I hired Reid to do the work on my downtown austin condo after a flood. He handled everything from the pack out of my items, removing all of the water from my house walls and ceilings and the rebuilding the 1^st and 2^nd floor water damage. The project estimate was about 20k and he finished the job on time and under budget. The things I liked most working with him was that he checked in with me daily, the work he and his crew performed was craftsman grade and he was under budget. I would strongly recommend Reid and his crew for your job too.

I’ve known Reid for many years now and have had many a friend use him while remodeling. When we decided to update our house, he was the only person I wanted to work with.
Reid knows the importance of doing things right the first time and has an amazing eye for detail as well as problem solving skills. I can’t even count the number of times we ran into issue (you know how older homes can be) and he would sit down and come up with a solution that was both economical, high-​quality, and matched what we wanted.
Many other reviewers have said this and I will reiterate it. Reid treats your house as his own. I never doubted that our home wasn’t in good hands and had no qualms about handing him the keys and coming by when needed.
We have been in our renovated home for a couple of months now and everything is top-​notch. Besides loving it ourselves, we have had more compliments than I can even count. If you are looking for someone who has an eye for OCD-​level details, impeccable quality of work and a badass crew, he is your guy.

Reid built and helped me design my house in Tarrytown. Also, after it was built he has come back to help with general maintenance work and to add additions to the house and yard. During all this time he was professional and treated the house as it was his own. Never once did I have to worry about entrusting my house, privacy and credit card to him. It is without reservation that I recommend him for construction work. In him you will find a person that has great creative talent and an attention to detail that is without parallel.

Using Reid Faist Construction was a very costly mistake.
2 months after the last check given to him and I am still dealing with parts of his job that he left unfinished. I am out almost $ 4,000 in extra expenses on a $ 35,000 project.
Beware of the mood swings and the unwillingness to cooperate. Save the pain and troubles associated with dealing with this person.

I have used Reid Faist construction for at least 10 years now. I would never trust my home or business to anyone else. He’s the only contractor I can trust and I do not need to watch him or micromanage in any way. He has excellent taste too and you can trust his opinions when you run out of ideas yourself. I also appreciate that he does not have one particular style but works with your style.
