If you’re choosing between this location and next closest on E William Cannon, I’d suggest this one. Sure some guy was stabbed in the parking lot within the year, but that doesn’t stop the delicious chicken from frying. I’m not even sure you can say that a Popeyes is good unless there’s a little danger involved. I love getting three days worth of meals on Tuesdays. They have a two piece dark chicken special for $ 1.20. What a deal! If you’re a real pro, you just walk up and say«Three orders spicy» and you’ll have your chicken Louisiana fast! I’m always surprised at just how clean this location is. It’s so busy, but for a greasy fried chicken joint, the staff is on top of wiping down the tables. Sure this isn’t the highest quality fried chicken, but when you want a quick grease fix, this should be your jam.

I go there when I am in a hurry! The last 3 times they have messed up my order. They gave me the wrong items. They left items out. Or forgot to give me items or my gallon of tea. THEN I called and got blamed for ordering wrong. I ALWAYS order the EXACT same thing. 3SPICY thighs, Cajun Rice, and Red Beans and Rice. NO biscuit! A gallon of sweet tea. We split it between 3 of us. I am to the point of not going back there again!

It has been a while since I came to this location but it was very disappointing and I dont think I will be returning. First of all they forgot one of my sides that should have came with the meal and the coleslaw was orange… The chicken pieces were small and tasted old and I am pretty sure the coleslaw was probably outdated as well. The biscuits were good but I was upset that they forgot to put my side in the bag like they should have and didnt feel like it was worth the drive all the way back during traffic hour to get mashed potatoes. If you do decide to come here and you go through the Drive-thru…Check to make sure you have everything cause it seems like the employees do not care.

Probably my favorite popeyes location, since now it’s close to where I work. The food is tasty, it could be hotter when I receive it, though. The place always seems to be under some sort of construction when I enter, and it’s been that way for probably the past 8 or so years.(which means my mom refuses to go in since its«dirty») Spicy chicken is my favorite, and you can’t beat the price of the chicken wraps(with the delicious red beans and rice!) The staff is always really friendly, too. All in all, I’ve never gotten sick from here, and I’m always up for coming back when I need my spicy fried chicken fix.

This Popeye’s in very near my ‘hood and we’ve been here a number of times. The fried chicken is usually solid, their store is always CLEAN and if there are any issues — the folks here are ALWAYS quick to help… and that has never been an issue. One(small) criticism I do have is that I think that this store is ready for some updated interior design. The posters and other schwagg from ‘Nawlins just feels a bit dated… but otherwise, I like this Popeye’s location just fine. When we visit, it is usually just the kids and we usually dine in and we will be back!

Ok, so I know what you are thinking, «How can this be different from any of the other places?» Well, the General Manager makes this place stand out. I can’t recall his name, but I know he is the GM, via name tag, he has been here since I can remember. Each time he has been extremely pleasant to deal with. His customer service alone brings this Popeyes up a notch. The food is what you come to expect, sometimes the chicken is better, but its never horrible. The red beans and rice could be eaten every day by me, I LOVETHEM! Seriously, put a veil over a large and I might say I do and marry it. lol They are that good.

Most Popeye’s are BonaFAIL when it comes to service. This one is actually pretty good and friendly. Other than that? It’s Popeye’s.

I’m not ashamed to admit it… Ok, I’m a little ashamed to admit it. But I am admitting it. That’s gotta count for something. What, I don’t know. What I do know is that I am totally hooked on Popeye’s shrimp po-boy, and this location consistently serves them up super quick, which is really my main consideration when hitting a drive thru, after the food quality of course. And never having frequented any Popeye’s location before, I was pleasantly surprised to find a generous helping of petite but quality shrimp on a crisp flaky hoagie roll, dressed with fresh cut lettuce, crisp pickles and a tasty half tangy half spicy all delicious sauce. That’s right, I said it. My name is Mark D and I’m a Popeye’s shrimpaholic. Don’t judge.

It was hard for me to give a 5 star rating to a fast food chicken joint, but I’ve been to a lot of them and this one is the best around, I’ve been to other Popeyes as well. But none of them hold a candle to how good the spicy chicken and mashed potatoes are at this place. The tea is always great and the drinks are never flat either. My food is always piping hot and the quality never lets me down. I don’t have any complaints at all with the customer service either, it’s pretty much drive up, get your stuff, thanks and goodbye. The people here know how to make good food and that’s what keeps me coming back.

You never know what you’re going to get going here. The chicken burritos they were advertising at one time looked so great that my boyfriend and I decided to try them out. It took a while to place our order, and once we settled down to eat the burritos, they tasted great, however, a few hours later we started feeling weird. The weirdness lasted through the next day, and my boyfriend decided to call the Poison Control Center to see what we could do, and the lady said that it wasn’t the first time they had gotten a call about that Popeye’s having food poisoning, so she said they’d be sending a health inspector out. Later the lady called back wanting our information. One word of advice, BEWARE! We ended up being sick for a week after eating those burritos.

man.. .this place is delicious but will kill you. It reminds me of those men in jail that always seem to have a steady girlfriend. They must have a certain spice that keeps the ladies coming back.. .I know popeyes does. I should never have taken my 5 year old here. Michelle Obama is going to be knocking on my door in about 5 minutes giving me nutritional alternatives. If you go twice a year, you’re probably ok.

I really hate the drive thru at this Popeye’s so I go inside to pick up. I’ve lived in this neighborhood since 06⁄09 and the place has always been in the middle of renovations. However, the chicken is superb, the rice and beans are dreamy and the biscuits. Ohh, the biscuits. Popeye’s is an undeniable part of my unbelievable existence and I think that this location is better than most.

It’s been a little while, but here’s the way I recall this Popeyes… The chicken’s just fine, but the staff seems annoyed by the presence of customers in the building. Seriously. If you ask for anything that requires an order modification, like white piece substitution, expect major pounding of the ivories on the register, accompanied by an eye-roll at the minimum or verbalized annoyance and attitude at the maximum. Additionally, there always seems to be a band of homeboys hanging either in the parking lot or inside the store talking up the staff. They’re not eating, just visiting. I thought I could avoid all the drama by going through the drive-thru, but that was even a bad experience – long wait in line and again, attitude at the window by staff who could barely speak English. This is a one-star because I got the message to take my business elsewhere, not because the food was bad. I almost called the 800 number last time I was in. Wish I had.
