Well about a week ago this would have been a 4 star review but how ridiculous I feel now that I have read reviews from everyone with my same dissatisfaction. I should have known that this was not a good deal when the first housekeeper«Brenda» came and basically left my house the same way it was when I left for work. I thought Marilyn was great because she actually came and inspected the house and sent someone new the next day. She promised not to send that particular housekeeper again and for the next couple months everything was great with«Sara.» So much so I recommended my coworker to try her. About 2 weeks ago I came home to a house that did not feel, look or smell clean. I called Marilyn to express my displeasure and she then tells me that«Sara» was sick and she sent«Brenda» who coincidentally was the same person she was instructed to NEVER send to my home again. Fast forward to last Thursday I come home to find one of my Michael Kors purses was missing and so was a blank check. The company owner tells me that«Sara» reported that I did not leave payment only a blank check. Long story short I cancelled both checks and put out a fraud alert. I tried to work out something with the owner Jerry West and his wife but their only concern seemed to be that maybe I was making this whole thing up and they cant jus«shell out money without proof». So I filed a police report, a BBB complaint and a property claim with my insurance. Oh well… I just found out that they dont even have insurance so good luck to them!

Same thing happened to me as John H. Two tweakers showed up(late) — I paid them cash(including a tip) and left. I got a text(no phone calls returned) within 10 minutes saying that it was dirty and would need more money. The ad clearly said«$ 75ANYSIZEHOMEDEEPCLEANED, NOTIMELIMIT-CALLNOW! Openings!!!(Austin & Surrounding Areas)» When I contested that I got a bizarre, judgmental text. I hired them because of the no time limit and the Deep Clean ad. I had everything moved out of my student 1 bedroom so they could do their work easier. DONOTUSE!!! I filed a BBB complaint and also reported Marilyn to the Austin Police Department(as well as this Unilocal review). Very adamant about warning others of her dishonesty and shady business practices. Next resort is a civil lawsuit…

Their craigslist ad says $ 75 flat We will Deep Clean ANYSIZE house, condo, duplex or apartment for just… $ 75FLAT!!! etc. etc. When I scheduled the visit I was told 75 for 4 hours and they pushed me for 8 hours at $ 125. I told them 4 hours should be fine since it’s an empty house(moving out) The cleaners show up an hour late and halfway in they tell me that«The boss says it’s $ 75 for two hours and $ 25 each additional hour» Total bait and switch scam! Now I’m left finishing up myself. STAYFARAWAY!

Marilyn contacted me yesterday and said that the money was mailed back to her PO Box. I told her that I would update my review if she could prove to me that she wasn’t lying and had actually sent it out last Wednesday. How? Simple: send me the original postmarked envelope. USPS doesn’t lie. She couldn’t do that(duh, because it was a lie!), and then tried to bribe me. She offered to give me two months of free service if I took down this review. Um, no. I’m not going compromise my integrity for house cleaning! Feel free to refer to the texts that I took screenshots of. After I declined her bribes, I woke up this morning to a text where she threatened to find my place of employment and get me fired. Crazy much? I have also taken a screenshot of this, and I’m now spending my Sunday talking to cops. NEGATIVEFIVEHUNDREDMILLIONSTARS. Edit: The photos have been removed. They conflicted with Unilocal’s Photo Guidelines because they showcased a «personal experience.»
