History

Established in 1989.

National Procedures Institute was founded by John L. Pfenninger in 1989 to teach out-​patient diagnostic & therapeutic procedural skills to primary care physicians. NPI is currently a joint venture of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.
