Nosh & Bevvy

Awesome food, awesome service, keep it quiet, keep it hid. They took over an Indian restaurant and bought the curry recipe = awesome curry. Baby Blues Bar was in the same complex and owned by the same people but apparently they migrated here after ‘Star of India’ left.
That’s all second hand info, but either way, good shit! Love the $ 2 lone star tall boys and quiet atmosphere. Awesome after the overcrowded tedium of the rest of the cool bars in Austin.

Cheaper drinks. Unassuming place with surprisingly good food. More of a bar than restaurant feel. If they had more options I’d be there more. Get the bubbles and squeak and add a banger.

Get the fish & chips! Great for service folks who know the real deal. High maintenance folks, please stay away as y’all prob need corporate dollars to keep ya pleased: P

Traveling on business and decided to give this new place a try. Dynamite fried pickles and Anne the bartender knows everybody’s name. :) Even drifting road warriors like me can walk in and feel like this is your favorite neighborhood bar.

I went there tonight with a coworker after a 12 hour day of work looking to decompress with a few beers. I seen there crappy draft selection of about 5 beers and decided on the coffee porter. The bartender gives great head as my beer once settled was 85% full. I asked for my beer to be topped off and he begrudgingly accepted my request after arguing with me. I was met be a coworker who joined me and was refused service because he’s not a fast tallker. Thomas the bartender (guy with Dorothy Hamil haircut, the short and sassy look) thought he was drunk. I assured him we just got off work and suffered a stroke a few years back. My coworker than asked for a Coke and was refused. This bartender is a real piece of work and is ripping off his patrons by giving huge head. I seen him pour a draft for some girls that was 20% head. No wonder why the 6 ppl in there on a Sat night were drinking out of cans. Go down the road a piece to Pinthouse Pizza ! Friendly folks with GREAT beer and pizza. This place is dark and filthy dump. I hope the new place that opens once this dump goes out of business will be a quality establishment with quality employees.

Really glad what Baby Blues & Sarovar turned into. Great laid back environment. Not pretentious at all. Great friendly bar staff, & my god… the best food!!! I had the cheese burger: juicy, delicious, yummy little nugget!!! with waffle fries — freaking awesome. My husband had the shepherd’s pie & said it was the best he had ever had. Seriously, go here! There’s plenty of games to play: pool, darts, etc. Bathrooms are clean, and all around it’s a great environment.

Great spot with full bar plus better than usual food. The fish & chips is authentic and the bacon mac & cheese is evil in the best way. Glad we found this place!

What used to be an awesome local dive bar has had a complete makeover into an English Kitchen and Bar. Nosh & Bevvy is huge but still stays true to it’s roots of Baby Blues so it’s the best of both worlds. There is tons of seating, darts, ping-​pong, a pool table and arcade games. Drink prices are always really cheap and they have a killer happy hour too. I haven’t had a chance to try out the food yet, but it looks delicious, I can’t wait to give it a try.
