OMG, what do I say about this woman??? She’s very unprofessional and untrustworthy! She didn’t address any of my concerns about my newborn baby. She dresses in skin tight slacks, stripper heels, and a top which shows a lot of skin. It’s fine to dress that way if one worked at a brothel, but NOT at a doctors office. She should have worn her white doctor jacket. For some reason, she made me feel 10x worse when I left her office. Every time she made me feel awful. It almost felt personal. On the other hand, my husband said she was always way too nice to him. Just after I confided in her that I had some postpartum depression, she was rubbing my husbands arms. She was running her fingernails up and down his arm. Can you say, gross?! All the other doctors who worked in that office were always booked up. She was always available. Hmmm, strange, isn’t it? Apparently nobody wanted her as their child’s pediatrician.

I never« Unilocal», but it’s long overdue for me to share our outstanding experience with Dr. Erica Sharp. One of my children has had a complex set of medical issues throughout her ten years of life — meaning I’ve seen alot(and I do mean ALOT) of doctors and specialists. Dr. Sharp has been a rare find. During the two periods of time our kids have been patients of Dr. Sharp, she has always been systematic, medically thorough, approachable, a great listener, but most of all has always gone above and beyond the call of duty. When our newborn daughter’s umbilical stump was particularly slow to fall off, Dr. Sharp(fresh from medical school at the time) researched medical journals on her own initiative, and found a possible explanation. The explanation she offered proved right on the mark. We risked traveling with our newborn at 6+ weeks.(yea, dumb move). She got sick, and we ended up flying home and cabbing it straight to Dr. Sharp’s office. Dr. Sharp called EMS to have our daughter admitted. Apart from handling the crisis calmly, appropriately and professionally, Dr. Sharp literally took our suitcases to her car and delivered them to us at the hospital later that evening when she checked on our daughter. Dr. Sharp ended up joining North Austin Pediatrics several years later, but unfortunately we stuck with her previous practice only because of its location. For several years, we weathered a contagion of nurse practitioners and frustrating interactions with a pediatrician who clearly didn’t remember our kids or their medical situation from visit to visit. When we needed a pediatrician who would be the coordinator of care — seeing the whole picture when our daughter was seeing multiple specialists — the other pediatrician couldn’t have shown less interest or ownership in the case. We finally got smart and returned to Dr. Sharp’s care. She’s once again been fantastic and thorough with both our kids. She knows exactly who they are and their histories. She keeps us posted when she’s not getting reports from their specialists, and embraces her role as care coordinator. We’re grateful to have her in our kids’ lives and recommend her highly,
