Manny’s Drywall

My boyfriend and I are remodeling a duplex and hired Manny to help us out with our walls & ceilings. Manny & team did all of the mudding and taping on new drywall that we hung ourselves as well as repairs to old drywall. They also did finishing work such as seamlessly fixing ceiling and wall textures in peeling and problem areas. They were easy to work with, flexible, efficient, and went above and beyond what we asked them to do. I will hire them in again in the future. Thanks for the great work, Manny!

I had a couple of holes in two areas of my house and called a couple different people I found on Unilocal to see if they could come fix it. Only 2 people even responded and Manny was one of them. He was even able to give me a quick quote from my verbal description. He showed up on time, was fully equipped, made no mess at all, and left me with perfectly textured walls, at the price he quoted. Thanks Manny!

I hired Manny to tape-​and-​float and texture a wall and ceiling I patched after I did some minor remodeling. He and his partner were very professional and did an excellent job. Afterwards when I started to paint I noticed that the ceiling texture didn’t match well. So I called him to see if he could match the existing texture better. He and his partner came the next day and re-​textured the ceiling perfectly for no additional charge. Thanks Manny!

Two words that you don’t want to describe any contractor: shady and unreliable. Manny goes out of his way to slip things into the contract that you might not notice, but end up paying for in the end, and if you call him on it he rides through excuses that wouldn’t fool a 12-​year old. When he runs out of excuses he blames it on his «office» (he doesn’t have an office, this is just his last line of defense when he’s trying to screw you out of money). Doesn’t show up when he’s scheduled to, lies through his teeth at every opportunity to lure you in before bending you over. I’ve built and rehabbed over 5 million square feet and I can honestly say that Manny qualifies as one of the shadiest characters that I’ve ever come across. If you ever need a contractor, this is the last person that you should ever contact.

These guys came in on short notice and did a finishing job after we removed some wallpaper in our kitchen. They taped/​floated to repair the drywall damage from the wallpaper removal and did texture.
They were very friendly and professional. Showed up on time, finished faster than expected, did a great job. The texture is a good match to the rest of the house. He also made helpful recommendations about other drywall problems I could handle myself, and didn’t try to rush without spending time with me.
It seemed expensive but we honestly didn’t have any other quotes to compare to so it may have been right on. We haven’t done a lot of contracting so I wouldn’t say I’m a good judge for pricing.
Communication and speed were important because we needed the job done quickly. I have recommended them to friends.

We have used Manny twice for some drywall repairs at our house. Both times Manny was prompt to return calls, showed up exactly when he said he would, left no trace that he’d been there and did a flawless job. Highly recommend.

Manny and Joe were great! There were quick to respond via telephone, reasonably priced and fixed a hole in our ceiling fast while keeping the area clean as well.
The texturizing they did to match the rest of the ceiling was perfect, you cannot even tell where the spot was. Thank you and will will call you in the future if ever needed again!

Manny did a great job fixing a damaged section of drywall. He showed up on time to give me a bid, which was very reasonably priced. He showed up on time to fix the area, and made it look like it had never been damaged.

Manny addressed several drywall fixes that I needed in an apartment I am renovating, including some major damage in the kitchen where formica was taken down and a stove hood removed. He came the day after I called him, on time ready to go. He had one employee and they did a great job. The fixes look great — smooth, textured, integrated into the surrounding wallspace (e.g., they don’t stick out like the section of the wall had just been repaired). I would absolutely use him again. Manny is a reliable, well-​priced service provider. I wish more service providers were like him!

Manny was great. He was able to fix up multiple holes and issues in my bathroom. Textured and left it looking better than new… all in one day! highly recommended.

Manny does not do painting, he does sheetrock, tape and float and texturing. I am having my bathroom re-​done and my tile installer gave me his name. He came right over and gave me an estimate well below what the painters I had spoken to gave me.
That was yesterday. He and his two employees came in this morning and did all the repair work in the bathroom, removed the popcorn and re-​textured the walls, repaired all the cracks running around my celings and walls in the hall and living room and the area behind the door that is always getting bashed in by the door — AND put a stopper thing in to prevent it happening again. They taped off everything, covered and moved all the furniture and cleaned it all up and returned it all into position. all in 5 hours. A beautiful job — very nice guys and all quickly and efficiently.
Plus, he saved me about $ 1,000 on the upcoming paint job. Nice.
