P. Terry’s The Restaurant I went to was P. Terry’s, it is at 4228 W. William Cannon Dr. As you enter P. Terry’s you will see that the walls are all painted red and blue. You will also see several tables to sit at outside and inside and drink machine in the corner. It is lovely inside, because it’s nice and warm. There are big windows and tables that are pushed against the wall. At the end of the room, there is a counter that order at. Above the counter, there is a big menu on the wall. Here they serve hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken burgers, and veggie burgers. They also have amazing lemonade and shakes. The ingredients are fresh, and yummy and the food is cheap. The most expensive thing cost five dollars and the cheapest thing cost two dollars. It was cheap, but that did not mean the service was bad. In fact, the service is great, and they never mess up my order. They also make your food in about three to five minutes. I would recommend you go to P. Terry’s. It is a high-quality fast-food restaurant and they never mess up my order. If you like burgers and good fries this is the place for you. It has a 4-star rating on Unilocal

I love P. Terry’s. They serve my favorite fries and the burgers are great. Best fast food/burger stand in Austin.

These guys just do it right. Fast, great burgers, friendly service… They were very busy today but they didn’t miss a beat. The place is always clean. I need to remember to eat here more often.

Its convenient on my days off from cooking. Veggie burger is the best item on menu and the fries as well. The size of burger could be a bit bigger or maybe im just use to whataburger sizes.

I’m a fan of P Terry for fast food. The price is right, the portion on the fries are generous, but the size of the burger does lack. I’m a huge fan of the veggie burger. It’s the only place I know I can grab a veggie burger from a drive-thru. The service is always great!

P Terry’s is not the best burger in Austin but for the price and speed it might be the best bang for your buck! My kids love their burgers and/or grilled cheese sandwiches for a quick meal heading home after work/school.

I’ve only been there 3 before the food was cold and gross both times, and the staffed seemed uninterested in helping me. I gave it 2 stars and not 1 because of how quickly I got my food. I gave up on trying it.

P. Terry’s is the best fast food burger in town. Period. BUT… have you ever heard you are only as strong as your weakest link? Well in the P. Terry’s chain this is the weakest link and its not even close. I have had more incorrect orders from this location than all other locations combined and honestly it comes down to management here. Numerous times I have been here and no employee looks like they are over 25 behind the counter/kitchen. Due to this the service and quality are not up to my expectations from P. Terry’s. P. Terry’s is a solid product but I am quickly learning that I should just head to S. Congress or S Lamar before this location.

The veggie burgers are cheap and delicious! They are apparently made fresh daily — not too mushy and very flavorful. The only thing I didn’t like were the fries. I’m not into natural cut… give me McD’s or steak fries instead! It’s pretty random, but they have good banana bread. Huge, thick slice for only a couple bucks. No idea what the inside is like, but drive-thru service was super fast and friendly.

Always good, but the entrance and exit to and from the street can be crowded, but that is not their fault. The burgers are cooked as you order and they have jalapenos if you wish. The food does not just sit under a warming light.

The double cheeseburger, on a wheat bun with jalapeños and all the other fixings is so delicious. These guys consistently deliver a quality product and I’m rarely disappointed if ever. They also make one of the best chocolate chip oatmeal cookies in town. You won’t hate yourself for ordering one of their tasty shakes either.

Best quality meat in a fast food burger ever!!! I love that they’ll wrap it in lettuce for me as well! Totally worth trying if you’re looking for fast but delicious food while funning around austin!

The burgers and fries get all 3 stars. Idk what they do but they do it well. The reason it’s only 3 stars is because the place is run by teenagers. So you know, not too clean inside, sometimes you get attitude, and the kids look overworked and stressed. I think maybe they don’t treat their employees so well so that sucks. But I keep coming back cuz the food is good.

P Terry’s is freakin good! Their quality is awesome! This location is cool too because they have inside seating as an option. All their ingredients are fresh. Their fries are hand cut and freshly made right there — not frozen! P Terry’s is not hiding anything and this gives me a peace of mind when eating their food! The burger itself is so good and cheesy. It is juicy and simply delicious. The fries here are a little different than most places, but I am definitely a fan. They taste like they are fried in a good oil. I like that they have the skins too. Oh and their fresh squeezed lemonade is super delicious and worth getting!

