We’re happy to work with your budget and be as flexible as possible to ensure you have an incredibly fun time while being safe and all for a very affordable price!

History

Established in 2010.

I started this business as a freshmen in college, seeing a need for University of Texas students to travel safely between campus and 6th Street. Since then, our customer base has exploded, making us the most recognized and original service for shuttle trips from around Austin to Downtown, and expanding into event services, especially bachelor and bachelorette parties. We now cater to birthdays, weddings, brewery/​winery tours, BBQ tours, sight seeing, float trips, concerts, and of course the basic shuttle service downtown!

I’m Designated Doug and I bought a bus as a senior in high school in 2010. And I’ve always just been the guy who loves to share experiences and make memories with people! I’m also the guy who always drives, no matter with whom or where. And I have a passion for good service, I always have, and that’s why I’m not expanding this business or hiring anyone else to drive except myself. If you want something done right, do it yourself right? Well I want things done the best, and I want my customers to have the most incredible time while experiencing all that the incredible city of Austin has to offer. Ever since I started serving the local Texas Longhorn community with safe rides, I knew this was the best and coolest job I’d ever have, and I still love it to this day!

Short Bus Chauffeur is definitely a service I would recommend to anyone looking for a party bus service whether they are going downtown, Rainey Street, or anywhere else in the area.
Designated Doug, the driver of Short Bus Chauffeur, is a friendly and great driver. He was flexible with our pickup time and location, something not always common among party bus services and let us play our own music the entire way. The bus is super cool inside and out and definitely the highlight of our experience.
Bottom line, if you are looking for a party bus service, there is NO other service better than Short Bus Chauffeur!

Way cooler than Über. I can’t recommend Doug or his buses highly enough. I honestly didn’t know what to expect before climbing into the short bus. But this ain’t your momma’s run-​of-​the-​mill short bus. We’re talking custom wooden benches lining the walls and running lights overhead. If nothing else, go for the experience! Great guy, great business!

What a fun night! We rode the short bus to Rainey Street with Doug as our driver, and we had a blast. He’s so friendly and a great driver, and he did an awesome job getting us where we needed to go. I wouldn’t go to anyone else for an Austin party bus!
As far as the bus goes, we got the shortest one in his fleet, outfitted with custom wood benches, blue LED lights, and great speakers/​dance music. It was perfect for our nighttime ride to and from downtown!

This was the best way to make my best friend’s destination Bachelorette a perfect night. The look on her face was priceless when our party short bus pulled up to get us! Our driver Doug was super friendly and very laid back. We were picked up and dropped off at several locations and he was punctual and super convenient. Freakin love taking the short bus. Super convenient when in a large group trying to go to a destination like 6th st and you dont want to hassle with cabs and everyone trying to arrive at the same place at the same time. The bus is super clean and can fit like 20 people. You can bring your own iphone and plug it in to the sick speaker system and have a dance party on the wooden dance floor.
