Pop-A-Lock

Pop-​A-​Lock saved Christmas! Made it back to Austin from a long and harrowing plane flight, only to find the car battery dead. Roadside assistance sent Pop-​a-​Lock. They quoted a 35 minute arrival time, but had the car back running again in half the time. Thank you!

First time… took them three hours to even show up. Second time… they took two hours after telling me they were ten minutes away. They also refused to call me with updates on their location. I sat on the side of a highway getting fried. Awesome.

I had the WORST experience with Pop-​A-​Lock yesterday! I had a flat tire, thankfully was close to home so I made it to my house. The person who came out to my house though, decides he’s going to put air into my tire. When he realized that won’t fix my flat (shocker right?), he asks for my tools to fix my spare. When I start to explain to him that my back hatch door is broken he tells me I have to tow my car and then leaves! He didn’t even let me explain that I could open the door for him from the inside of the car. LAZY. That’s all there was to it. Reliable Roadside Assistance came out today and fixed my tire in 10 minutes! I was completely shocked because yesterday I was told the only way to fix my tire was switch it out completely. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Pretty stellar company if you’re interested in waiting on the side of the highway for five hours to have them claim they completed the service but never actually show up

I got them by default to come jump a car due to my battery been low. The driver had a B12662 allocation number. I have never dealt with the poorest customer service in the history of man kind. First he called with an atitude asking so rudely about my apt. This guy didnot even say a word to me, I just couldn’t wait for him to leave. He spent 2 mins and carried his arrogant self out of my apartment complex. I advice you ask if you have an option Dont deal with this company. If there was zero stars I will give

I was waiting for someone to come help me change my tire for over an hour. The first person they dispatched was on the complete other side of town. Forty-​five minutes later, a guy called me saying he was on his way. Yeah! When I told him exactly where the car was, he refused to come saying it was unsafe and he cancelled on me. Then my warranty people told me they had to pay the fee because I cancelled on THEM! This was actually the second bad experience I’ve had with them. Use ANY other service but Pop-​A-​Lock!

Had a blowout on the interstate and called roadside assistance, and they sent Popalock, who arrived 40 minutes later. After he couldn’t find us, a sheriff pulled up and waited. Popalock guy called and said «I see you are on the inside of the interstate and I don’t do that. You have to get a tow truck». We told roadside assistance we were on the inside. The cop thought that was ridiculous and talked to him on the phone, and Popalock reluctantly decided to fix it, with the cop ensuring traffic wasn’t close.
Moral of the story is Austin Texas Popalock has a less than adequate «man» working who says he doesn’t have life insurance or make enough and would rather drive off and say no than help. He agrees he needs to look for a new job.
Also if you have someone stop on the side of the road don’t wait on roadside assistance who calls «Popalock» to help. Should have known that was a bad idea anyways.
Or if Popalock comes make sure there is a sheriff to talk to them. That obviously works too.

I was surprised they only charged me $ 49.99 for opening my car door at close to 10pm. It took the locksmith about 25 minutes to get to me and he was very quick, friendly, and professional. Some of the other supposedly ²⁴⁄₇ places I had called didn’t answer but these guys did so I’ll probably use them in the future.

This is the company my auto insurance uses for roadside assistance. I have needed help twice in the past two years, once for a dead battery and today for a flat tire. Both times they were here in the promised time frames, were nice and professional and got done what I needed done quickly once they arrived!

Will from Pop-​A-​Lock came out to replace the tire on my car. In spite of 10 other jobs he was taking care of, he was extremely thorough in removing the flat tire and putting a spare on. Couldn’t be happier!

Called in after getting keys locked in trunk. He was here in 30 minutes and opened it up in like 3 minutes! Awesome! And for a reasonable price, I was expecting more than $ 80 especially it being a Sunday and Memorial weekend.

I feel like I have to give a good review to this place. I waited no more than 30min for them to come out in terrible weather to unlock my door which took them all of 5min. Wam bam thank you mam. And the guy that came out was just wonderful and super professional. I’m sure at times they get really busy which can push wait times back and it seems I hit it perfectly to where this did not happen but regardless I would use them again.

Called for roadside systems and they said they’re going to be out there in 15 minutes. They never called back, just cancelled and I found out with a phone call from my own insurance telling me they canceled because it wasn’t safe on the side of the road. Are you kidding me! You’re «roadside assistance»!!! How hard would it be been for the technician to call me or stop quickly and say can you move your car to a safer location. I now have to wait another hour for another roadside assistance to show up to take care of me.

