I love Mr. Cool Radiator it’s the best place to take a leak

These guys are stunningly terrible. I dropped off a motorcycle gas tank with some rust inside to be cleaned and sealed, pretty straight forward. The guy in charge told me that it would be a maximum of 2 weeks to have done, but likely only two or three days. 2 MONTHS later after multiple phone calls with the answer «it just came out of such and such process» and will be done later that week I called one more time today to find it had been done for a week, and got a big fat lie about how they called and didn’t reach me.
I get to the shop and find my gas tank thoroughly trashed. To be fair the guy did preface the job saying there was a possibly of some paint loss, which I was ok with, but then he went on to laugh and tell me how one of his employees had absentmindedly painted over the tank and then tried to wipe it off (streaks are still everywhere). And you know what the worst part is? They didn’t even seal the tank properly!

Don’t use them! They’re horrible. I had my fan replaced and they did such a crappy job of splicing the wires together that I’m now going to have someone else install another one because my wires were left hanging and are now melted!!!
Waste of money and waste of time!
Use anyone else but these guys

There is insanely racist ephemera posted in the office. If we’d noticed the horribly hateful, xenophobic & disgusting garbage before we’d left when we first dropped off our radiator, we would have taken it elsewhere. That alone would warrant zero stars, but additionally, they took way longer to repair our radiator than estimated.

I restore antique cars for a living. I have gone to Mr Cool several times in the last ten years. The last time I went there, I had a radiator repaired for a 55 Buick I am working on for a customer who shipped their car from California to me because of my reputation. After spending thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours, I was ready to fill the car with fluids and go on a test drive. Radiator fluid was pouring out of the radiator. I took it to another shop to see if they could fix it quicker than the month I had it with Mr. Cool. He called me and said that the tank had just been painted and had not been rodded out like Mr Cool claimed.
They charged me $ 100 to buff my radiator tank (which I hadn’t asked them to do), and it took them a month. Yes, I have the receipt.
They are outright thieves. Period.
I am losing money because I had to pull the radiator out and take it to another shop. I can’t charge my customer for the crap that Mr Cool did, because they didn’t do anything.

I took my car there to have a new radiator installed. It was not installed properly and all the radiator fluid came out of my car and I had to have my car towed to another shop to get it fixed right. I am so disappointed in them and so is my car.

I took my BMW to Mr Cool to see if they could figure out if I had a blown head gasket or if they could find some cooling problem. Sadly, they couldn’t find any cooling problem and said likely a blown head gasket. They wouldn’t take any money, even though I offered. I told them I’d give them a good review though so here it is!

Wow! When your car breaks down and you are already stressed and anxious, stop worrying! This is THE place to go! We received quick, educated and kind service on our radiator replacement. Not only did we receive great service and a nice follow up call, but it was completely affordable. In my experience quick, affordable and reliable auto maintenance does not go together; So this was a more than welcome surprise.
We are so satisfied and have already told all of our friends and family to go here for their radiator needs. Thank you Mr. Cool!

i dropped a gas tank that was complete and i got it back with out the sending unit or fittings. and it also took a month and a half longer than i was told when i dropped it off. but the price was exactly what i was told and would have been ok if it didnt cost me three times as much to find what they lost

I went in thinking my radiator was bad because a dumb mechanic at another shop told me it was and wanted to charge me close to $ 600.00 to fix it and when I got to Mr. Cool he immediately knew that it was not my radiator but my water pump. He had my car fixed in about an hour and I was on my way. The service is great, he and his daughter are very friendly. It feels good to know that their are good, honest mechanics still out their. Thank you, Mr. Cool!

I arrived at 10 AM and they were ready to go, as promised by phone.
Chris did a great job isolating the problem and working patiently with my hot engine in the cold rain.
He quickly got me back on the road and I was back to work before noon.

This guy is the best. I keep an old Ford Explorer that’s been here twice, to replace a cracked radiator and then a thermostat with its housing. Each time Mr. Cool Radiator (his real name is Jay) finished the job within a day, charged me half the price my dealer and Pep Boys wanted, and proved not everyone doing auto-​repair are scum-​sucking bottom-​feeders.
I’m always curious how people wind up doing what they do – but the bottom line is if they’re good at it, and treat you right, and you recommend them to everyone, then they’re in the right business.
