So, first off, the prices are hit or miss.
Secondly, the staff is pretty damn friendly!
A guy named Zak helped me out and from now on, I’ll be visiting this location for everything I need. He was extremely helpful and informative of anything I asked about, from incense to pipes and grinders to the hot sauce they have by the checkout counter!

I am not sure why whenever we walk in here, it throws me back to the old days in Austin and the original Oat Willies. There is such a plethora of things in here and the technology for smoking is off the hook. Pocket vaporizers? Yep they are all the rage now. All the bongs are now made out of glass rather than the old trusty Sarah’s Family bong of my college days, years and years ago. I am ever curious and always talk to the stores personnel as to what is this and what is that. What’s the difference between pipes and such. We generally drop in for the expansive array of kitchen magnets which Suzie like’s to buy and give to her friends. I like to browse all the paraphernalia, the old comic books and knick knacks which are abundantly displayed all around the store. It’s nice to reminiscence about a place which seems frozen in time. We always have a few laughs and end up with a half dozen magnets and a knick or knack that we feel we can’t live without. Yesterday, once we retire, we should apply to work here, since we thought it would be a much better alternative to being a Walmart greeter. Funky, Groovy old Austin at it’s best.

Eh, take Planet J for what it is a smoke shop. Me and my friends had fun in here! I came to look for some rare cigars and the had them. Not to mention all the other random stuff they had. I liked the place would deff go back to get some gag gifts lol!

This place has all that stuff you thought was cool when you were twelve years old. Bongs, hair dye, stuff with boobs and dicks on it, funny pet gags, and frisbees. Actually boobs and frisbees are still pretty cool but why not just sell porn too?

This place is fun. Stopped by here during the margarita tour and tried to get the staff to settled the Olivias/​Barley Swine animal organ debate. They were no help, but we did get a great game. The game was FUN!

This is the absolute filthiest, dustiest, most disgusting store I’ve ever been in (besides the Planet K on 183 near Duval… that one might be even worse.) But they have a great selection of gifts, glass, water pipes, other pipes, stash boxes, incense, extra super special and fun «incense» like Kratom and Salvia, and funky little things you really don’t find anywhere else. They also carry my favorite hair dye, Special Effects. So put on some galoshes and a gas mask and tough it out and go there anyway.
The prices are a bit high for my taste, but the selection almost makes up for it.

Well, I like the S Lamar location better than the one off of 183.
The print musuem it shares a building with is pretty cool, as are all of the decorated broken automobiles in the parking lot.
I made the mistake of walking around front of the building, where they have stairs, a running water hose, algae growth, and landscaping filler made out of broken glass. Needless to say I slipped on their stairs and fell into a pile of broken glass… so, i think the owner should clean up the stairs and stop the hose drip for public safety.
The store seems small beause it is crowded with merchandise, but it’s alright. They have a nice selection of products. Their staff is NOT friendly, BUT they are NOT A$$holes either… so meh
They actually have really good prices on ash trays (of all things).
It is worth going there at least once to check out for yourself.
They have a nice little picnic table area in the back next to the enterance. Other people that shop there are cool and you might catch some people to chill out with.

well its pretty on the outside and they have bunches of cool items inside but whats with all the dust? We bought a bubbler tonight that we had to spend ages cleaning because of the strange dusty feeling on the glass. maybe too much incests in the air. The other thing that kinda bothers me about this location is that the stoner employees aren’t very welcoming.

Very rude and unintelligent employees… Makes you show your name on the card and very weird items that are very unnecessary in the space provided… Don’t go here just go to BC!!!

Very cool store located next door to some crazy museum. They have it all for whatever needs you have. Very friendly and knowledgeable employees. Decent prices and very convenient for where I was staying. That’s always a plus!!!

Planet K South is probably the best out of all Planet K stores, because it has a small neat museum to look at and the employees are usually more awesome and helpful than at the other locations. This location usually have more stuff in stock than the other locations (I have been to both of the stores on Research and on I-​35 North /​Rundberg).
The prices for the handpipes, the bowls, and the bongs are not so bad. The prices are usually much cheaper than at The Gas Pipe Shop. They have almost every equipment you may need for your smoking habits. It has an adult section that sells the sex toys, the lubes, or whatever, but the toys are always looking dusty. I just like to look at the stuff, because there are always something funny to look at, but at this store, oh boy, everything is so dusty. Ick.
