I really really enjoyed my time here. I came here on a Sunday without an appointment and to my luck Elia had opened up to attend me. I came in with terrible damaged blonde hair and Elia was able to completely turn my hair look around by giving me a more natural look. It’s been 4 weeks since I last went and I’m still very happy with the work she did on me.
I will definitely be going back in the future. The entire staff including the receptionist welcomed me and treated me very nicely.
As for Elia, she made me feel very comfortable and was a person you could easily carry a conversation with. I really appreciate her hard work and patience in dealing with my heavy/​thick hair. She showed no rush in trying to finish, instead she showed a lot of patience and commitment in getting my hair done right.
My only recommendation is to make an appointment ahead of time just to be sure you get attended. To my luck I waited only 15 minutes, but if your willing to wait a tad bit I would say it doesn’t hurt to try walking in. Another plus from this place is that there one of the few places here in Austin that accept walk-​ins and are open on Sunday!
I definitely recommend this place! And Elia of course! She was such a wonderful person/​stylist to be around with.

My stylist recommended Olaplex to strengthen the ends of my curly hair at a $ 70 price tag. With cut and color, a $ 282.00 bill and that didn’t include tip. Ouch but okay, whatever it costs to look good. I loved the Olaplex result BUT after going to another salon to fix the ORANGE roots and PURPLE hair (not violet but purple) I left with, I found out other salons only charge $ 15 — $ 30. AND I requested black all over color with a brown base. Of which, I did receive on my visit prior to this very salon and stylist. I even had pictures!
One star for the cut and one for the Olaplex result. I even put up with three hours of Austin traffic for this?!
I’d like a refund for the entire color and 50% of the Olaplex. This place will rob you blind and leave you with bad hair. Thank you Path for the tears and sleepless night.

Elia did an amazing job! Went in for a long style cut & walked out with hair feeling light, fresh and beautiful! Cut is amazing! She was super friendly, personable & did exactly what I asked. I will definitely be back to see her. The salon is a wonderfully designed space. I am in love with all the woodwork! 5 stars for this gem.

This place is a gem. Very comfortable, airy & sunny space, great music and so friendly. I see Olivia and she is so sweet and attentive. I feel like she really listens and never surprises me. Plus she is the Master of pixie cuts! Details make all the difference with short cuts, and she absolutely has the eye. I look at pics of my cut before I found her and it’s just nowhere near as cute. She always knows what to trim to keep it looking fresh and feminine. I can’t recommend her and Path enough!

I have been seeing Roxi Jitaru Schamegan the hairstylist for haircuts for about a year now. I have followed her from her previous salon since she always does a fantastic job! My hair is very hard to manage– it’s very fine, but frizzy, and somewhat wavy… very hard to make it look good. Roxi manages to give me a haircut not only just to walk out of the salon with but also a hairstyle that I am able to maintain myself. Her consultations and very thorough and she truly listens! She also gives me great tips that help me style my hair and alleviate frustration daily! Last time she tried Deva products on my hair and turned out really good! If you need a good hairstylist I highly recommend Roxi at Path salon!

Love this place so much! I’ve been going for a solid 7 years now. I’ll be honest, I’ve tried out a few other salons in Austin, but I always come back to Path, and here’s why:
1. The atmosphere. They’re always switching things up, and while the changes are often subtle, it keeps the salon fresh and the energy is never stale.
2. The products. They have a wide breadth of products from a few select lines. They try out new ones from time to time, but it seems that only the best of the best sticks. I discovered Bumble and Bumble here, which is my fave. It’s kinda mainstream now, but they were once if the first salons to carry it. They also have makeup and jewelry from local companies/​artists, and the selection changes up.
3. The staff. Not only are the staff young and hip, but everyone looks happy to be there. Even the receptionist. Ryan is my hairdresser, and he is top notch. I have long hair, which many stylists love to chop off. From day one he really listened to me and built a trust relationship before taking any risks. Now I know he knows what I want, even when I don’t know. Plus he gives an EPIC head/​neck massage while your conditioner is sitting. Love him!
4. The price. They are not the cheapest in town by any means, nor would I expect them to be. They’re priced like pros, but the cost/​benefit is perfect. I’m an accountant so I can attest to that. :)

If you can imagine how hard it would be to find a hairstylist AS a hairstylist, then you can understand the joy I have in telling you that Path is amazing. I have known the owner, Ryan Driggers, for over 30 years and consider he and his staff top notch experts in their craft. Go, get your hair done, then go out with your friends because you are going to look hot!

Best experience I’ve had at a salon here in Austin. The staff is very polite, the place is tidy, and affordable. I had an appointment with Nicole and she really whipped my hair back into shape. I couldn’t be happier. I cannot recommend this place more!

This is such a cute space! Very accessible location to Austin/​South Austin also. That being said, the main reason I need to rave about this place is because of how much I love my oh so talented stylist ROXI!!!
Roxi is the first person I have found in several years that has been able to make my hair look so amazing! She pays so much attention to detail and gives her client a style that flatters them perfectly. I have received more compliments on her haircuts than any other I’ve ever had… Which says a lot since I am a cosmetologist myself who’s worked over 10 years in the industry! (Not easily impressed and picky ;) She also is very entertaining to talk to and I love coming in to see her!

