Aka The Natural Tooth Fairy. Thorough, gentle, kind, and professional. I don’t think I could have been happier with my dentist appointment– Especially considering it was my first cleaning in 10+ years. I needed a deep cleaning/​scaling due to the calcification buildup under my gums and the process was quick and relatively painless. I also left feeling educated about my current and future state of dental hygiene. I highly recommend Dr. Rayne and my wonderful dental assistant Shelley. I’m not sure dental assistant is the accurate title– Shelley did all the work that day and was amazing!

I came to her for a second opinion after being told I needed a root canal. She was able to replace my filling and save me from having to get that procedure. Cannot recommended her enough. I tell every friend in Austin to go to Dr. Rayne!

Dr. Rayne and her staff are quite simply, amazing. Don’t let Dr. Rayne’s eccentricity hide how brilliant she is, she is incredibly intelligent and a gifted dentist. I’m lucky to have stumbled upon her. I’ve never had someone show more time and love on my teeth than this woman. After speaking with her for a few moments you can immediately tell she has a passion for people and teeth.
Dr. Rayne discovered that under many of my fillings (done by my previous dentist) I had decay. The previous dentist I saw moved patients in and out, and did not treat each tooth as, well, a piece of art. Each tooth needed to be shaped so that the filling would fit perfectly, not allowing microscopic gaps or decay to find its way there again. She spent the extra time needed on each tooth to do just that, rather than the standard hole or long groove my last dentist did for each tooth — which in the end really didn’t solve the problem.
Not only is Dr. Rayne a better dentist than my last, she was also cheaper! Go figure! She’s got a patient for life.

I had the occasion to choose Dr. Rayne as my dentist after I had a 2 year relationship with another «holistic» dentist in town that ended in catastrophe and cost me thousands of dollars and the loss of 4 of my daughter’s teeth. (I won’t mention any names, but the other dentist is female). Anyhoo… Dr. Rayne and her staff are AMAZING and all I can say is that the only good thing that came out of my relationship with our last dentist is the reason to look for someone new and I am glad I did!
Dr. Rayne completed the most thorough exam on my mouth I have ever had! She truly looks at you «holistically» and isn’t trying to sell your crowns every time you go in. The staff is very nurturing and gentle and the office is small, but cozy and nice. If you are looking to get out of «industrial dentistry» and be treated like a PERSON — Dr. Rayne is the one! I even pay out of pocket to see her since she is «out of network» on my insurance. I don’t care– she is that good!

Dr. Rayne and her staff are just about the most nurturing, caring dentist’s office you could imagine. They are in South Austin, but easy to get to. She is a holistic, natural dentist and is amazingly smart! I went to her because I was having health problems and one doctor said that I was allergic to the material used in my crowns and that I needed to get them removed and replaced immediately. Dr. Rayne was very calm and reassuring. She recommended that I first get tested for allergies to see what materials I truly am allergic to (why guess when you can be sure?). She listened to my health issues and then said to me «well, it sounds to me as though you are too acidic». What? I had never heard that before. I had seen about 5 different docs and got 5 different diagnosis. I had been tested for parasites, given medications for bladder infections, yeast infections… etc. Dr. Rayne gave me a list of foods that are too acidic and suggested I stay away from those for a while. It worked! Crazy, I know. But all of my health problems went away. 5 MD’s couldn’t figure it out and Dr. Rayne picked up on it right away. Nutrition is so important. She is a great dentist and a better doctor than all those other MD’s I went to! I will stay very loyal to this Doctor for sure.
