I tried on multiple dresses all of which were beautiful, but they did not have that ‘look’ I was going for. Even though I did not find my dress at this bridal salon I would definitely recommend this place. Alison was easy to work with and so patient. She was also sweet enough to send me a thank you card saying how happy she was to know I found my dress.

I love Serendipity Bridal! By far, it is the best bridal boutique I visited on my adventure of finding a wedding dress. The staff was very professional and friendly and I received the 5-​star experience from start to finish. I had gone to other bridal shops in the Austin and Houston area and Serendipity out-​shined them all… by a long shot. I ended up going to Serendipity twice. It was the first place I went and the last place I went to try on dresses — both times were amazing experiences that I’ll never forget.
Everyone that works there is very knowledgeable about the designers and dresses in their store as well as about the wedding dress industry as a whole. They are all fashion-​savvy and know exactly which pieces go together based on your shape and style.
I worked Brigitte and I loved working with her! She is so knowledgeable about wedding dresses and the wedding fashion industry. She had a 6^th sense for which dresses would look beautiful on me even before I put them on. She also has a great, friendly personality that makes the whole experience really fun and enjoyable when most times it can be pretty stressful. The rest of the staff was fantastic to work with as well. They were all quick to offer their opinions which I loved.
The thing I liked the best about Serendipity is that their goal is to help sure you find a dress that you love, feel confident and look beautiful in. Unlike, other bridal stores, they weren’t trying to «push a sale.» They care about the customer. I also liked that they offered helpful opinions when I expressed concerns about certain dresses looking good on me. Without their help, I wouldn’t have been open-​minded enough to try on an A-​line dress. This led to me finding the dress I am absolutely in love with. If it wasn’t for them, I’d still be looking for the perfect dress.
The store was clean and they had the best selection of designers and styles out of all the boutiques that I had gone to. They have the most beautiful dresses that I have ever seen! It was really hard not to try on all of them! Price-​wise, they mostly have dresses in the higher-​end but I found plenty of dresses in my price range… enough to warrant two appointments. The dress I ended up getting was actually below my $ 2k max budget. The dress I purchased was from the «WToo» line.
My dress is coming in in October and from there I will start the alterations process which is in-​house. Based on my experience with them so far, I have no doubt that this process will be just as stellar. I can’t wait to continue working with Serendipity!

I loved my dress and the alterations were perfect. The customer service and experiences I had are the reason for my 2-​star review.
I bought my dress a year in advance of my wedding and had a great experience with the rep that helped me. I only tried on 4 dresses total at Serendipity, but this was going to be my third and final stop in my search. She pulled a dress from the rack that I never would have tried on, and it ended up being perfect. I was so happy!
Early this year I started having meetings with their alterations specialist, Rosie. Rosie was very helpful and knowledgeable, but the first two meetings I had with her were the exact same. Meaning, she did not alter my dress at all between meeting 1 and meeting 2 (a six week span), which was a little frustrating, as I live in South Austin and drove up for what seemed no reason. At 8pm the night before my final fitting (which was 2 weeks before my wedding), a representative called and told me they had to cancel my fitting due to a death in the family of my seamstress. She then asked me what all needed to be done to the dress since I was last in. I told her «uh, everything, I guess? There hadn’t been any alterations at all the last time I was in.» She immediately got off the phone with me to find another alterations specialist and asked me if I could go to her house at noon on Saturday. I asked if she was telling me that nothing had been done to my dress and that my wedding was only 2 weeks away. She said «that’s why I asked you what needed to be done.» I do not, nor would I, know the current status of my dress. I insisted on keeping my initial appointment to come in and see my dress.
I went in and thankfully, the dress was done. It fit, and my rep that helped me apologized for the confusion and offered to come in on Wednesday (even though they are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays), because my wedding was on a Friday. Come Monday morning, they called and asked if I could come in Monday or Thursday, which tells me they had no intention of accommodating me. I asked why she couldn’t meet me on Wednesday anymore and she replied, «She just can’t now.» I wanted both my mom and sister (who are in different states) to be there for pickup so they could both see how to bustle the dress. Needless to say, that did not happen.
Nice store and beautiful dresses, but the customer service and problem solving skills are not there, and this is not what a bride wants right before her big day.
**As you can see from the belittling and demeaning comments below, the staff addresses none of the actual issues I had with the store. This is disappointing to see after the money spent there. Buyer beware should you have any negative experience here. This is what you can expect– zero ownership or accountability.