Prompt service and reasonable cost. Friendly service and quick work time.
I got an accurate quote in 2 minutes and the technician was at my car in 30 minutes as reported. This was during rush hour in east Austin. It took the technician about 30 seconds to unlock my car. He used professional equipment and was friendly and courteous. His name was Marty and he saved the day.

No Show, No Phone Call, No Service.
They were the company assigned to us by our insurance’s roadside assistance and they simply left us out in the cold for hours without even so much as a phone call. After 2 hours we ended up getting service by another company within 30 mins.

Took ‘em a little while to get there but clearly experienced at unlocking car doors and he got in there reasonably quickly. No fuss no muss.

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, Pop-​A-​Lock. This Monday morning was off to a less than desirable start and you saved the day.
I absentmindedly locked my car door and walked away while my purse (containing my electronic key fob) remained sitting in the passenger seat. Ugh! Just when I was on my way to starting my workday early, maybe having a few minutes to myself before my co-​workers began to trickle in with their chatty tales from the weekend…
Normally, my super smart nanny car would not have allowed me to lock the door while the fob remained inside and I was outside, but this time, a low battery in the fob allowed my slip-​up. What’s worse, as soon as I touched the door again, the obnoxious alarm began to blare and proceeded to annoy everyone in a 50 yard vicinity of the garage as it went off every 5 minutes for the next half-​hour and masses of my co-​workers streamed in to start their weeks. Have you ever had to listen to a car alarm inside a parking garage? This could be an excellent «enhanced interrogation» method to break hardened secret agents.
Well, never fear if this should happen to you, even during Monday morning rush hour, Pop-​a-​Lock will send a nice guy right over to solve your problem for the low-​low price of $ 45. I was skeptical that they could really meet their estimated 30 minute arrival time (you ever tried hurrying anywhere on 360 between 8 and 9am?), but they were true to their word. Nice touch, the locksmith called when he was on his way, and called again when he arrived.
Mr. Niceguy drove right up to the car and calmly dealt with this anxious lady in a very kind and professional manner. It took longer to fill out the paperwork (mostly collecting info & signatures to prove that this is really my car and I really give permission for him to enter it) than it did for him to gently break into my car without damaging a thing. Nicely done, sir.
Bonus: I now know how to break into my own car in the future should I ever find myself in this situation again.

Anyway, so I got a flat tire this morning. Noticed once I was safely at work and all the men in my office one by one walked outside, noticed it, walked back in and told me.
I panicked for a moment because — huh? Tires? I’m in high heels. Then remembered that we have the Ford Rewards membership thingy and it’d be totes free for me to fix this.
Soooo — the roadside operator sent out Pop A Lock. The kid, I shouldn’t have paid better attention to his name — did a good job. Took almost exactly an hour, which sucked, and needed full access to the inside of my car, which sucked. If I had actually been stranded on the side of the road, I would have probably gotten annoyed. HOWEVER, since he was extremely polite and helpful and straightforward with me, and since I was at work and could just go inside instead of stand there like a worthless female while he did all the work — it was actually a good experience. He changed out my tire for the spare and loaded the flat tire and wheel into the bed of my truck for me.
He was new, he’ll get the hang of it.
If I were in a bind again, I’d happily call these folks.

Stepped out to grab a burger for lunch and wouldn’t you know it, there were my keys sitting on the front seat of my car. Classic Walker (last time I left my keys on someone’s bumper and they drove away. Don’t ask. This situation was definitely better than that one!)
Pop-​a-​lock was called by my emergency roadside service and I’m glad they did. Will #423 called to tell me he’d be a little later than estimated, but he would be with me as fast as he could (and even read me his GPS reading to let me know how long). He then called when he was ten minutes out.
He was professional and educational, it was barely a five minute exchange but thoroughly enjoyable. Will was very friendly and a perfect buddy to have during what could have been a stressful situation. I also felt better about my situation when he let me know it was 98 call of the day. Guess I’m not the only idiot in town!
Important note: This company will unlock cars and home if there is a child inside for FREE. Super cool. Will said they typically beat the fire department. He gave me his card and told me to spread the word because he is proud to be part of a company that would offer that.
