Paladin Automotive

I felt the need to repost this, I must let others know this guy is crazy. This happened a while ago. He would not even answer my better business complaint. I am sure he will call my work again, but I must keep this out there.
Now I find out the the owner, Andy, called my place of business and stated I came up there in a company truck and threatened him and his place of business if I did not get my money, he stated to my work I recieved $ 280 instead of the $ 210. He even used fowel language to my place of work when he talked to them. TWICE, lol.
1^st, I have no access to a company truck
2^nd, we have security cameras to verify this,
3^rd, I never threatened him or his building, nor did I use any negitive language, I only told him I would send him to court and get money out of him that way.
4^th, my place of work know how I am after 4 years here and I am not that kind of person.
5^th, I already had the below statement that matched word for word everything I told them. My work already had a hard copy and did not tell me until I talked to them first.
This guy actually lied to my place of work and made false statements to them. If you want to risk it, good luck to you. My impression of this guy is he is CRAZY.
The following is my original statement I posted on 9−11−12
First of all, the only reason people here put posting on here is to recieve the $ 40 off of labor charge he tells you about. So Don’t put to much stock in the recommends. I took my car in for a electrical problem, they had it for 4 hours in evening, they said it was the battery. I told them to change it. I called the next day @ 11am. The mech. had no idea about battery. I told them I already gave ok to change and I needed to know as I have a long trip to make and needed the car. I called later and they said the car was completed. That evening drove to south Texas and it broke down, for an ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. Had to pay for 2 towing and another shop to change alternator. Next mechanic assured me if they checked, they would have seen alternator was bad. The first morning it failed in South Texas, I called Paladin, they said if I buy another battery, just bring them the battery they sold me and I would get my $ 320 back. I bought another battery on their word. I could have just charged it but that would have taken longer and I needed to try to get it to another shop with out towing. I got back to Austin and took the battery back. He only offered me $ 120 for the battery. We got into it. He later said he would do me a favor and give me $ 150 and asked me if I new what giving me $ 320 would do to his shop. I told him I did not care, I also have a family. I informed him I would take $ 210 for the battery and I would go and not do any of these letters. I just wanted to recoup some money and said what I had to in order to get something back. He agreed. Of course he only had $ 204 so that tells me he never had any intension of giving me my money due to the fact I told him I was coming buy there and he never told me anything about it. He never admitted to doing anything wrong even thou it had the same problem on the same day. I should have known, this guy wears cut up wife beater shirts everyday. DO NOT GO THERE. He will talk you into high dollar parts to make more money. DO NOT GO THERE, DO NOT GO THERE, DO NOT GO THERE. He will deny everything he does wrong and blame you.
OH YES, I NEVER FORGET

We called around for the lowest price to fix our minivan and Andy fixed it in half the cost of 5 different car places we called. Andy was extremely honest on what really needed to be fixed. It is hard finding someone who will not rip you off and lie so we are so happy that we chose Paladin Automotive. We have since moved to Arizona and are now looking for an honest repair shop like Paladin.

We took our 91 Honda Civic and Andy and his crew had it fixed in no time. We dropped it off Friday and had it by Monday –and actually would have had it sooner if we’d committed to getting the work done right away.
On a personal note, as a female I really appreciated Andy giving me the breakdown of the work he did in a very informative, straightforward way. I’ve often hesitated to deal with car problems and mechanics (usually pawning it off on my boyfriend) because I get the sense I’m being talked down to or I may get hosed because I don’t know anything about cars. I did not feel that way at all with Andy and he made sure to let me know I could call him anytime if I had any problems at all.
Before I left, they checked one last thing that I had forgot to mention and Andy told me to let him know if I experienced any more problems. He also told me a few other repairs to keep in mind in the near future since my car is an oldie.
The whole experience felt very honest and upfront. I won’t hesitate to give him a call and take care of any car problems myself after this experience.

I’ve known Andy for 4 years and he continues to show integrity, wisdom and a great sense of humor when he repairs my car. He has worked on my Saab 9000 (now sold), my Grand Caravan with 150K miles and my Mercedes E320. He diagnoses quickly, he gives you the good or bad news (without any nonsense), and he stands by his repairs. He is so good, as a matter of fact, that I’m willing to drive from Circle C up to Howard Lane on a regular basis. I’m either nuts or… Yes, I already said he was good.

5 Super bright, shiny stars!!! Andy is FABULOUS! I had a bad a/​c and a brand new baby last summer & Andy took my problem very seriously! He had to go out of town for a family emergency but, very graciously, stopped by a nearby AutoZone & paid for some coolant to hold me over for the few days he was gone. It was the first time I had ever dealt with him so it was a huge deal — he trusted me, therefore I trusted him. He fixed my car immediately when he got back in town and for super cheap! He really helped me out! Then he worked on my husband’s car. He had been out of an a/​c for 8+ years because a different body shop quoted us $ 800! Andy fixed it in about 45 minutes for $ 75! AMAZING! We never trust anyone else with our cars!

I needed motor mounts replaced on my car and found Paladin Automotive through a local advertisement. After talking with Andy on the phone I decided to give him a shot and I must say I was very impressed. Finding a good, dependable and honest mechanic can be difficult, but I must say this was a very positive experience. The price was very fair and they had my car back to me quickly. Since that initial visit, I have returned to have them do a brake job and repair an A/​C leak and it went extremely smooth. If you are looking for a good mechanic, I strongly encourage you to give Andy a call.

If you are like me and don’t know much about fixing cars, then here is a mechanic for you. He always shoots straight with me and doesn’t take advantage of the fact that i know nothing about fixing cars, unlike my past experiences which were, well, as soon as the mechanic could tell i didn’t really know what he was talking about all sorts of things suddenly needed to be repaired or replaced. Not at Paladin, where real Paladins work. I love honesty, and I get it here. Andy, the owner, is always willing to explain to me what is going on with my car and what he needs to do to fix it, and he has some great guys working with him. Great, honest, reliable service at a honest, reasonable price. The peace of mind i get knowing that i have not been a smuck for another dishonest mechanic, and the fact that i drive my car away and it really is fixed, it such a good feeling that i can’t recommend this shop to enough people. Even if you know all about cars, this is the shop for you as it is the down home style of mechanic shop that i always wanted to be able to bring my car into.