Had such an awesome experience with Serendipity Bridal– and it was all thanks to Brigitte! I stumbled in one day while I was running errands and wanted to look around (didn’t have an appointment) and I fell in love with a Lazaro dress. I tried it on and knew it was the one. I made an appointment for that same weekend and came in again with my mom and sisters and tried on almost 10 more dresses but ultimately knew the Lazaro dress would be it. Brigitte was so awesome and helpful and really made this experience so memorable. Couldn’t be more delighted with everything!

I’ve tried on dresses in Austin, Orange County, Beverly Hills, and West LA. Of all the places I’ve been, and all the lovely employees who have helped me out, Kayte was by far the MOST helpful. She is a bridal genius! She showed me dresses I never would have looked at twice and added elements to them and customized them to be exactly what I was looking for. Even though I didn’t get my dress there ultimately, I still felt the need to post a review, because Kayte’s customer service was truly unrivaled. It was still the best experience I ever had dress shopping!

I can’t thank Catherine or the other ladies at Serendipity enough for my experience while trying on bridal gowns. First of all, I came in with my best friend and we were both trying on dresses which is difficult in itself. They did an amazing job of catering to both of us and also making each of our experiences personal.
I had tried on over 80 dresses and was exhausted when I came in. I picked a few gowns and was defeated but Catherine pulled a dress that me and my whole group had passed over after listening to my style. I was in love! I put it on and she worked with me through the entire styling of it. Different belts, different veils, different bows! I left without the dress in hand to think it over and Catherine offered to come in early or stay late if I needed to come back the next day (Sunday) because they were booked. I ended up swinging back by midday (outside of my appointment time) and Catherine made room for us and went through the entire styling process again!
Everyone there was pleasant and extremely accommodating to my indecisiveness. I never felt pressured and the stylists weren’t pushy. BIGGEST thank you to Serendipity!

I got engaged right before Christmas and was casually looking at some dresses via The Knot. I found a designer I liked (Watters Bridal) and where that design of dresses was sold. This is what brought me to Serendipity Bridal. I had scheduled an appointment on a whim (since my wedding is over a year away) for the week my sister was coming in to visit, so she could be with me for the experience. From the moment I walked in I received exceptional customer service. Catherine was my consultant. She took her time to sit down and get to know me a bit as well as ask me what I had in mind and what my vision was for my wedding. Since this was the very first time I was trying on any dresses, we looked together around the boutique and pulled a few dresses to start. There was one dress I particularly came in for which was a two piece dress. Since it was new for the season, they just had the skirt, which Catherine had me try anyhow to see if I would like the feel of a fuller skirt, but it was too much dress for me which then helped to guide us in another direction. The first dress I tried on after the skirt, was one Catherine pulled. It was fabulous and hit the nail right on the head as to what I was looking for. I was able to move in it and feel comfortable as well as it was timeless and elegant. She added a sash which I fell in love with along with the dress. I still tried on all of the others, because I couldn’t believe it would be that easy. As I tried on each dress Catherine took notice that I kept looking back at the first dress I tried on. She said «You keep looking at that dress, no matter which we try on, lets put you back in it one more time.» She completed it birdcage veil, which then gave me the «moment» and I said «YES» to the dress! After I found my dress, we looked around for my Sister, who is my maid of honor. Again, Catherine hit the nail on the head with the bridesmaid dress and my sister fell in love with the first dress she put on and didn’t have to try on another. Serendipity Bridal gave me the best experience from start to finish! Thank you Catherine for everything and thank you Serendipity!

Can’t say enough great things about this bridal store! I bought my wedding dress here a few weeks ago, Brigitte was my sales associate and she was amazing! Very helpful, loved the huge dressing rooms, mimosas, and attention to detail.
Bought a floor sample, $ 300 off and got to take it home that day! I would recommend all brides in the Austin area to definitely check this place out!

