Selling Your Stuff:
I went in about 4 weeks ago with a big bin of stuff, and came out with $ 60.00 cash. They didn’t really explain which four items were selected, or why. But by looking around, I could tell it was name brand, business type stuff for the classy – yet thrifty – lady. This seems like Plato’s Closet’s older sister to me. The process took about 2 hours on a weekday around the holidays, so I’d drop off and do something else and then they can call you.
Buying Your Stuff:
I went in today for the grand opening, when they were both buying and selling. They have tons of Coach purses, Kendra Scott jewelry (previous seasons), Loft and Ann Taylor jackets and shirts, Oscar de la Renta ball gowns (!), etc. And they had tons of shoes in mint condition. In fact, I would say that about 25% of the things in there still had the original tags on them.
I was mainly there to sell baby stuff at the Pumpkin Patch next door, and there was a short wait as they evaluated the items. These two stores definitely complement each other, so I definitely recommend that you check out both. You can drop off at one, and go to the other while you wait, and vice versa.

I was directed to this location to sell clothes after visiting the Plato’s Closet in South Austin. I had a few items Plato’s declined, but was told that their new ‘sister store, Style Encore” would be interested in some of the items I had.
I found it (next to the teacher’s store, the sign was somewhat obscured) and headed in. It’s their first day being open so not too much merchandise was available for purchase yet. I believe they are still buying. They went through my things quickly, only 30 minutes. I had a few dresses and tops and the only thing they bought was a Loft sweater that still had a tag on it. Not sure if they are just buying new clothes, but that was my impression. I was not told why they chose the sweater and why they declined on other items. Overall fast, and the location was pretty convenient.
