Great service for my pedicure and gel manicure. Very thorough and took her time. The lady was friendly and they put fans on us when we mentioned it was hot in the salon and subsequently turned the AC down. Great prices too– I’ll definitely come back.

This place rocks! Walk ins are welcome or you can request your favorite nail tech! Always very good service.

You always have to wait even when you make an appointment. It almost seems like they are doing you a favor by doing your nails. It sucks because Van is awesome at her craft but her salon sucks. I’ve been left waiting for almost an hour while she finishes other people even when I call ahead. I call trying to make an appointment and get completely brushed off by the manager saying I need to come now if I’m interested in having her do my nails. I’ll find somewhere new. Thanks anyway…

Wanted me to pay 17 just for paint on my natural nails. Umm no thank you. The only reason I even stopped in was because my usual place next door NJ nails was closed for training today and tomorrow. They only charge me $ 10 for French tip paint at my usual place.

I got the older lady she was very rough filling my nails and cut my cuticle making it bleed. She made 3 nails look crocked had to fix my nails when I was home. I asked to paint them and she refused because I got pearl tips. Nope never going back

This deserves no stars. I called ahead to make sure someone would be able to do my nails when i got there of course they claim yes but after an hour of me sitting in a chair at an empty station i walked out. Its a great place to go if you don’t mind sitting around for a few hours while the one person they have that is capable of doing nails at the speed of a turtle is taking care of each of her customers. This place should just call it self and mani pedi shop cause that is all those people seem to be capable of doing. Such a disappointment for one of the few salons that is south to be the worst service i have seen since i moved here. Save your time and money and go else where these people could not even pay me to walk back through their doors.

I jus want to start my review and say in my 24 years of life I have never written a bad review about any kind of establishment. I went to this nail salon based on all the positive reviews and I was taken aback at the negative service I received. $ 95 and 3 hours later I walk out with nails I don’t like. I asked for a full set and a pedicure, was told to pick a color and when I said I wanted French nails I was told that it wouldn’t look good with my nails and I should pick a color… What? When I said I wanted French they again told me they weren’t gonna do that for me. I was then TOLD I am getting gel nails and I rushed by the staff to pick a color. Van or Kim left my nails too long after multiple of asking her to shorten then and when she did she used a pair of scissors. I have never seen this done and my nails came out crooked! She wanted to add a design for more $$ and i declined but she added a bit of glitter on my ring finger (& charged me for it!) During my pedicure I liked the massage and that she took off all my dead skin. I asked for the spa pedicure that’s $ 30. When it was time to pay I was told my pedi was $ 50, $ 20 extra for gel. What?!? I asked multiple times during the pedi and she said «yes $ 30» when it was time to put on the solar polish I was moved from the spa to the nail station and told to put my foot on Kim or vans knee as she painted them under the table. Very uncomfortable and then my foot went into the same LED light that women put their hands in so god knows what kind of germs are laying where women rest their hands! Anyway a $ 50 pedicure and a $ 45 set of nails with the polish not covering the entire nail is not worth it! This is my first and last time I will go to this place!!!

I cannot rave enough about this place! Lena and Van are my go to girls for all my primping needs. i go in and get the works everytime i come home from a long trip. Nails, Eyebrows, Detox and full body hot rock massge. Helen and Lena do the massages and they are equally great at it. When i leave I am spitshined and ready for the world again. I tell Lean every time, you keep my feet and hands and body healthy with your treatments and healing hands.

After trying several places in south austin, this is my go-​to! Everyone who works here is soooo stinkin nice and does a great job. I’m not just saying it, it’s really true! They take their time during the massage portion of mani/​pedis which is always awesome. The ladies and I have fun picking out colors for special events or trips. Sometimes I’m in a rush and when I let them know they get me in and out without sacrificing quality. My nails have never looked better or stronger. I get compliments all the time! Great value and they even do a great job with waxing (way better, less painful, and more affordable than European wax center in southpark meadows). Never had anything less than a great experience and have been 15+ times. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite place to go. Deluxe combo mani pedi — best bang for your buck. They are so sweet and caring. I feel like they truly care about service. They spend a great deal of time on you. I’m always there for at least an hour. Deluxe includes rocks, mask, massage. Amazing.

My regular salon for mani/​pedi. Nice ladies and there is a chair available 95% of the time, possible exception Sat morning. Love that they are open Sunday. Thanks ladies!

A-​MAZING. Or I guess ahhhhmazing would be more appropriate. This was one of the best pedicures I’ve ever had, and it all came down to the epic foot and leg massage. Nothing got left out, she even worked on my knee and ankle joints and it was heavenly. These ladies kindly allowed me to come in without an appointment when they already had all chairs full an hour before closing and did their utmost to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I don’t have one bad thing to say about my experience here. Helen missed her calling a massage therapist for sure, but I’m glad she’s there because you can’t beat that level of service for $ 25! Go, go now, and take everyone you know.