This was my first place to try dresses on and I was extremely nervous about what to expect. I had the pleasure of having Alison help me out and she made myself and all of my party feel very comfortable. She let me pick a couple of dresses that caught my eye and then went from there. The dress I ended up buying was actually one of her picks just from her getting a feel of what I liked and didn’t like. It was something I would have never thought of trying on. She took her time with us and I never felt rushed in the process. I was actually able to leave the store and come back later the same day to make a final decision. She was just great at handling me and my sometimes overwhelming family. The ordering of the dress was a breeze and everyone was great! I am definitely telling everyone about how awesome y’all are!

For a higher end boutique I expected better service. Shopping and picking my dress was fun but pressured. I knew exactly what I wanted so I was a very easy customer. I only tried on 4 dresses total that I picked myself. When I told them my wedding date they said that I had plenty of time and that they could do my alterations. The woman talked me into going up to a size 4 instead of ordering my normal size of a 2 and the sample size that fit me perfectly was a size 0. I trusted her years of experience over my limited knowledge of wedding gowns.
When my gown came in a month earlier than their estimate I was excited to get the alterations started. When I showed up to try my dress on, it was much too big and the ENTIRE dress would need to be altered. They then informed me that they would now not be able to do my alterations because they were too busy. The snarky woman told me «ummm it’s wedding season.» Ohh I’m sorry, I do not work in the wedding industry and had no idea when wedding season was. So when I first started shopping and they told me that I had plenty of time and that they could easily do my alterations, now that wasn’t the case.
Another woman came up to me because she overheard our conversation and gave me a list of alteration places. I left feeling sad and confused. I called all of the places on the list and the last one I called was the only one that actually answered the phone. I think that she could hear the concern in my voice so she agreed to take on the project of my dress. Because the dress had to be completely re-​done and sized down it took 4 fittings and $ 1000. My dress was done 5 days before my wedding day. The dress turned out amazing, and it photographed beautifully. Serendipity was a disappointment, it was like once they got my money they then just passed me off.

I had a pleasant, laid back experience at Serendipity a few weeks ago. I was initially drawn to Serendipity because they were having a Lazaro trunk show the weekend I wanted to make an appointmet, and they carry several other designers I had been eyeing. Let me first say that I don’t consider myself a typical bride. I went there alone (we don’t have a bridal party and I don’t need 5 different opinions, I love you mom…) and this was my first and last dress hunting appointment. I didn’t want a second or a third, and I didn’t want to try on 50 dresses. I had a fairly specific, somewhat non-​bridal look in mind for myself. Making my appointment was simple, I did so over the phone. Sarah was my consultant, and she was very sweet and helpful with lots of input and plenty of much needed assistance getting in and out of our picks. Turns out what I thought I wanted was nowhere near what I ended up buying… think 40’s glam Lazaro vision walking in and walking out as toned down Amy Adams a la American Hustle… but the dress is perfect, I can’t wait to get married in it. I purchased a beautiful crystal belt as well to add a tiny but of sparkle to my very minimal dress. The store carries Sarah Seven (designer of my dress) and Sarah designs what I can only describe as elegant, modern, boho-​ish gowns that you should probably give a chance if you visit Serendipity. That being said, the store also carries a few other designers in varying price points that I think would please most. Whoever their buyer is does a great job and takes chances on interesting pieces.
I got my first email regarding the arrival of my dress, and I should expect it in February to begin fittings. Obviously a bit of a wait, but then any store will tell you to expect this, and it’s pretty standard in bridal as they’re really at the mercy of the designer. Thankfully the wedding is a year from now so alterations should be wrapped up long before then, knock on wood. They do have a small selection of sample dresses for sale should you need something sooner, I tried one on that was lovely but just wasn’t for me. So far communication has been good, and my buying experience was straight forward with friendly service. Thank you for helping me find the dress that I will wear and not the dress that wears me!

I came by on a Sunday with my sister, and the lady who helped me was really rude. I appreciated them offering to accommodate me as a walk-​in because I only wanted to try on one dress, but I would have been much more appreciative without the attitude. Very off-​putting experience.

