This store is fantastic Went with my wife a couple of times planning to do some garden work and landscaping in our place, he was so attentive to our needs, he explained everything he had to say about all the Vietnamese Pottery We had a excellent time at Miguels and I would Highly recommend it to anybody who is having gardening or landscaping ideas. Every time we want a nice gift for the home, we drop in to Miguel’s. Gorgeous, unique talavera for the kitchen or décor, and an amazing selection of pots. You will find something beautiful here.

Love this place! There is such a wide variety of pottery and plants. I came in looking for a small, short, and wide pot for my succulent and there was a great section of Mexican pots of this size with beautiful designs. Most of their terracotta pots are really large so if you’re looking for big pots, this is your place! They also have a lot of selections that are 10−50% off so the prices are pretty great for this kind of quality. The staff was also really nice and helpful and I will definitely come back here when I need more pots!

I love this place! More pottery and garden items than could fill Versailles. The owner, Miguel Martin, is not only extremely knowledgeable but will do whatever it takes to make his customers happy. If you want pottery that is made well and lasts, this is the only place to go in the Austin area.

This place has a HUGE selection of pots for indoor and outdoor, plus a very helpful staff that not only moves things to the register while you shop, but also loads it into your car and puts cardboard on the ground to make sure they don’t mess up your car or slide into each other. They have sale items from 10% — 50% all around the place, and make different shape /​size /​glaze options. There are other places with similar items, but this place is like the Natural Gardner + Lowes and Home Depot but better, and cheaper, all in one place WITH great customer service. Im sold!

Yes, like many others have said, great spot with a large selection and very good prices. If you meet the owner, he will bombard you with chat and info which some find off-​putting but I’m fine with that. Better than the jaded curmudgeon who sees customers as a bother.

I have driven past Miguel’s Imports so many times over the last 5 years, just wondering what it was like back behind those magical gates. I finally convinced my husband that we needed to go in and just have a look, if nothing else. It was everything imagined, and so much more.
The amount of things in their inventory was astonishing. From large hand made wooden Mariachi men, hanging Morrocan style lanterns, 5 foot vases, water falls, candles, and tons of authentic Mexican clay work, they seriously had everything.
What was even better than the inventory itself was the price of things. I don’t know what it’s normally like but they were having their 17 year anniversary so tons of things were 50% off. I got an amazing bamboo triple candle set that was normally $ 33 for $ 8. And the owner himself was there checking people out at the register, telling us all about the sales and his store. I am still an apartment dweller but believe you me, when I get a house, Miguel’s will help me furnish and deck out my garden,

Miguel’s has a huge selection of pottery items, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff is awesome. When I needed pots and other items for my new residence about a year ago I went to Miguel’s and found almost everything I needed without breaking the bank. The employees were helpful and attentive but not suffocating. I was very pleased with the variety they carry, including variety in color and style. I highly recommend Miguel’s.

Great selection of planters, pots, urns, waterfalls, fountains, and even some cacti and succulents. They have LOTS of this kind of stuff, and not the cheap Mexican stuff either. Solid Vietnamese pottery
Miguel is from Spain, but has no accent, and is hugely entertaining. His wife is a total sweetheart. Great people with a great store.

Need a pot, a really big pot, an absolutely gigantic pot, a planter that is actually a log carved into the shape of an alligator, a fountain, a stone ball or any décor Mexican or South American? Miguel’s has it. The largest selection of pottery (and like items) that I’ve ever seen in Austin. They have the more traditional Mexican style pottery as well as the much higher end (and very expensive) Vietnamese pottery (bright colors, cool patterns, etc). They can turn any of the Vietnamese style items into a fountain for an extra $ 35 too. Seriously, if you can’t find what you are looking for here, it likely doesn’t exist.
A really nice couple owns the place and can tell you about every piece, where it is from, how long it will last, etc. I’m guessing they have family South of the border and import all this stuff themselves. They are probably making a killing. Prices are pretty high, but they are still less than any of the other places that carry this type of stuff (Shoal Creek, Gardens, Great Outdoors, etc) and they have way more selection.
The owner told me they are planning to add a full service nursery for next season as well. Cool place.

Miguel and his wife are wonderful people and they take the time to show you what they have. We’ve watched Miguel’s career grow over the last decade and more, and are happy he’s been so successful. He has the largest selection of Vietnamese and Mexican pottery in Austin.

We’ve shopped here before and loved their selection of beautiful pots, statuary and art. We found a great chiminea this weekend, and excitedly drove it home. Turning the last corner to the house, we hit a SMALL bump and heard a weird sound. We were devastated when we discovered the pot had broken! :(We returned, knowing we had responsibility for it, but they gave us a great deal on another one, and we were still within our budget as the first was on deep discount.
They did us right and we’ll continue to happily shop there and highly recommend to others. Thanks!

I went here looking for a specific pot, and was so overwhelmed at the massive selection and great prices, that I had to go home and re-​evaluate my backyard. Amazing selection of glazed and unglazed pottery in every shape and size you could imagine.
Really awesome cactus, agave and other items as well.

Great selection of pots from bright to earthy, the usual import type pots to some surprisingly modern styles. Which was exactly what I was looking for! This place is huge and it was a little overwhelming trying to remember where the likely picks were, but the owner and staff are super helpful and hooked me up with new pots for my citrus trees. They also have lanterns, furniture and garden accessories.

This place is awesome! Reminded me of the high end stores in Acuna, Mexico, very authentic. I go there just to feel close to home (I’m from the border area). The prices and variety cannot be beat, unless you go down to the border yourself and haggle. Great, easy going customer service.

The selection here is simply staggering… different sizes, shapes, materials and styles… all priced pretty well.
They’re open odd hours, and they’re still making a lot of improvements, but if you drive by and see the massive wooden gates open, be sure to check them out.