BEST PEDI I EVER HAD! The staff is super nice and the place is clean. Andy did my toes… for like an hour. My feet and legs have never been so happy! Also he talked to me, that like never happens. Very affordable. My only complaint is i waited an hour and a half after pedi to put on my shoes and my toes still were not dry. The big ones got smussed. So be careful ladies keep the toesies purty and lose the shoes. Thanks Pearl Nails you have a life long client!

Pink & White:
I have been going to Pearl nails for a few months now. I went to several nail salons trying to find someone who does a good pink & white. I don’t like a lot of white and I don’t like them to feel like giant paddles on my fingers. Most nail technicians fight me on this and either tell me to let them do their thing because they know what I want or that what I want won’t look good. Nonsense, I know what I think looks good. Don’t argue with my preferences thank you.
At Pearl nails, they don’t argue with you. They listen to what you want and then do it. Van is the very best at pink & white. She does what you want and does it quickly yet meticulously. She has consistently done a great job on my nails over a dozen times. I get a lot of compliments on them and often people are surprised when I say my nails are fake.
Also, Van let me know when she is going on vacation so that I can schedule my nails around when she will be gone. Very thoughtful!
Of course they do the regular «You want your eyebrows waxed?» while doing your nails so you’re like, «No… but thanks for telling me my eyebrows looks like crap!» They charge $ 33 for a fill which isn’t the most expensive but not the cheapest I’ve seen either.
Pedicure:
I have had almost every girl at Pearl do my pedicure. I don’t have any nasty toenails or fungus or anything gross on my feet. I am a runner so I tend to have some extra build up of dead skin on my heels. They do an ok job of exfoliating my feet but usually not a great job. I used to only get pedicures once a month but now I need to go every 2 weeks it seems.
The technicians don’t push you to get the deluxe pedicures but they do ask if you want it. The regular pedicure includes a massage… or a foot+calf rub with additional punching you in the legs for a while. I guess its pleasant.
My only issue with they pedicure is that it does not last very long. Toes shouldn’t need to be repainted every 2 weeks… in my experience but for some reason they do here. I forget how much it is but I imagine its reasonable as the p&w fill.
Overall:
— This place is clean and bright.
— I never have to wait long to get my nails done
— The ladies there are nice enough
— They usually have CNN on the TVs so you’re not stuck watching Dr. OZ or some bullshit soap opera… but it depends when you go in.

This had to be the most painful experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. I walked out with 7 cuts in 4 different fingers. I’ve only gotten acrylics twice in my life so at first I wasn’t sure as to what to expect. So I braved through the first couple of cuts. But by the third time when my left index finger was bleeding non-​stop, I knew this was not normal. She used a sander and went to town on my nails AND my cuticles AND my skin. It has been two days and I am still unable to cook or wash the dishes because I am in so much pain. Each time she hurt me, I would say «ouch» and all she would do was say «sorry sorry» and pour alcohol into the cuts… which made the pain even worse. All that pain and suffering cost me $ 35. Also, I still tipped her $ 5 because it felt like the right thing to do. However, I am not going back there again. If anyone wants to try their luck, just stay away from a short haired lady in her 40’s. If I find out her name, I will come and edit this post later.
I also forgot to add. the first impression was already not the greatest. When I walked in, a lady welcomed me and asked me what I wanted to do. I said I wanted to get acrylics. She proceeded by showing me her nicely designed nails and said «like this?» Then, she went to grab said short-​haired lady. That lady showed me the designs they had and asked me to pick one. I picked a design similar to the one the first lady showed me. She said «No, I don’t know how to do it.». I asked for another simpler design. She didn’t know how to do that one either! And she was the only person who knew how to do acrylics at this place apparently. So with both incidents combined, they would definitely not see me back as a repeat customer. I will continue my search for a high quality nail salon.

Love the service and friendly and smiling staff. Even though they close at 5:00 pm, we walked in T 4:45 pm and they took their time and gave us an excellent service. I highly recommend it especially their deluxe mani-​pedi. The place is very clean and bright and very sociable!

I love Pearl Nails! They are sweet and do a great job. The place gets busy though, so sometimes the wait is 30 – 45 minutes. They take their time and do quality work — I get busy, so I don’t get fills as often as I should. I’ve had a full set (regular, not solar) for an entire month, no problems (except paint chips, but that’s not their fault)! Been going here for over 2 years and service has always been great.
Pedicures are good, as are waxing services. All prices are great and I love that they keep the door open for some fresh air on nice days.

I went there today and it was a packed house they told me it would be about a ten minute wait and it was shorter. It was clean and bright, the ladies and gentleman here were truly kind, gentle, and funny. This is a neighborhood nail salon and they almost knew everyone, they did a fantastic mani/​pedi and the most gentle eyebrow wax. I would recommend them to everyone.

We had all decided that we wanted to get mani-​pedis this weekend and my friend Tracy had been here before so she recommended it. We were WAY late for our appointment and we showed up 12 min before they were supposed to close yet they didn’t mind at all. The staff was incredibly helpful and they did a great job. They even stayed late to do some eyebrow waxing without even the slightest bit of snarkiness. I would highly recommend this place because the prices are pretty reasonable, they don’t use crappy products like some places do, and you get the sense that they genuinely love their customers. Not too many places make you feel like that anymore.