Serendipity Bridal rocks! Some bridal stores are snobby and pretentious, but not this one.
I live in Houston but found a dress I loved while on vacation in Charleston. No place in Houston sold it but Serendipity did.
In a mild panic about timing and logistics of ordering a dress that we had not actually looked at together (did I get the style # right? are we talking about the same dress?!?), Kayte was super helpful, patient and attentive communicating extraordinary well about what to expect and how we could expedite delivery.
In the end, the dress arrived 6 weeks early and I drove in to town to pick it up. She had great tips on how to alter the dress and found a head piece that matched my budget too. You can tell she genuinely cares. And, I got a hug from her! I’m a big fan!

I had a great experience here. I had been to 5 places and tried on numerous dresses before finding Serendipity Bridal. They had such a fantastic selection with an array of price ranges. Which by the way, don’t be fooled by those bridal shows on TV. Turns out you don’t need a ridiculously high budget to find the perfect dress.
For the life of me I cannot remember who was helping me, but I have the card somewhere and will be updating this with her name as soon as I find it. She was so helpful and super patient with my indecisiveness. I made the poor woman switch me back and forth between two dresses, I don’t know how many times, and she really didn’t mind at all. My mom also bought her dress while we were there and she received the same treatment.
Oh and the champagne they give you is quite delicious! Can’t wait until November when dress comes in!

Eh. They didn’t do anything wrong, exactly. It was just an underwhelming experience. This was my first time to try on wedding dresses, and I was so excited based on the reviews!
Upon arrival the 2 employees working said they had no record of my appointment. I pulled up the emails I’d exchanged with an employee named Vanessa. The woman who was helping me said, «oh, well, we don’t have it here. Anyway, you’re lucky because we can accommodate you and your friend.» (My buddy and I went, we’re both getting hitched, and it was both of our 1^st times in gowns!) …okay, thanks?
After a perfunctory tour of the store, the woman who was helping me said, «look around, I’ll be back,» and darted back to the front desk. Both employees were handling some phone call from their boss that involved shipping? IDK. They were much more focused on that than helping us out.
I ran after her a few steps and asked for some guidance, explaining that this is my first time trying on gowns, that I don’t know how to dress my body type, and that I’d like some suggestions. She said, «everyone looks good in an A line dress,» and went back to the front.
The woman assisting me did bring all the dresses I requested. She did help me in and out of the dresses. She did give me time to take pictures. She brought me 3 or 4 dresses she thought would work for me. She did give me a card with the info on my favorite dress from the session. She was simply unenthused to be helping. She didn’t even smile the entire time.
When we finally got back into our street clothes and were leaving, neither employee was anywhere to be found. We walked around a bit, called out, «thank you, we’re leaving now, have a good day!» …no response. We left.
It was just underwhelming. All of my friends said that trying on dresses is the best part of the wedding planning process. I was so excited. I just felt a little let down.
Also, the store has AWFUL lighting. The entire store has fluorescent lights, so the pictures I took in my dresses are completely washed out. All of the stunning details disappeared.
Lackluster service. Lackluster décor. The champagne is a myth. I wish I’d gone somewhere else on that special day.

Even during a sample sale this place had their stuff together. They have their bases covered to make this an experience you will never forget. The rooms are huge with beautiful doors, it really is extravagant. As soon as they could tell I had found my dress they brought out champagne… CHAMPAGNE, how great is that?! I didn’t want to take the dress off so in an effort to give me a reason to bask in it a little longer they even refilled my glass. I was blown away.
As we checked out they had a cute sign to take a picture with saying «she said yes to the dress» which what bride doesn’t like a photo opp? They carried the dress out to the car and just like that I had experience the dress shopping I had always dreamed of.

It’s been a whirlwind from engagement to wedding planning. I got engaged on Easter weekend 2015 and we are getting married this October. My mother and I had no idea just how busy October would be for weddings! So the next weekend after our engagement, my parents came to visit to offer congratulations, as well as for my mom to shop a bit with me. We also didn’t realize that most bridal shops needed an appointment a week in advance or you could only look, but not try on if you just walked into the store. I called and Serendipity said if there was a cancellation the next day, they’d let me know. Sure enough, an hour later they called back with a cancellation and we had a Sunday appointment!
The shop was nice and even though the selection didn’t look as large as say, David’s Bridal, the dresses were all gorgeous. Even the styles I personally wouldn’t look flattering in were pretty to the eye. I showed Meredith what I had in mind and while my mom and I looked, she pulled dresses to suggest too. Meredith was helpful and friendly. Changing in front of a stranger can be awkward, but she kept the conversation light and professional.
After trying on about 6 or 7 dresses, I went back to the first one. It was a little bit difficult to decide between two very beautiful, but different dresses. But the lacy one was for me! My mom and I were so happy to say «yes» to a dress… especially so soon! I’d only been engaged a week! Meredith offered champagne to celebrate, and she helped to take photos of me in my dress. But the dress will take until August to come in. Just in time for a couple of weeks wiggle room before I need fittings and bridal portrait sessions.
I can’t wait to see it this summer!

