So I just left this place and like an idiot I read the Google reviews and not so Unilocal reviews you. This has to be the worst reading I’ve ever had in my life. she told me the exact same thing that she told many other people who has left a review on Unilocal.she told me that I was going to come into a lot of money she also told me there are going to be two men that come into my life I am NOT a heterosexual I am a lesbian so she definitely had her wires crossed with this one. she also told me that I had three enemies two women and a man and then she told me that I need a $ 600 cleansing in order to get rid of the bad spirit. She just knew absolutely nothing and I understand that everyone’s gift is different but this woman is a scam please save your $ 45 go buy groceries or something I don’t know.

In 6 short minutes and $ 40 later, i was gifted with her amazing future telling.
Stop me if you’re heard these before:
— You will have a short term girlfriend then.
— You will marry 2 times.
— Have 2 kids w/​each woman (btw i’m hesitant about even having one kid)
— dont do business with family (amazing insight)
— I will live till 92 yrs of age. WOWZA

disclaimer: i went in with serious reservations but wanted to try it out b/​c of an interesting patch in my life. My gut feeling was right.

You must be forewarned. Madame is a scam artist. She’s a gypsy of the kind called Roma in Europe. She bleeds her victims for money to take away «curses» and «spells» that have been cast upon them preying on their weakness and lack of familiarity with both black magic and scam artists as experienced as her.
True helpful psychics and mediums perform what is known as WHITE MAGIC and would never ever try to get you to cure your so-​called curse with money. She claims for everyone there are enemies and your aura needs clearing at the tune of $ 500 or more.
This is a hoax. There are hundreds of these gypsies in NYC who say and act the exact same ways.

I have to be honest. When I first went to Madam Ruth and got my palm and tarot cards read, I was open to what she had to say. Although the reading was very short (maybe 7 minutes total) I thought she touched on a lot of things accurately. That is until I compared my reading with a co-​worker who also later visited her. Our readings were almost exactly the same:

Have you ever paid $ 40 for a fortune cookie? That would be dumb, right? Well, in my defense, this was a walking, talking fortune cookie that came in a guarded, gated, ghastly package. I can’t rightly give this place 1 star, because I knew in my heart of hearts that it would be a gigantic let-​down, even before we ever went in… and that would turn out to be the best prediction of the whole day.
I’ll make this quick:
I’m going to have 3 divorces. (break-​ups count. WHAT?!)
I’m going to have 3 children. (pets count. WHAT?!)
I’m going to marry a man. … or a woman… the stars were vague.
I’m going to be happy sometimes, and angry other times. (DEEP)
Last, but not least, I’m going to be $ 40 broker and 10x more disappointed in myself in 5…4…3…2…
Yea.
I predict there won’t be too many more psychic experiences in my future.

I have to give another review for Madam Ruth.
When I initially met her, she told me about my family — all things of which were true. She also told me that I had an admirer who thought he didn’t exist, and that he was tall, light brown haired, and likes to dance. A couple of months later I did meet him, and he said the exact words Madam Ruth did — he thought I didn’t know he existed. Some things just happen that way. Also she cleansed my love aura, since then life has been quite interesting, to say the least.
Check her out — make an appointment to get the most out of your money would be the best advice. :)

What I could actually make out for $ 40 plus an additional credit card fee:
You will move to a far away place with mountains and water.
You will have three children. Two earlier, and one much later.
You will be married twice. (eek, I don’t want to be married twice! Hubs does NOT approve of this.)
Go pray to the Holy Mother.
I came here in a moment of desperation about a year ago. We could call it an almost quarter life crisis. I say «almost» because I had just turned 23.
My verdict? I think this lady is looney-​toonz. Reason why I’m not giving her one star? I don’t know for *sure* that it wasn’t legit. I’ll update you Unilocalers if I end up moving Colorado or some other place that fits that description.

I went to Madam Ruth for a reading because a friend of mine said that she was pretty good and she just happened to be at a price I could afford at the time. It’s true she does mumble and her readings are very short, but she was right on about things that I needed help with. I believe she has some sort of gift because she did mention a few things about me she could not have known. I personally will not go back, but she might be good for some people. In the end I was a little upset that I had spent my money there.

