I’m reluctant to post a review because I’d like to keep Looks By Erika my little secret. Why? Because the more people who find out about her, the harder it will be to get in to see her! When my hairdresser moved to Dallas 3 years ago, I was distraught. Until her, I had never found someone who could color my hair and consistently make it look great. I’m not high maintenance or overly picky, my hair turns gray, orange or green without the proper color and treatment. Anyway, after she left, I bounced around to a few people, but never found anyone who could give me the WOW factor. Then a friend recommended Erika. At first, I thought it was insane to drive an hour and half, just to get my hair done. I figured I’d try her once, just to appease my friend. I’ve now been driving 1.5 hours to get my hair done for over 2 years. She is so much better than anyone I’ve ever had. She does highlights and lowlights… And all other techniques I can’t even spell. I’ve been trying to grow my hair out for several years. Every time I’d go somewhere else to get it cut, I’d tell them just a very small trim. They’d end up taking several inches every time. Somehow Erika makes my hair look LONGER and thicker after I get it cut! She truly is a miracle worker… She’s great at offering suggestions and coming up with ideas to change your current look. I usually hate sitting the chair for extended periods of time and would avoid it until absolutely necessary. Erika is so easy to talk to (or not talk, based on my mood) she makes me want to go back each time!

Definitely the best experience I’ve ever had just because she’s so knowledgable and she really takes her time and gets to know you and your wants and hair of course! I’ve been to Erika 3 times already and we’ve finally reached the color I really wanted! So it’s been a process but totally worth the wait, you can’t expect to go in and come out with your dream hair color and she will tell you that! But I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair I just keep saying its Erika!!! She’s great! Do yourself a favor and book her!

Loving my hair cut and style! Erika is the best stylist in Austin. She knows what she’s doing, color is her life! Trust me, you will love her. Trust her! She will do your do to perfection!

I was looking for a stylist who could help me with my horrible hair disaster. I walked into my first visit with Erika Loya with shoulder length, over processed hair. My hair had major breakage and looked thin and unhealthy. Erika sat me down and studied my hair and explained how distressed it was and what I needed to do to nurse it back to life. I was a little nervous because I knew cutting my hair was the first step of the plan. However, Erika assured me that everything would be fine and I would like my new cut and color.
I sat and watched Erika use her «Magic Scissors» as she cut my hair into a chin length angled bob. She also measured, poured and mixed color like a mad scientist to get that perfect color while minimizing damage to my hair. Finally, after about 3hrs of cutting, coloring, highlighting, conditioning and styling… the moment of truth arrived. I looked in the mirror and I LOVED my new hair! I had a cute, bouncy, shiny, healthy looking hair style. I couldn’t stop touching my hair. In fact — I had more compliments from people after getting my hair styled by Erika then I have ever had in my many many years of getting my hair done.
Erika then set up a maintenance plan that would help me eventually regrow my longer hair.
It has been about 7 months now and I have actually enjoyed each stage my hair has gone through. I haven’t experienced that terrible growing out stage. My hair looks great each time I leave the salon. I am an extremely pleased customer. My hair is growing and feels and looks thicker and healthier then it has in years.
Erika has provided by far the best experience I have had to date. She listens, suggests and always delivers.
