environment. Staff is always positive and smiling. Love it! Great happy hour!
I come here so much and have gotten to know the staff. Management does a great job of making rounds on tables and ensuring their employees are giving the customers exactly what they want. I look forward to coming here every week! Love you all!

Wow, happy hour here is a DEAL. We had 2 drinks, 3 apps, and 5 rolls for less than $ 50 before tip.
Our server was fantastic (hi Keith!). He really knew the menu and spoke about it in a way that convinced me he’d actually eaten the food. He was also super friendly and attentive and didn’t mind that our toddler was occasionally quite loud. Service alone gets 5 stars.
Now, the food. Gyoza is good. A little on the fried & greasy side, but still tasty. The mussels dynamite were amaaaazing (Keith’s rec). Do yourself a favor and try those. The spicy salmon and philly rolls were fairly standard but the fish was fresh and you can’t beat the HH pricing. The spicy scallop roll is deeeeelish and the LIR roll is fresh and scrumptious. The spider roll is also fairly standard but quite good.
I had a yuzu-​basil mojito and Keith (being the rockstar he is) asked the bartender to go light on the simple syrup for me since I’d been asking him for a cocktail that was not very sweet. It was tasty for sure, although not particularly strong. Worth it for $ 5 though.
Only little hiccup was that one of our orders of gyoza got lost in the kitchen shuffle, but a manager had them fire an order for us immediately when he figured it out.
I’d definitely return the next time I’m in Austin.

Stopped in for lunch today. I liked it. I like the layout. The waiter was cool also. Overall, this is a good restaurant.
I had the Alaskan roll. It was good.
However, the next time Southern Thread has a sale (that’s the reason I’m at The Domain) I’ll hit Kona. I’m not knocking SZ, however, my son and I just favor Kona.

The good: This place really blew me away. Since its a small chain I was expecting the «usual» sushi restaurant but got some very Austin-​ish small restaurant dishes. They had so many choices. I ended up going with what our waiter suggested, the strawberry roll and bora bora roll. Also had double order of the spicy edamame, a must try!
The bad: I’ll make sure to ask them to cut the sushi into smaller pieces next time. Each bite was way too big.
Over all a great experience! Can’t wait to go back.

Sushi Zushi is, hands down, my favorite sushi happy hour spot. I’m not crazy about their entire happy hour menu, but I think it’s safe to say that I’m completely addicted to their spicy salmon roll. Perfectly seasoned rice, big chunks of salmon, spicy mayo (I also add Sriracha to give it more kick… okay, okay, I’m just addicted to Sriracha. period.), and green onions… so. stinkin. guuuddd. That, along with whatever delicious sauce it is that they keep out next to the soy sauce, is what keeps me coming back… sometimes a little too often. Oh, and the free edamame that comes with the Unilocal check-​in is pretty cool. Aaand if I’m in a boozy mood, their Strawberry Gingertini is just sooo perfectly refreshing. Actually, come to think of it… I have ten free dollars to spend on their Sushi Miles program… I might have a happy hour calling my name today.
Edit: 11÷21÷14 Tried the 5^th Street location for the first time yesterday evening. I’ll stick to the Domain from now on; Domain gives you nearly twice as much fish in the spicy salmon roll.
