Richard Hughes Architecture and Design is an architectural firm specializing in creative historic renovation, new residential and remodeling work throughout the Austin area.

History

Established in 2001.

Richard Hughes knows that every project is unique. He works closely with clients to interpret their personal needs in order to maximize the features of each site. His carefully considered designs integrate traditional architectural principles with modern innovations to accommodate contemporary lifestyles. From simple to major architectural projects, his goal is to create functional and beautiful living spaces, both indoors and out. Richard graduated from the Roger Williams School of Architecture and launched his career on the east coast before beginning his post-​professional degree program at the University of Texas at Austin. He started his own Austin firm in 2001 after working with several local architects and actively participates in the city’s Green Builder Program.
