Terrific shoe shine stand, and I’ve been to many in airports as well as locations around NYC, Boston, Chicago. Definitely one of the best (if not the best) shines I’ve ever gotten! Great person, great service! The stand is currently off in the mail and vending room of the lobby of 100 Congress.

visiting Austin — my boot broke — walked to the listed location and it doesn’t exist. it’s just a dropoff and he takes the shoes elsewhere for repair.

Rob was great! He waited until I arrived even though it was near closing time. Very professional in his craft. I brought two shoes which I haven’t cleaned previously but after he was done they look better than new now. I normally don’t leave comments but I specifically signed up today so I would make sure to leave a comment. Very friendly and easy to talk to as well. I highly recommend him! I went to the 100 Congress location.

Rob is fantastic! On a fluke of reading Unilocal reviews I decided to try out someone beyond the shoe repair shops. I’ve had my brown, leather boots for over 7 years and they’ve been beat up with Michigan winters of snow, ice and the prevalent salt. I had managed to keep them shined, but had never had them professionally cleaned before. After getting boots back that looked brand new, the next day they were flaking and turned white! I sent him a picture and he quickly invited me to come in to see his work. We found out that there was still so much dried salt in my boots that as soon as he cleaned them and then added polish the boots would turn white about 5 minutes later. He continued to add polish and kept trying new things until they dried and we’re looking like new again. No additional charge for about an hour worth of new work. That kind of tireless work ethic earns him a gold star from me and I will be bringing all of my shoe and boot repair and shining his way from now on.

I also found Shiny Shoes during SXSW at the Cottonelle booth. Wow, talk about TLC. Rob is a great guy who knows his stuff! Charming, efficient, expert. My shoes looked fantastic! Rob has great energy. Put a spring in my step for the rest of the day!

BEST SHOE SHINE!!! Had a pair of scuffed Prada shoes that I needed fixed for my husband a couple of days before Christmas. I called Rob 5 minutes before closing time and he offered to wait the 20 minutes it took for me to drive to his place from West Austin. After he was done with the shoes, they looked brand new and the cost was only $ 8. My husband couldn’t believe how great the shoes looked. Rob is incredibly nice, patient and helpful. If I ever need a shoe shine in Austin, this is the only place I will go to.

I had a mock trial competition coming up and I needed my shoes shined ASAP. I looked up the best place to get hooked up with a good shine and Rob’s place was it. I took two pairs of shoes, one black and one brown, and Rob started immediately. Less than 10 minutes later I had some damn fine and slick looking shoes. They GLISTEN in the sun! Rob was quick, professional, and a really legit dude. His place is located inside the lobby at the 100 Congress Building. I would recommend Rob’s services to anyone looking to get their shoes done the right way. The best part is, like Barney in HIMYM, I have a shoe shine guy now! Rob will definetly be getting my business again! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Very impressed with the quickness and quality of service. Was able to drop my shoes off at the downtown address above and Robert delivered them to my residence just a few hours later. Call Robert before dropping them off though. I made the mistake of showing up at his office building when he was out making deliveries, so I had to give my shoes to the security guard after talking with Robert by phone. By the way, you might have better luck reaching him on his cell: 512−797−5539.

Over Christmas my father gave me two pairs of wingtips (black and brown) that he no longer needed now that he’s retired. Apparently he hadn’t been wearing them much before retirement either based on the thick coating of dust.
I brought the shoes back to Austin and had some work done (new heels on one and new soles on the other) at Golden Slipper (did a good job). The guy at GS had cleaned the shoes a bit, but they still weren’t in interview condition. I bought some shoe shine gear and gave it a go myself… horrible results. The shoes looked even worse because the polish got stuck in all the little holes and I’m awful at shining shoes.
I dropped the shoes off at Robert’s location on W. 6^th (try to call ahead if you can) on a Friday and didn’t need them back right away, so I met him at 100 Congress on a Tuesday. Long story, trying to be short, but failing… the shoes looked amazing.
The shoes have to be 30 years or older and while I won’t go as far to say they look brand new, they do look infintely better than I thought they would when I dropped them off after my aborted attempt at polishing them myself.
Great, great work. $ 8 a pair. I’m not sure what the going rate is, but it was a great price based on the resurrection my shoes received.

The day i went to this place i «aint in no mood» but after dealing with the owner i had the BEST damn shoe shine i have ever gotten ! Friendly greeting, polite service and the shines were perfect ! Great prices too !

There aren’t alot of places to get a shoe shine in Austin TX so you’d think that the quality wouldnt be that good. Not True! Robert does a fantastic job and puts in the time to do the job right. That means a shoe shine that lasts longer which justifies the moderately higher charges than cities where the average shoe shine stand has a line of folks waiting.

Robert came and picked up my shoes from my office in the morning, they were done by the end of the day. When he dropped them off they looked great, best shoe shine I have ever had & very convenient!

If you are getting your shoes shined anywhere else you are crazy, This guy offers the best service around. He will pick up the shoes and then drop them off for a great price. At first I was a little skeptical because of how cheap this entire service was but when I got my shoes back I have to say they might actually look better than when I bought them. Its great when you find a business that actually takes pride in offering a service for a fair price. I definitely recommend using this shoe shine company.
