Shuck Shack’s First Annual Halloween Pet Costume Contest

We had a blast today at Shuck Shack’s First Annual Halloween Pet Costume Contest thanks in a large part to Rick G. showing up and surprising us! And we were not the only ones that benefited from Rick G.‘s attendance: he ordered more food and drinks for me than I would have with a portion of the sales going to Emancipet, He purchased a bunch of raffle tickets and handed them out to strangers (all the strangers and our new friend Riki M. and her Pup Marcel won some really great prizes).
The whole shindig was to benefit Emancipet
with a portion of the sales plus all the raffle and dog biscuit sales going to them. From the looks of the crowd and all the raffle tickets sold it was a success. The raffle prizes were really great and numerous (40) — 4 50.00 gift certificates to Academy, numerous gift certificates to Shuck Shack and the Cedar Door, numerous great gift baskets packed with wine and other stuff that would be good for a picnic. Lucky Riki M. won both a gift basket and an Academy gift Certificate! The photographer was awesome and took a ton of free pictures that will be posted on their website tomorrow for free down load. Everyone involved in the event was super awesome and friendly! We can’t wait till next year and I am already thinking of our costumes!
