Metrocycle Pedicabs

We hired Metrocycle Pedicabs for our wedding, and it was a fun and «true to Austin» way to do a wedding sendoff. The pedicab ride was actually a rare moment on our wedding day where we got to just spend quality time alone together as bride and groom. We really enjoyed riding a pedicab to downtown and sharing our favorite moments from the wedding. :-)
Nathan (the owner) was easy to work with. He was the first of all the local pedicabs to provide a quote for us, and I like how his wedding pedicab was outfitted with a «Just Married» sign and white flowers. I’m sure those will look great in photos!
The rider that night was Donald, and we really enjoyed having him as our pedicab driver for the night. Super nice and friendly. Not only did he show up on time, he actually showed up 15-​minutes early just in case our exit happened earlier than expected. I’d definitely recommend Donald if he’s available!

So there I was at SxSW, needing to get back to my hotel from across town after an evening of festivities. Got a great ride from a friendly and dedicated pedaler, but it turns out my phone fell out of my pocket during the ride. Disaster! Not to worry. I set it to lost mode with my name and hotel displayed on the screen and pinged it a few times (thanks Find My Phone) and next thing you know I’m getting a call from Metrocycle Pedicabs manager Donald. He’s got my phone and will happily drop it at the front desk of my hotel after his shift ends at 3am. What?! Pedaling across town after a long and exhausting shift, in the wee hours of the morning, just to return a phone? Now that’s customer service! I don’t always lose my phone during a pedicab ride, but when I do, I prefer Metrocycle!

One word… Flawless! Nathan is always quick to get quotes and they always arrive right on time! I never hesitate to refer them to our clients! If you’re looking for a fun way to get sent off in «Austin-​Style» for your wedding, DEFINITELY consider this Pedicab. Guests love it, and so will you!!!

This is one of my favorite things about downtown Austin, pedicabs! It’s easier to get around town on a pedicab than in a cab, and the drivers have always been so nice. Plus, in keeping with Austin tradition, it’s more environmentally friendly than cars. We will always use pedicabs over cars when possible!

Nathan (not me) was great, showed up on time and had the pedicab decorated as advertised for the wedding ride. Pedicab is the way to go when leaving a wedding reception. Even though the wedding was in August the ride at night was not bad. We had a fun ride and got some good pictures from it as well and a memorable evening. I would definetely recommend Metrocycle Pedicab to all my friends and family.

What fun! This was just like our own little parade! We were married at the Allan House at 11^th and San Antonio, and this made for some awesome pictures; coming out of the house surrounded by friends holding sparklers and then hopping into the cab! Seriously, taking anything but a pedicab would have been a missed opportunity! And when my husband and I mentioned we would have enjoyed a romantic walk across Congress bridge to our hotel, the driver didn’t hesitate to offer to drive ahead of us the rest of the way and drop off all the food we had with us at the front desk. (Our stuff was waiting in our room before we got there.) Thank you guys so much!

Beware… my wife paid months in advance to reserve the Wedding pedicab only for a no show!!! Despite getting a phone call from them days before to confirm… when it came time for us to leave our reception, we had to hitch a ride from a friend instead of being pedaled away in Austin style. The owner was apologetic and returned our money quickly, but he couldn’t begin to rectify the disappointment we had on our very special day! Not recommended for important occasions.
