Steve has saved me on more that one occasion: once when I blew a radiator hose and was unable to drive my car to a shop, and when my brakes were so bad that I didn’t want to drive. In both cases, Steve was more than just a mobile mechanic. He was a lifesaver and fixed my car as good as it would have been in a garage. Plus, I didn’t have to leave my apartment or worry how I was going to get back and forth while it was getting fixed. Great job, Steve. I owe you two.

Steve helped us fix a simple (maybe) problem that I didn’t have time to get to. He was prompt, responsive and charged us a very reasonable to fee to replace the battery cable on our Mazda. I would definitely use Steve again!

Made a call based on the reviews. Steve answered the phone and I explained my issue with my vehicle. He came out within an hour or so and jumped right in and found a loose wire on the alternator. I gladly paid him for his time and could not be happier with his service and demeanor. He will definitely be my mechanic again in the future. Steve has helped me out several times. Most recently I got a little too close to a highway construction barrel and snapped my mirror off. Steve was able to meet me on his way to another job about 15 min later to zip-​tie my mirror in place temporarily and see what parts he needed to order. He stopped by my office over lunch the next day and fixed my mirror… all for about half what the shop would have charged me.

as a musician with more time then money i tend to attempt my own car repairs. I hit a wall of sorts after an extensive list of difficult repairs and called steve on a recommendation. he was able to make room for me that day and i didn’t have to stop working for a second (I had a lot going on at once with the vehicle– half completed projects everywhere). he had the right tools (in this case a welder) and know-​how to pick up where I left off.
he was awesome at answering my questions and giving advice with no attitude; he was gracious and forth-​coming with all his hard-​earned knowledge. steve was fully understanding of my meager budget and was extremely efficient and to-​the-​point helping me to maximize the little time I could afford with him; wish i could have kept him around longer; in such a short time he demystified so many aspects of what I was working on; also instilling the confidence I needed to keep at it.
his rate for a traveling mechanic is more then reasonable; its better then any shop i know of. best money I have spent in awhile. i started a Unilocal account because im inspired to put in a good word for steve. he’s awesome. I almost cant wait until my car breaks again!

Hello just that alone is enough.
I’ve taken my jeep in about 8 times since I’ve been driving it for two years. It’s my BFs vehicle. We change the oil and easy little things you know. Well anyways NOT one person told us about the universal joint until Scott came along.
I’ve never felt the jeep drive so safe before. Never new it was supposed to feel this way.

Nice guy, I had ran over a curb and needed a new oil pan/​gasket installed — not too complicated but harder/​more time consuming than you think! He came over the next day on time and finished the job pretty quickly, good price.

My car wouldn’t start and with a quick call to Steve I had the whole shop at my door. The problem was diagnosed and repaired quickly and the price was really fair. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Steve to anyone with car issues or who who wants to get regular maintenance done by someone who will shoot straight about what is wrong. And I love that you don’t have to leave your house to have it done.

If you want a competent, knowledgeable, capable, reliable (and honest) mechanic– Steve is the one. If you want to know what the issue is with your vehicle, without feeling like you are being fed a line– Steve is the one. If you want a great price for quality work– you get the idea.

Sorry dude, admittedly there’s very little to write on. Your website espouses being efficient with time. Your hours say 8 – 6 so I called after 8 pm. You know, because my car dying doesn’t respect hours. Pleasant voice mail asking for a message…
…and your voicemail is full. That’s the very first sin of customer service. If you’re too busy to clean out your voicemail you’re clearly not time efficient and you don’t care about business.

I normally don’t take the time to post reviews on Unilocal unless I am totally happy with my goods/​service. Steve just fixed the starter in my Civic. Steve was quick, and best part was the price. He met me to get my key since my car was about a mile away. I didn’t have to pay $ 75 for a tow truck to get my car to a shop. Mobile car repair is genius and Steve was awesome. Nice, reliable, and honest. Thanks again Steve.

Steve’s Mobile Austin is a great find! Steve is professional, honest, and knows his business. He worked on my vehicle on several occasions. Each time, he did the job quickly, perfect;y, and for less than a garage that had given me the price. Even better than that, he came to my house or office to take care of it, which saved me time and stress.
For example, today he worked on my wife’s Mercedes. A shop told her it would cost $ 700 to replace her thermostat. I called Steve. He was at my house first thing this morning and did a great job. The cost was well under $ 400.