After visiting multiple bridal salons, I was floored by the level of service I received at Serendipity! Kayte immediately made me and my guests feel comfortable by offering a private seated area as well as a glass of champagne! I especially loved their HUGE dressing rooms! I had been to Serendipity prior to this visit when a friend of mine was in search for her dress. While there my friend tried on the most beautiful Pronovias gown, which is why I returned back to Serendipity for my own search.
While at Serendipity, Kayte showed me a few Pronovias gowns but I didn’t see the one I had seen before. However, Kayte immediately knew what dress I was talking about without giving her much detail. She went around to the back and pulled the exact dress that my friend had tried on. Thankfully, Kayte made sure that I tried on other dresses to make sure that I was given enough options. The dress selection that Kayte pulled was incredible, and all of the dresses were very different from the other stores in Austin.
Kayte allowed me to walk around the store in the dress, stand in front of the mirror and think about if this was the one for well over 30 minutes. She pinned it alot of different ways to make sure it was as close to size as possible. Kayte allowed me to take my time while I tried on different veils, different sized petticoats and belts. She made sure that I felt beautiful before I purchased it.

Lastly, I came on President’s Day/Valentine’s weekend and Serendipity was having a giveaway. I was able to pick a piece of candy from a box, and inside was a prize. I was one of the last appointments on Monday, and Kayte told me that the promotion would end that night but the «grand» prize was still in the box. And it was! I randomly picked the «grand» prize — FREE alterations up to $ 500!!! So needless to say, I bought the dress and I will be using my free alterations when my dress comes in July!

I had such a lovely experience at Serendipity! Sara was an absolute pleasure to work with and very personable. She made the experience so fun, asked questions about the wedding and my preferences, and pulled dresses that were exactly what I was looking for.
The dress selection at the store is incredible, the dressing rooms are beautiful, and the atmosphere is great (mimosas with dress shopping? yes please). I was looking for something flowy with lace or tulle for our garden ceremony. The selection was extensive, even considering my $ 1500 budget. Sara immediately showed my 7 or 8 dresses that were exactly to my taste.
I walked away with a gorgeous wtoo dress from the sample sale and Sara and the staff were incredibly helpful on that front. They went over the dress with me in detail and we talked through the alterations I wanted.
From beginning to end it was a fantastic experience– I would highly recommend Serendipity!

I meant to write a review for Serendipity when I came down to Texas in March to visit family but I am just getting around to it.
I came in with my husband (vow renewal dress) and him and I both happen to have bridal experience in our pasts so we at least are fairly knowledgable about gowns. We went because their designer line up seemed to be right up my alley but needless to say we were both a little let down when we got there. The website makes it seem like there is a beautiful variety of wonderful designers but the reality was there was a majority of one or two designers and then one or two samples of the others… and honestly the way they had the dresses were confusing. Some were buy off the rack, some weren’t? They were by style or designer?
I believe I worked with Meredith… who did not seem to enthused to be working with us. She got me in and out of the dresses just fine, but didn’t seem to interested in talking or getting to know much and when my husband and I would discuss the dresses she just… stood there. Some input is always nice whether I know what I’m doing or not. I didn’t find anything I just had to have and she just scribbled her name on a card and sent me on my way.
Also, during my appointment there was a woman sitting at the front desk going through what seemed like folders of brides who «owed money» and was calling and leaving messages for their balance (that’s fine people need to pay their stuff off) but then was making snarky remarks about them. Not very professional. And I think business type things like that should be done in a back room. Not the front desk where everyone can hear all these bride’s business and balances.
When we got in the car my husband just went «well that was boring…»