For $ 40, Madam Ruth gave me a quick card reading spoken in a monotone that was sometimes hard to understand. She gave me a lot of typical psychic lines like «You have a secret admirer» and «You will come into a great fortune.» Yeah okay sure whatever. She said all of those things quickly, muttered them actually, looking at the cards and not at me.
But then she stopped and looked me in the eye. «Things were going okay, going good, but then recently something very bad happened. Very sudden.» Yep. «Now your family is having a lot of trouble.» Yes, true. «You have two enemies. I see one man, one woman.» Uh, unfortunately, yes… «You have a black cloud hanging over you. You’ve been having some bad luck.» Sigh. She got that right.
Then, and this part kind of cracks me up – she stopped the reading abruptly and told me to go to the Dollar Store. She told me to buy 3 Virgin Mary candles and 3 Virgen de Guadalupe ones, and bring them back to her. I did so, bemusedly.
When I returned with the candles she handed me a piece of paper, folded up, and muttered, «I wrote something on this for you, but I folded it up so don’t worry about it.» Ohhkay.
She read my palm, knew a couple things about me she had no way of knowing, then told me to take one of the candles and light it for 30 minutes every evening and morning. She said she’d pray for me and light the other candles to help me break this bad-​luck streak. Cool, I thought. I can sure use that kind of help.
When I got home, I unfolded the piece of paper. Here is what she had written on it:

I had my coworker contact her to see what she would tell my coworker. She told my coworker about her relationship that was not going well and that an older friend would want to be more than friends. When she said that, an image of a coworker (who is older than she) appeared in her mind. About a month later that coworker asked her out. They have now been dating for 6 months.

Let me begin by saying that I’m down with tarot card readers, astrologers, and all manner of spiritually-​inclined information-​givers. So my dissatisfaction has less to do with the information and more to do with the delivery. That is to say that everything she said to me could be entirely correct, but I’m disinclined to believe it or to care because of the speed at which the information was delivered.
I arrived at the appointed time, rang the doorbell and entered the small converted hallway or room. I paid my money, received my «reading» and was out the door about 8 (!) minutes later. At $ 40 that equals about $ 5 per minute. I’ve wasted money before, but *never* have I done it so quickly and with so little satisfaction.
As I said, she could be entirely correct about everything she said (and only time will tell) but the whole experience was a little too wham, bam, thank you ma’am for my taste.

Tarot card and palm readers have always fascinated me. I’ve wanted to learn what they do, how they use symbols to guide them in their psychic abilities, but I’d never been to an actual, professional, experienced palm reader, psychic or tarot card reader before. Well last Friday, a couple of friends picked me up (after I’d had a couple of beers) to go and seek out some adventure, do something we’d never done before, blah blah. If it weren’t for the beers, I might have protested when we passed this home on I-​35 before St. Johns, but inhibitions down, I was nothing if not a font of encouragement when our driver said, «Hey! Let’s go get our cards read!»
I’ve probably passed this place 342,549 times and only thought, «Hmmm… I wonder what goes on inside?» without really consciously realizing I can just walk up to the place at any time and find out for myself. There is a procedure to the reading, you walk up, ring on the doorbell, and wait while the lady inside, Madam Ruth, comes to the door and allows you entrance if she’s not busy, or asks you to wait if she is. There’s a big sign by the doorbell in case you forget and try to walk in without ringing. When we pulled up, a young man was in the middle of his reading. When he came out, he looked shaken, almost frightened, and said, «Curiosity kills, doesn’t it?». That was our first clue that Madam Ruth has a powerful ability.
Inside the home was a smallish room with religious icons placed throughout. A large statue of La Virgen de Guadalupe and paintings and pictures of Jesus and Mary hung on the walls and veladoras stood by on a table for prayer. I don’t know how much people usually pay, or if there is a pricing scale for time and depth, but my friend paid Madam Ruth $ 40 to read his tarot cards and the reading, in my humble opinion, was excellent.
I don’t want to violate his privacy, but everything she said about his past and present was spot on. She said some things about his near future that were so close to true, and so keeping with my friend’s personality that I couldn’t help but believe they would happen. She told him he has been planning a vacation for a long time about which he had some reservations, but he should take it, it would do him very well. She saw blue, and as soon as she said it I envisioned an ocean. This is a guy that has been planning for years to sail around the world someday. Her telling of his past, of his pains and triumphs and loves was also spot on. There was no way I could believe that what she said about his future couldn’t be true too. In fact, his reading was so good, it made me realize that I really don’t want to know. I want to just live my life and hope for the best. I don’t want to know if my life will be short or tediously long.
I don’t know if every reading will make you feel like you’ve pretty much seen the future, but I know that the entire reading didn’t take long and was very entertaining, like she was telling us his life’s story. Madam Ruth told us she has been reading tarot in Austin for 55 years (if I’m remembering correctly, she didn’t seem that old). I think she’s brilliant at it. If you’ve been interested in getting your palm or tarot cards read, it’s pretty easy and pleasant to go to Madam Ruth.