Roxi (Roxana), masterfully (and for some reason quickly) executes men’s haircuts. At times I have no idea what I am looking for and she always leads me down the right path. She seems to have a finger on the pulse of men’s fashion.
Also, I have a busy schedule and get stressed out like the rest of us. When I know I am getting a haircut on a given date with Roxi, I know I have something to look forward to – that is, the hair looks fantastic… every time without fail. Even if she suggests something more edgy that I am used to.
After talking to some others in the salon, one her specialties is women’s curly hair. If thats you, I say call it in!

The lovely Emily Clay has been coloring my hair for years. She is a sweet angel– goddess and I can’t imagine going to anyone else.
I have red and copper hair (sometimes an ombré), which can be difficult to execute. But not for Emily! I also have loads of gray hair (since high school) and to make things even more complicated, different parts of my hair take color differently. We added purple to my ends which can get tricky because copper and purple don’t play well together.
I know I am in good hands because Emily always brings her A game.
***My color combo can only be properly done by someone well seasoned, like Emily. My seamlessly gorgeous color gets compliments daily.

Wow. The whole staff here is amazing! Emily did a beautiful braided updo for my wedding last week without even a trial run and it turned out stunning! They were also able to make all of my bridesmaids look fantastic on a very short amount of time.
I had a difficult time finding a salon I felt comfortable with since I live in Houston and didn’t have a chance to meet with a lot of vendors beforehand, but they really made the morning of my wedding an easy and peaceful experience. Everyone here is incredibly helpful and talented. And if you’re looking for a make-​up artist, definitely request Nisa Nicole!
I had my wedding at Mercury Hall and Path was only a couple blocks away so it was also very convenient! Thank you so much!

Still impressed with Deva Curl & what I had learned from Ashleigh. I never dreamed that I could be a «wash n’ wear» type of girl, but I can be if I use DC product line @ home-​never thought I would be able to wash and go without 1^st using 100’s of styling tools/​products bf leaving home.
The waves almost turn out as AB-​FAB as when Ashleigh gave me the first DC Shampoo/​Style. The amount of «scrunching» will very much control the tightness of the waves, at least for me that’s the case.
Even if you have a just a natural slight wave to your hair, these products will amplify waves/​curls in the best way. I do strongly suggest having the professional Deva Curl treatment & personally I suggest Ashleigh bc she talked me thru every single step of the process, etc. which made it easier to achieve this look at home. BTW, DC is totally safe for color-​treated hair.

Saw the reviews and thought I’d take a chance… My hair was super draby, lifeless, dry, dull… Overall yucky!
I scheduled an appt with Kathryn for a cut and color, but I went in not knowing what I wanted at all. Kathryn spent a lot of time with me discussing the different coloring options… Highlights, ombré, and balayage. She showed me pictures and narrowed down what color I wanted and what style. Once we figured it out, she got to work and the end result is by far the best my hair has ever looked! Also, she spent the time discussing my hair type and recommended some products but did not push any products on me. And finally when she styled my hair, she showed me how I can recreate the style at home.
Love the experience and highly recommend Kathryn!!!

I booked Kathryn randomly, as I live around the corner and have had good experiences with Path in the past — and I am so glad I did. She is an expert in style and techniques for wavy and curly hair and she really paid attention to my hair as she cut it, looking at how each part would fall and respond before cutting the next section.
If you have curly hair, or wavy hair or frizzy hair that is curly in some parts and straight in others, I can’t recommend Kathryn highly enough.

I am super upset with the haircut I got the other day. I just needed a trim and to freshen up my layers.
I have a wonderful hair cutting artist in Dallas, but I can’t drive up there all the time. I really need to find someone who I can trust where I live. I’m still looking.
I came in with my hair emphasizing it’s natural wavy texture. Brought some pictures ready on my phone. I had a pintrest with a couple of things I like… Kathryn seemed on board… It did not translate at all. I’m pretty devastated with it.
The bottom is uneven. The «layers» that are in there are random strands cut shorter than the rest. The front of my hair is a straight, diagonal line from my face to the outside of my hair. It’s super pouffy and has this terrible triangle shape to it. No blending. Nothing has any body in it. It’s just. A heavy mass on the back of my neck. Then she curled it, or rather, burnt it, and I got to bask in that terrible smell for the rest of the day.
Getting home from a haircut, one of the last things you want your boyfriend-​who-​notices-​nothing to point out is how burnt your hair smells.
The cut is just so bad. I used to be able to walk out of the house without having to really do anything with my hair. I could scrunch it or comb it straight and it would look alright. Now I’m super self-​conscious about it and have to put it up just to get it off me. Its even more upsetting being back at square one and now need to find someone to fix this.

I got a haircut and balayage highlights from Bianca today, who spent almost 4 hours on my hair! It was worth every minute though, because I love it. She is talented, personable and patient. She assured me that it wouldn’t take this long in the future, it’s just the first time that takes long… The maintenance for balayage is super easy though, and you don’t have to get the roots touched up as frequently as you would with regular highlights… and being a mom of two with a busy schedule, that’s exactly what I want– easy to maintain, and a more subtle look. I am super picky about how I want my cut and color to look, but she listened to what I wanted and delivered it to a T! It’s rare for me to find someone like that. I’m so glad I found this place!
