I quite like this salon, but my experience may not be generalizable for everyone. You see, I have naturally red, curly hair, and I don’t require too much from a hair stylist. I’ve never dyed it, and I don’t experiment with crazy cuts and styles. I wage a constant, daily battle with frizzies, but my biggest challenge is usually finding a stylist who doesn’t cut an extra few inches off. Leanne fits the bill nicely. So far, I’ve visited this salon twice for a basic trim and touch-ups to my layers. Leanne greets me with a smile and an offer of water, beer, or wine. She’s almost excessively friendly, and I always feel like I’m in capable hands when she brings her scissors near my head. There’s no denying that she’s very chatty, but I find this sort of distraction very comforting when a stranger is washing my hair. Leanne also cuts my boyfriend’s hair, and she does a great job. He has cowlicks that can look pretty bad if they’re styled incorrectly, but he’s never had a bad haircut at Miracles. It costs $ 80 for both of us to get a wash and cut, which is a pretty decent price. It isn’t exactly the $ 5 my college friend would charge for a trim in her dorm room, but she also couldn’t get me beer. Priorities, people. I should also note that Leanne is a manicurist as well, but I’ve never had her paint my nails, since I enjoy doing that myself. I’ve browsed through her colors, though(almost all OPI). She doesn’t have a huge selection outside of the standard pinks and things, but if you don’t want anything too unconventional, it might be worth giving her a try. Her own nails are always lovely, which I take to be a good sign. Don’t be put off by the residential address. Leanne may treat you like a guest in her home, but only if that guest left with a very spiffy haircut.
