Mr. Sharky’s Car Wash

My go to car wash! I usually use the automatic car wash to save time and boy does it! They guys are always right there to do the payment for you and pre wash the car. Prices are fair and there’s always someone at the end to help dry!
the vacuums are free!

Love this place. Use my car for business. Have to keep it clean. $ 30 a month unlimited washes! Great service. Free vacuums.

Always do a really good job on the car wash. You get great service for really cheap. Free vacuums are an added bonus

I’m on a monthly wash package and I feel like it’s a good value. Downside, the dryer. It barely runs and leaves most of the drying to attendants. A spot free rinse is useless once you start using a drying towel specially when it’s dirty leaving the exterior a mess. More air time or clean towels after every car.

First, I want to say that I absolutely love the idea behind Mr. Sharky’s dog wash. However, there are a few things they could improve on that would make me a loyal customer so long as I’m living in the greater Austin area.
1) a pause setting for those that are needing to use specialty shampoos. While Mr. Sharky’s has a nice variety of pleasant smelling shampoos, even a «veterinary formula» (an ingredient list would be fantastic!), I opted to use my own for my girl’s sensitive skin. But that led to a lot of wasted time while I used her shampoo since I couldn’t pause the timer.
2) adjustable water pressure and temperature. One tub was pushing cold, the other tub was pushing hot and neither had quite enough pressure.
More specific about out experience: I have two 50+ pound dogs that I made 2 trips to get bathed, one each visit, because well, I’m not crazy. The first time I used the tub furthest from the door and that one worked really well minus the colder water temperature. On my second dog/​visit, we used the tub closest to the door and had a few issues. The water pressure was inconsistent and the temperature was pushing being too hot. The oatmeal shampoo, which I used on my first dog/​visit/​furthest tub, was either was not connected properly on this tub or they were out of it and put the veterinary formula in it’s place. Lastly, the dryers did not blow air like they did on the other tub. When I selected both dryer settings, you could hear the dryer working from behind the brick wall but nothing was coming out of the hose.
I bathe my dogs twice a month and would be willing to cone back to give Mr. Sharky’s another shot. But if I have similar issues, it might be worth it to fish the dog hair out of my bath tub at home.

The more I looked at my car the dirtier it looked. I am updating my review to one star

UPDATE!
I got a message from the management explaining the charge. I was told it was just a pending charge and my true charge would appear after 2 – 3 business days. He was even cool enough to offer a free towel to dry off my 4runner after the wash.
It says a lot when they go out of their way to rectify the situation.

Don’t use if you don’t have cash or change. Minimum charge on your card is $ 10.
Seriously only used for 2 minutes and 36 seconds!

This place is a rip off, went in to just rinse some bird poop off my car. Used the self clean area with my credit card. Ended up charging me $ 10
One of the owners contacted me in an attempt to make the situation better. Got to give him credit for that!

They have FREE vacuums and a dog washing station!!! This is my favorite place to wash my car and on my lazy days, the guys at the drive-​thru wash do a great job as well! They also offer monthly wash packages which are a great deal!

I brought my dog in for a quick wash. I live in an apartment and did not want to wash my large dog in my tub and it was too cold to wash him outside. I have used this place a few times before and always found it clean and convenient. I can get in and out with a clean dog for $ 10! This time when I went in an attendant stopped me an offered to run the water until it got warm so that I wouldn’t have to waste my money or time doing so. He let me know that on cold days if you wave down an attendant they will happily run warm water for you before you have to pay. This is my go to place when I need to get my dog clean without having to make a ’”spa day” out of it. Great bang for your buck!

