Powerhouse Carpet Cleaning

Honestly wish I could give it zero stars! Scheduled almost two weeks prior and requested the earliest morning appointment which happened to be a window of 9−11am. I was at my place at 8am, waiting for my call… It never came. So about 10:45 I called the company. They said the tech attempted to call, not the case though. Tried to call him, weren’t able to reach him and I was informed I would be called back. Another hour went by and I called them again. They again tried to call the tech and told me now at noon he could be there in 5 mins. not able to meet now, I requested they come after 1:30 as I had a day planned around the cleaning for the am. They said they couldn’t help me then. Had the owner call and still said they couldn’t make their appointment. To use his words they fell short. The cleaning was scheduled for family and friends coming in town. totally let me down and hanging. Even worse the company stored my credit card information for billing. I now no longer feel comfortable with my card and will be getting a new one. I’ll send the fee to the company and see if they at least can make that right. Worst service.

I live in a studio and finding someone who wouldn’t charge me $ 100+ for 500 sq ft of carpet was a challenge. Enter powerhouse. My apartment actually uses these guys for everyone’s move out but I’ve hired them four times now within my one year lease. Thanks to having a puppy, I have to get my carpets cleaned often. Powerhouse is the most affordable company I’ve found (I called several)!! And they’re always reliable and have excellent customer service. My friends always mention how clean my carpets look when they come in! Thanks powerhouse for making my OCD regarding cleanness affordable!

I lived in an apartment in South Austin about 2.5 years ago. I was moving out and had everything clean. I lifted the last thing off the carpet and the were three noticeable lightened bleached areas on the rug. I don’t know about ya’ll but I’m not paying an $ 800 fee for 3 inches or less of carpet issue.
The RUG COMPANY ON BURNET RD gave me their number/​info. I had called 2 other companies and they gave me the run around on price. Most said $ 250+, not Powerhouse. POWERHOUSE quoted me $ 100 – 150, and finished it for $ 80. The husband/​wife team that came out were very knowledgeable and friendly. I will use them again. HAHA, my property manager thought I had carpets professionally cleaned. He said they were the cleanest carpets post rental ever.
The owner and I talked, after the receptionist could tell how upset I was with my issue and the time constraint I was in. I can’t remember his name, but after the conversation I felt more calm and assured. He made me feel like family.

The best service by far. I use them for multiple rental properties and they are always so prompt, very customer service oriented, and provide excellent service each and every time. I was pleased to recently learn they provide other services as well. The best by far!

Resident of Monterey Ranch Apartments 1÷8÷15, 415pm, one of their drivers just filled up our entire recycle bin with old carpet/​pad, even though the trash compactor was right next to it (but a few steps farther). Blatant disregard for residents and the environment. Do you want your money going to this kind of business?

I’m an apartment manager, so it’s extremely important to me to have a fantastic carpet cleaning/​replacement company. It feels like I’ve used every company at this point, but Powerhouse keeps me coming back. From placing my order to proper invoicing I have had the best luck with Powerhouse. Do they make a mistake here and there? Sure, but they always make it right. Plus, I’ve noted very few mistakes which is amazing in this industry.
I work directly with Jennifer who is awesome, and her supervisor Jorge checks in with me regularly. These guys have customer service down pat. Five stars, Powerhouse! Y’all have saved my bum on more than one occasion for sure!

I hired them to clean our rental property, they came in charged me double the amount to get the stains out. Now I’m out of money and carpet is still dirty with all the stains. Never going to hire them again. Technician said they will come out and charged hefty amount, donot hire them. Useless company.

I went with Powerhouse Carpet Cleaning based on a recommendation from a friend who had used them. I wasn’t impressed. The cost of my carpet cleaning ended up being about $ 30 more than I anticipated. I paid for a whole house cleaning + stairs. I was told that the whole house cleaning would cover up to 2000 sq ft. My home is 1700 sq ft and that includes the stairs and the hard surface flooring. Yet, I was told that they wouldn’t clean my rug. They also didn’t move large pieces of furniture, like the couch or the bed. I totally understand not moving the bookcase that sits on the floor. But the bed and couch are fairly easy to move and are fairly high off the floor, so the carpet underneath definitely needs cleaned. They also didn’t spot treat any areas. I was told that they didn’t have something (??) in their van that they usually do, so they couldn’t spot treat. The carpet was cleaned about a month ago and initially it looked pretty good (with the exception of the areas that should have been spot treated). Now I feel like some of the dirty spots are showing through again.
I’ll call someone else next time.

In January 2012, I redeemed a Morgan’s Deal voucher for $ 45 for $ 90 worth of carpet cleaning. I was told over the phone that there would be an additional charge for tax and gas. After I gave them the voucher number and my credit card number, I agreed to this amount before the carpet cleaner arrived. After the work was done I realized they had parked their work truck in my driveway and it left oil in several spots. I asked them to come take care of the oil spill which they were only able to get some of it removed. A few days later I realized I was charged $ 104.93 on my credit card! They said my voucher had expired and because of this I would have to pay the full amount. So instead of paying $ 45 I ended up paying $ 149.93. I realize it was my mistake that the voucher had expired but I would have not had the work done had I known I would be charged an ADDITIONAL $ 104.93 not to mention the cost it will take to have the oil spill removed a second time. Future consumers need to be aware of their business practices. They shouldn’t be trusted with a credit card upfront payment and their carpet cleaning was not worth $ 150. There are several other companies around town that are trustworthy and responsible. This company is not one of them!
