The Schoenstatt Shrine is the only Catholic Marian Shrine in the diocese of Austin. It is a great place to bring the kids for a weekend pilgrimage or to stop by after work. Masses are Sunday 11am and Wednesday 7am.
History
Established in 2014.
After 20 years of gradual growth of the Schoenstatt Family in Austin, a movement of the Catholic Church, we decided to give back to the Church. In 2014 we build the characteristic element of the Schoenstatt spirituality, a replica of the original shrine in Schoenstatt, Germany. This shrine has the special grace of being built in the 100 year anniversary of the blessing of the original shrine in 1914.
The shrine was blessed by Bishop Joe Vasquez on September 13th, 2014.
