I found Space Chimp in August 2013 via a Google Adwords campaign they were running.
Charles, the owner, got back to me very quickly with a thorough proposal to redesign our website. Unlike, what I read in a review below, these guys were «quick.»
I did have a solid idea of what design concept I wanted for the site with our very specific needs in an easy to use document. (I encourage anyone redoing a website to do this — otherwise there is tons of time wasted on back and forth.) Space Chimp provided a good designer/​developer that knew wordpress well and was very fast in his development. Anything that he did not know how to do he let me know. Communication was good from start to finish.
Our site is spiabroad (com) if you want to see the work they did for my company SPI High School Study Abroad programs.
They finished our site redesign in a very timely manner and have been very easy to work with since. They gave us a dedicated account manager which has been very helpful to get the periodic updates and tweaks to the site done. This past weekend our website went down due to a server hosting issue (not related to Space Chimp) and the guys came to our rescue all day long on a weekend. I was very impressed.
Listen, most web people are not always the best at communication. These guys actually are. I highly recommend them for many years, but above all they simply do good work that follows all the current and up to date trends in web design and online marketing.

Their graphic design is decent. However they are minimalists, i.e. they try to get away with doing as little as possible. For example if you aren’t happy with part of the design, instead of improving it they give you resistance and are not shy about asking for more money. We also lost about 80% of our traffic after their redesign, the very next day. In other words it was not due to a Google algorithm change.
It’s not as if they have no talent, but they are much more focused on themselves than clients.
I’m pretty sure they’ll have some rebuttal that blames us rather than contacting us and trying to fix anything.

This review isn’t based on any service I received, but the lack therof. I was browsing their site and used the chat feature to say «Hey. I need a complete overhaul for my website…» Response was we will check it out and get back to you. Fair enough. I love this instant contact thing.
After 24 hours, no communication, not even a generic email saying hello.
I get it People are busy. So I call. I’m told after 12 seconds on the phone that Charles will call me back after hes out of a meeting ending in A FEW MINUTES. Alright, cool. Until he never did.
Bummer.
