Established in 2010.

After 25 years in the California classic car scene, Murph has brought his Golden State style of chops and traditional style to Austin. Murpho’s Rods and Customs converted a service station build in 1941 into a one stop lifestyle shop in South Austin. The shop is owned and operated by Murph Murphy and Liana Stevens, in which they decided to combined Murph’s talents for custom car building and restoration with Liana’s experience in the apparel industry to build a complete lifestyle shop dedicated to the classic car scene and hot rod lifestyle.

Wrenching wasn’t in his «blood» as they say. There was no late nights with pops in the family garage changing oil to the glow of a single light bulb. Still, old grease and steel ran through his veins fueled by metal shop in high school and working at gas station watching guys drive by in their coveted cars. Through years of work, trials and tribulations, success and failure he has honed his craft to the consummation of aptitude you witness now.