I’ve had a lot of burgers in my life, but none of them are as incredible as the burgers that they make at P. Terry’s. The burgers are expertly seasoned and perfectly juicy. The bun that the burger is served on is the perfect level of softness, and the special sauce is delicious. Their fries are also really tasty, though not as crispy as I would like, but the remarkable burgers more than make up for that. All this amazingness while costing only $ 3.95 for a double cheeseburger? Only at P. Terry’s.

I really don’t see the appeal of this place? :((( Order was a little slow(granted it was busy) Their burgers are really small in terms of portion size, but they’re also bland??? Fries are good though — they’re natural cut and come in a paper cone basket. BOTTOMLINE: Go to In N Out or Five Guys or Whataburger… there are just too many fast food restaurants to compete with, and this one doesn’t stand out at all.

Freddie’s is one block away. Keep driving! I don’t care for the milk shakes at P. Terry’s. Pretty store front. French fries are really yummy!

It was clean but tight and slow for a burger stand. Plus the screwed up the order and the person at the register didn’t care that much about getting it right

No-fuss, good burgers, hand cut fries, decent prices. That’s all I care about in burger joints and P. Terry’s definitely delivered. I’m a huge fan of In-n-Out and this was a very close contender to my favorite. i love that their fries come in a little paper cone basket and that their menu offers veggie and chicken options as well(not that i would go for those — just saying it’s nice to have options). the next time i come by(which i promise i will) I’ll have to try one of their breakfast options(it’s intriguing to me that a burger place sells banana bread) and their milkshake… i wonder if it will bring the boys to the yard…

I don’t know what took me so long to realize that P. Terry’s is the best fast food burger in Austin. Locally owned and operated, these burger stands truly provide the community with the best thing they possibly can… HAMBURGERS! You can’t get much more American than selling hamburgers in the capital city of a state that defines America. The burgers are solid and and the cheeseburgers are radical, but I can go with or without the special sauce. It adds a good amount of moisture to the burger, but sometimes it’s a bit runny for my liking and lately I’ve been skipping it completely. The fries are good, but I wish they were more well done. I haven’t asked to see if they’ll do it. So maybe I’m the only person getting in the way of my crispy potato desires. Nothing here will blow you away. The setup is simple and the food is good. P. Terry’s compares to Mighty Fine and In-N-Out, yet the food is definitely better here and the architecture is more appealing. Let’s be real, In-N-Out is only good on the West Coast and their quality deteriorates the further inland they go. All 3 joints pay their employees well, they’re all fast, and the food quality is pretty good(generally speaking) all around. So where does P. Terry’s truly shine and earn that 5th star? I have searched the web and all over this restaurant and I can’t find a pro-Christian agenda here! There’s no bible verse or «john 3:16» printed slyly on the cups. I just love it! From the bottom of my cold cold cold cold cold atheist, carnivorous heart, thanks for practicing great food safety by not mixing Jesus with my meat! You have my business forever!

Overall: –This location has an indoor seating area –Two-lane, but still relatively slow drive thru –Have to request onions & pickles –Ordering a combo gets you a $ 0.40 discount, so you’re free to order any drink(including shakes) that you want –Love that lettuce and tomatoes are always cold and crisp –Super polite and accommodating staff –Prices are slightly higher than Whataburger, but worth it –Great fresh-squeezed lemonade, very sweet but also very lemony Beef burger: –Delicious, but rivaled by the chicken burger –The patties are on the thicker side, so I’ve always found doubles to be excessive Chicken burger: –Covered in cheese and special sauce, just as good as beef –Moist, tender, juicy and best chicken burger I’ve found in ATX Veggie burger: –Surprisingly awful – tough, dense and dry –Very thin patty, detracting even further Fries: –Very thin, natural cut fries that only stay crispy the second they are out of the fryer –If I’m eating in, I’ll order them, but if I’m doing to go, they’re usually a soggy mess by the time I get to my destination –Huge portions Shakes: –Chocolate is best, but ask for double chocolate(I usually don’t get charged) –Ask for them«upside down» because the chocolate sauce at the bottom doesn’t get mixed in well with their machine