Dog Wash: I don’t know how reviewers found this place clean it’s nearly impossible for it to be unless you are the first person there in the morning and maybe not even then.
I got there and there was wet white hair in the tub — tons of it and dark hair and mud up to knee level on the walls around the one working tub.
I looked around for a trash can and there was not one inside… (And it’s not a good idea to leave a dog on a choke tied to a tub. Could hang themselves before anyone could get back inside to use the trash can outside.). I did my best to clean it up holding my dogs leash — no ties or hooks for leashed dogs — and with the muddy floors I didn’t want him laying down and getting worse!
It cost me $ 8.00 just to disinfect and clean the tub and ramp before putting my dog in the tub.
The water pressure was poor and the water was to hot for a dog’s alkaline skin.
The dryer was anemic on the ‘super’ setting and I had to disinfect the end of it since the previous user left it on the floor in the mud.
As I was leaving the attendant came in to clean armed with one glove and a pissy attitude.
No mop, no bucket, just a glove. He sprayed disinfectant on the walls and tub using the dog wash sprayer.
With the holed floor covers there is no way that place will be clean in the morning.
After it was a said and done I spent $ 40.00 and left with a wet did I question how clean he is.…
When I compare that to $ 16 at other self service dog wash places this was not a good value or experience.

I went Saturday, 1÷11÷14, to wash all of the yuck off of my car. The manual stalls were packed and I didn’t want to wait, so I used the drive through. I picked the $ 11 wash and was very happy with it. The guys were super friendly and pre-​washed the car prior to it going through and then hand dried it off once it was done. It rained Saturday night so I just took the car back to get re-​washed since it was within 48 hrs. This location is the only one that I know of that has a 48 hr rain guarantee. I normally go to the carwash on S. 1^st, but this one gets my business from here on out.

Brought my two big dogs to try out the self serve dog wash, what a wonderful experience! The staff were very friendly and explained how it worked, although the set up was already very intuitive and easy to use. The dog wash was very clean and sanitary, beats washing the dogs outside at home any day. Just click through the settings just like the car wash… soap, rinse, dry. If you need to wash the car, double bonus that it’s all in the same place. For the price can’t be beat!

I love this place. Convenient hours, very friendly/​helpful staff, I can get in & out in no time at all, and the hand-​drying by employees is a nice touch for $ 7… and as everyone mentioned, the free vacuums rock! Haven’t tried the dog washing station yet but I’m intrigued… really helpful for those of us with rather large canine companions. I have recently moved north/​central and am embarrassed to say that I still come down here to get my car washed… I just like it here :)

Free vacuuming? Wow. I had two employees volunteer to shampoo and vacuum out my whole car because they weren’t busy. He even used his employee key to start the car wash up to wash out a particularly deep stain from one of my floormats (saved me another few dollars.) Shampoo was only $ 2.50. I was in and out in 7 minutes. Tipped graciously and will return!

I use this car wash frequently and it is my favorite car wash to use. The staff is friendly and always happy to help and give me change when I only have a $ 20 bill on hand. What’s even better is they now have a dog wash at this location!!! Oh yeah! Now I can bring my dogs along for a wash along with the dog mobile ! My last visit here there was also a snow cone trailer (sweet Caroline’s) on the premises which is another plus. What more can you ask for?

Free vacuums, takes credit cards in the bay, not much more you could ask for. I took one star off because I mainly use the drive-​thru wash and the prices went up and they no longer offer the $ 5 option without air dry. The workers here who hand dry your car is nice to have also.

I have to say with the recent change to free vacuums, this place is really great. I usually wash the car myself there since I can do it easily for under $ 3.50. The fact that they take credit cards and it only charges you by time used is great. Some places that take credit cards will charge a minimum like $ 3.50 and then add-​on times are $ 1 extra. There is a minimum, but it’s not high. I believe it’s around $ 1.75. Did I mention free vacuums? :-)

Good wash. I liked it better when it was part of the Palms Wash on William Cannon. I like the wash though and worth the money. If they had people drying the cars and free vacuum that would be even better.

Was in a hurry I knew h2o would be busy on a saterday morning so I decided to go at it myself. The facility is next to a oreilys and a auto zone, so you can get supplies easily. The bays are kept up with reasonably well, the big bonus is that all the bays take credit cards. To bad the vacuums don’t.
